California Love(31)
Author: TK Cherry

That question lingered until an hour ago. All of a sudden, I want to play dumb, simply because Drew has his mouth on my pussy. Now, I’m writhing and moaning out his name.

He’s apologized numerous times, I remind myself. He hadn’t planned on being this tied up when he initially invited me here.

I glance down between my thighs and see a set of hungry eyes peering up at me. I caterwaul like a stray kitten, which eggs him on even more. His tongue is relentless, causing my back to arch up from the mattress.

“I want to make you come three times, so don’t fall asleep,” he murmurs.

Oh God—I can’t miss out on this. I’ve been waiting for it for so long. Please, lethargic body…don’t fail me now.

I’m atop the duvet of his master bed, naked as a jaybird. Meanwhile, Drew remains fully clothed in jeans and a green Oakland A’s tee. I don’t know why this picture turns me on, but it does. I should feel cheap, but I don’t. I feel cherished. Worshipped.

“Baby—I’ve missed this cunt so much,” he declares as he continues feasting on me.

I am right there…right on the fucking edge. He sticks one finger inside me, and I’m gone. I scream my release, and he rocks up to his knees. He starts by peeling off his shirt from behind his back like a seductive magician. Oh shit—that’s hotter than a motherfucker. I stare mindlessly at his sculpted abs as he shimmies out of his jeans and takes out a condom before tossing them on the floor.

He stalks over my body, examining every inch.

“I am going to fuck the shit outta you, Quen. Believe that.”

The bass in his voice shakes my ribs, while his promise rocks my sex. Even though it still pulsates with my orgasm, it’s already anticipating the next one.

“Yes—please.”

“Oh—fuck yeah, baby.”

The condom is on in seconds flat and he’s parting my legs and sliding into me. I cry out Drew’s name as he proceeds to go from zero to sixty in nanoseconds. My cries get louder, and he grunts in my ear with each thrust.

Buzz! Buzz!

Out of nowhere, I hear an annoying buzzing sound coming from the nightstand. No, no…not the phone, I groan on the inside. Thankfully, Drew ignores it, and so do I as he proceeds to fuck me well.

“You feel so good, Quen. You’re so… Fucking… Tight…” he pumps out.

Buzz! Buzz!

“Oh God!”

He fucks me harder, and I’m right back there again.

“Oh—Oh my God!” I scream out.

Buzz! Buzz!

“Goddammit!” he shouts. “Who the fuck is it?!”

“No—don’t answer it…”

But it’s too late. He’s already rolled off me and reaching for his phone before I have the chance to really protest. I let out a big deep sigh while my vagina screams at me for being so close to ecstasy, yet so far away.

“What, Sam!”

Fucking Sam?! I honestly thought he was my new friend! How could he do this to me? Fuuuuucccckkkk.

Whatever Sam says to Drew has him darting out of bed and landing on his feet.

“Wait a minute, kid…slow down,” he says to his PA in a soothing voice. “Tell me what happened from the beginning.”

The shocked expression on Drew’s face has me scared. I shift in the bed, untuck the duvet, and wrap it around my body. In contrast, Drew stands there in his full naked glory, looking like a Greek god. However, I can’t get my mind back in the gutter with this wave of concern present. What’s going on at work? Why is Sam calling Drew close to midnight during the weekend?

As Drew listens intently, I can hear Sam speaking loudly through the earpiece. I can’t make out a single word of it, though. As soon as Sam stops talking, Drew’s head drops into his free hand and he kneads his tightly shut eyes.

“Fuck, man. Hey—give me a second.”

Drew holds the phone away and hits mute before turning to me in bed.

“Baby, I’m so sorry. Apparently, there’s a crisis at one of my data centers. Someone overseas may have possibly breached our network.”

“Oh no!” I groan. “How bad is it? I mean…how much data did they get?”

“That’s what we’re trying to figure out. I’m going to have to call an emergency conference call and get to the bottom of this. Shit!” he growls, then slams his fist against the nightstand. I jump at the loud sound.

“Go ahead and handle it now,” I urge. “This is important.”

He sighs in both exhaustion and guilt. “I’m sorry.”

“Stop saying that,” I whine. “It’s not your fault.”

He nods, but his expression doesn’t convince me that he believes he should be in the clear. He quickly gets dressed and bolts out of the room. I can hear the door to his study shutting down the hall.

I bundle myself tighter in the duvet, feeling like a cold, sad little girl. Instead of feeling empathetic towards Drew and his data crisis, I’m feeling sorry for myself.

Again, Waverly, why did you even come here?

With that never-ending question looping in my head, I meander out of bed and head to the master bath to shower.

I’ve seen more of O’Brien Manor this weekend than I cared to see. After showering and dressing in a cami and shorts, I didn’t know what to expect when exiting the master bedroom. I searched down the hall, anticipating a shut study door, but it was wide open and dark inside. Before I could head up the spiral staircase, Drew ran down wearing a buttoned-up white shirt, black slacks, and Gucci loafers. He’d obviously showered and changed in one of the guestrooms.

“Hey,” I exhaled in surprise. “Going somewhere?”

He nodded apologetically. “Yeah—that’s what I was coming to tell you. I need to meet my staff at the office for an emergency meeting. Go ahead and make yourself at home. I should be back in a couple hours.”

I sit in the living room and check my phone to see that it’s now going on eleven AM. I need to be back home in Troutdale to start my shift at three. I could easily call Mr. Glass and tell him that I won’t be in today, but he’s already done so much for me. I can’t take advantage of his kindness.

As I stand, Drew finally comes breezing out of the elevator. The funny thing about it is that he doesn’t look like a man that’s been awake for over twenty-four hours. In fact, he looks as fresh as a fucking daisy.

“Hey,” I greet soberly, “is everything okay with your data center?”

“Yeah, yeah.” Drew waves off. He steps to me and kisses me on the cheek. “Those bandits in Russia didn’t get much.”

“Russia?!” I heave in utter shock.

Drew nods. “Yep. We nipped that in the bud. Just when I was getting ready to call you to let you know that I was on my way home, Royce Gillen shows up to the building and begs me to meet with him.”

“Whoa!” I gasp.

“Yeah. And since my whole team was there, we took his fucking meeting. The winner of the deal somehow breached the contract. So, the deal is back on the table—and this time it’s sweeter than before.

“Wow, that’s…that’s great!” I reply, genuinely happy for him.

I knew from our time on the road how important getting Gillen Tech was to Drew. Losing it nearly sent him on a downward spiral. He told me he began second guessing everything. But after some time away from the office, and meeting me, he said he was able to get a new perspective.
