Pulling my head up, I stare into her lust blown eyes.
“I’ve applied to Maddison Kings,” I repeat, sounding a little more confident this time.
“But... why? You want to go to UCLA. You’ve always wanted to go to UCLA. I don’t...” She shakes her head, cute frown lines forming on her brow.
“Everything’s changed now, Pops,” I say, rubbing my thumb over her creased skin before cupping her cheek.
“But—”
“Nothing’s set in stone, it’s up for discussion but I wanted it to be an option.”
“But... UCLA,” she repeats, concern still filling her features.
“Yeah, but there’s something else I want more.”
Her eyes hold mine, hope shining in them for what I might be alluding to and my heart swells.
“I love you, Poppy Thorn. I don’t want to move halfway across the country if it means leaving you behind. Maddison Kings is a good school, they have a good team and excellent programs. I could go for a year, and then maybe you could join me. We could get our own place off-campus together. You’d be close to your brother’s and sister. Sorry, I—” I go to apologize, thinking that from the look on her face that I might have got a little carried away.
“You’ve really thought about this, haven’t you?”
“You’re it for me, Pops. I want to be wherever you are.”
“And what if I want to be wherever you are?”
“Then I could do a year at Maddison and transfer to wherever you want to go.”
“Oh, Zayn. I love you.”
“I love you too,” I mumble against her lips as she presses hers to mine and sweeps her tongue into my mouth.
I’m just about ready to fuck her once again when there’s an almighty crash from outside our closet.
“What the hell?”
Poppy wriggles in my hold and I reluctantly place her back down on her feet.
There’s another loud noise, this time something smashing before a cry sounds out.
“Fuck,” Poppy barks, clearly recognizing the voice as she rushes to right her dress before flying out of the closet.
I make quick work of pulling my boxers and pants back up before following her out.
“Ruby,” Poppy cries, running toward where she’s sitting on the floor, her arms wrapped around her knees as she continues to cry.
Glancing around the room, I find liquid coating the far wall with shattered glass all over the floor beneath.
“What’s wrong? What’s happened? Are you hurt?” Poppy asks in a panic, dropping to her knees beside her friend and tucks her hair from her face.
“He... he’s coming back. I can’t see him again, Poppy. I can’t. I can’t live with him again. I won’t survive it.”

Wow, I don’t really know what to say. Poppy and Zayn’s story sure was a wild ride. I enjoyed discovering who they both were so much and finding out just how strong Poppy was.
I hope you enjoyed reading their journey as much as I did writing it.
I can’t believe this is the fifth book in the series already. It’s almost been a year since I released Thorn. These boys have taken me on journey’s that I really wasn’t expecting, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
There are only two more to go, assuming I manage to stop adding more books.
Ruby’s story is next, make sure you’ve picked up FAZE the prequel to her and Ashton’s story, FURY. I’m so excited to dive back into the two of them.
