Tearing her panties off, he slid his fingers through the wetness and let out a snarl as she sighed into his mouth, the sound torn from her very center. He pushed a finger in, going deep, while she began to rock on his hand. He added another, letting her ride his fingers while his other hand reached down and covered her hand that was still on his shaft. He began to pump her hand up and down slowly on his hardness while he matched the tempo with his fingers deep within her.
“I want you,” she whispered against his ear. Words wouldn’t have been able to describe the depth to which her need for him ran. “Now.”
In one deft move, he’d removed his hand, grabbed her ass, and had her poised on the tip of his hardness. He locked his lips onto hers, then let her down, slowly, inch by inch as he filled her, stretching her, raising her up then lowering her even more, bit by bit, he did this, letting her get accustomed to the girth of him until she was planted firmly on him, completely and totally impaled.
“Asa,” she hissed, drawing his name out as her body shuddered, so very close to release.

The wolf which had been his biggest problem was the reason they’d bonded, the reason he’d healed, how he’d overcome the damage inflicted on both him and his animal.
She wove her fingers behind his head and pulled him close, placed her lips on his as she screamed his name out. He bellowed, roared her name then released his warmth deep inside her.
They stayed like that. Her on his lap, his essence and hers melding and trickling down, staining the sheets with their love.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Later—Hours later? An eternity later? Moments later?—he kissed her shoulder.
She opened her eyes lazily, heavy-lidded. “Have I been claimed?”
“My heart claimed you long ago,” he told her. She was made for him. She was perfect for him and his wolf, this woman who’d been there when shit got so bad that he was ready to yield to his wolf’s desire to see him dead. “But shifters have a way of bonding; it’s a bite.”
Her eyes widened, no longer appearing sleepy. “I like biting.” She flashed a grin. “Warning, I bite back.”
Now, how had he known she’d be alright with that? He smiled. “Well, it’s more than that. It leaves a mark, this bond, it will mark you for life as mine.”
“I’m okay with that. I’m yours, mark or no mark.”
“It happens while we have sex, this bite.”
She licked her lips in a way he knew she was well aware would drive him crazy. “I’m game.”
Oh, he was so very game himself. “Let’s go into the shower. It has enough room for two.” Plus a little bit of extra space for what he had in mind.
Her eyes twinkled. She leapt up, her body beautiful, curvy in all the right places, bouncing in the perfect spots. She turned and headed toward the shower then peered at him over her shoulder while he eyed that perfect ass of hers.
“Well?”
Damn. “Hang on.” He bounded toward her, grabbed her by the shoulders, and looked deep into those violet eyes, wrapped his fingers in her hair, and lowered his lips close to hers. “I forgot something.”
“What?” Her face was puzzled.
“To tell you that I love you.”
Her response was a soft sigh followed by a moan she probably didn’t even realize she’d given him. “I love you, too.”
Now, that was a perfect ending. And a perfect beginning.
