Chosen Wolf (The Marked Wolf #2)(26)
Author: Jen L. Grey

It turned me on so much. I didn’t care if I had bruises in the morning.

My brain fogged as I kissed him back fervently. I needed him so much. I grabbed the bottom of his shirt and lifted it, parting from his lips.

He pulled it over his head and tossed it aside.

My hands greedily rubbed all down his chest, enjoying the warm buzzing between our skin and the feel of his abs. You’re so sexy.

And you’re fucking gorgeous. He clutched my shirt and removed it, letting our chests touch. In the next second, he unfastened my bra, and I flung it to this hotel chain’s standard tan colored carpet.

He lifted me, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. His kisses were desperate and hungry, which torched my body.

As he lowered me to the bed, on top of the white comforter, I bit his lip.

You’re killing me, he growled.

Good. The feel of his body on mine intoxicated me. I lowered my hand to the waistband of his jeans and tugged. Off.

Maybe I’m not in the mood to listen. He captured my arms and held them still on either side of my head. He kissed down my neck to my breasts. He then greedily took my nipple into his mouth and flicked his tongue. Pleasure coursed through my body.

I panted as I stared at the white ceiling. Oh, God.

He lowered his body on top of mine and rubbed his hardness against my core. I bucked against him, needing more.

After a second, I yanked my wrists from his grip and pushed him over so I could climb on top. I raised my hips so I could unbutton his jeans and then stood to yank them off. As soon as he was naked, my eyes devoured him, and I removed any barrier that could come between us.

He scooted against the dark wood headboard, waiting for me.

And I didn’t hesitate to respond. I straddled him and guided him inside me, lowering ever so slowly onto him.

A guttural groan filled him. Faster, please.

You punished me for a second, so now it’s my turn. I moved up and down slowly, letting the friction build. He leaned forward and captured my breast in his mouth.

We moved in unison, taking our time and enjoying the privacy and solitude we finally had.

Every time we connected, our bond strengthened.

All too soon, an orgasm rocked through our bodies. With our connection, we shared each other’s pleasure on top of our own, making the experience mind-blowing.

As soon as our bodies were done, I rolled over, and he wrapped his arms around my waist. Within seconds, I was out cold.

The hotel’s breakfast options were pitiful, but the meal was included with our stay, so I would make it count.

The eight of us sat at one table, and Samuel was the one with dark circles under his eyes today. He sat at the end of the table, right in front of Aidan. Beth sat next to him, directly in front of me. Gabby was between Beth and Logan while Amethyst sat next to me with Coral on the other end on our side.

“You weren’t kidding when you said those two snore.” He took a bite of waffle and frowned. “It was like a never-ending freight train. I kept waiting on the caboose, but it never came.”

“You’re the caboose,” Beth snapped.

“What? That doesn’t even make sense.” Samuel sighed as he chewed. “If we do this again, I’m running to a store. I’ll need some earplugs pronto.”

“You should get us all a pair.” I was sure we’d wind up rooming with Beth and Logan again before it was all over.

Gabby yawned as she laid her head on Logan’s shoulder. His eyes darkened to a near blue color at her touch.

“We need to finish up and get on the road.” Aidan squeezed my leg lovingly. “Do you feel a tug right now?”

“No.” I’d hoped that something would lead us to her, but nothing tugged at me. “Maybe we need to drive around and see if either Gabby or I feel anything.”

“I’m so glad you two have such an amazing plan.” Logan dropped his fork on his plate and closed his eyes. “It’s good to know that you’ve dragged Gabby out here when you don’t have a fucking clue what to do.”

Aidan tensed beside me, ready to come to my defense.

Let me try. I took his hand and rubbed my finger along his thumb. “Well, by all means, tell us what we should do.”

Logan blanched, and his shoulders tensed. “Well …”

“Oh, you’re speechless?” Beth tilted her head and opened her mouth in fake shock. “I figured with how you run your mouth, you’d have answers.”

“Well, you know how those alpha males are.” Coral batted her eyes at Logan. “Quick to criticize but unable to provide any solutions.”

“Hey now,” he growled too loudly with humans around.

“No, you deserve that.” Gabby sat straight and smacked him in the arm. “All you’ve been is an ass to them.”

“Says the girl who didn’t want to come and tried to get out of it by fighting Emma.” Logan didn’t miss a beat in calling her out.

“It was because I’d found my family and was afraid to leave,” she murmured. “But I’m glad she won. She was right; I need to be part of this. This is what I’m meant to do. I feel it now.” Her eyes widened. “I really feel it. Do you?”

A slight tug pulled at me that I hadn’t noticed before. “Yeah, I do.” I grabbed the last piece of bacon on my plate and stuffed it in my mouth. “We need to go.”

“Okay.” Amethyst nodded and grabbed her plate. “Let’s go find our girl.”

We’d been driving around the heart of Jamestown for thirty minutes. It was a small town, so it was a good thing we weren’t here to sightsee.

We took a main road away from the city and into the less populated outskirts, which didn’t surprise me. I had a feeling she wasn’t in the city center. It would have been too easy to find her there.

Everyone was tense and uneasy in the vehicle. The witches followed behind us since Gabby and I were the two who would lead us to her.

After another thirty minutes, the tugging became stronger. “Turn right here.” I pointed to a gravel road that led into dense trees.

“Okay.” Aidan slowed down, and just as we completed the turn, Samuel honked the horn twice behind us.

“What the hell?” Beth complained in the very back of the suburban. “They can’t call us, for God’s sake?”

Aidan stopped the car, and Amethyst jumped out of the passenger seat and ran to my window. This was kind of strange.

I rolled it down. “What’s up?”

“We need to go the rest of the way on foot.” Amethyst stared down the road.

“Why?” We couldn’t just leave our cars here.

“Because you’re leading us to the coven that doesn’t want us to visit.” Amethyst frowned. “So we need to be careful and stake it out before forcing our way in.”

It caught me off guard even though it shouldn’t have. The witches were hiding her, so we had to be careful not to start another war.

Chapter Thirteen

We parked the vehicles several miles away from the road that led to the coven. We’d found a gravel pull-off area. Trees surrounded the area, so we’d parked in the corner section, praying the trees would hide us enough so no one would stop to check on the vehicles. If we wanted to stay undetected, we had to at least try to be inconspicuous.
