“Is your present sex?” Will asks, an undisguised note of eagerness in his voice.
“You’ll see.”
I gesture for him to sit on the bed, then I move to my dresser and retrieve a little box from the top drawer. “This is my present,” I say, kneeling down in front of him and presenting him with the ring.
His mouth falls open as he catches sight of the platinum band inside the box. “Is that a—?”
“I love you so much, Will,” I tell him. “And I’ve known for a long time that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But if you’re not ready we can just put this away and I’ll wait—”
“Are you insane?” Will cries. “Why would I want to put that anywhere but on my finger?”
My face splits into a giant grin. “Is that a yes?”
“Yes, you idiot, of course it’s a yes!”
I take the ring from the box and slide it onto his finger, before crawling up his body so I can claim his lips in a fierce, exhilarating kiss.
“Damn, this ring is such a better gift than the handcuffs,” he says with a pout as we break away.
I push him back onto the bed, crawling on top of him and straddling his waist. “No way. There’s no better gift than fluffy pink handcuffs.”
