Dark (Dangerous Web #2)(29)
Author: Aleatha Romig

“Tell me and I’ll get lube.”

“Don’t stop. Take me, Reid. I’m all yours.”

As he pulled out and the large tip of his cock pressed against my back hole, I knew this was what I wanted and needed. I wanted my husband to re-stake his claims, to take away any thoughts that there had been anyone else.

I held my breath as Reid took what was his and his alone. My body instinctively fought, but there was no resistance that would hold him back. I bit my lip as the pressure built.

“You’re so fucking tight.”

Still biting my lip, I held onto the edge of the counter and pushed back until he stilled. With only a small bit of his destination accomplished, our eyes met in the mirror. His were glazed with the sexiest sheen of desire. Though mine were moist, I knew what I wanted. “Don’t ask me, Reid. Take me.”

A shrill scream escaped my lips as he did exactly as I wanted. Pain and pleasure. My grip tightened to a vise on the edge of the counter. He stilled again. “Sweetheart, it feels too good to stop. Relax. I’ll make it good.”

I breathed in and out. “I don’t want you to stop.”

His fingers found my clit, rubbing small gentle circles. It wasn’t enough to bring me to climax. However, it was perfect to gather my attention. My knees began to keep time to the rhythm he created. The more and more he pleasured, the more endorphins flowed through my circulation. With my concentration elsewhere, his cock continued its invasion.

Each time I hesitated, he stilled. It was a dance, and while he was leading, he was also listening, not only to my words, but to my sounds and the way my body moved. Reid knew me better than anyone in the world. It was why I trusted him to take this part of me and make it good for both of us. “God, Reid, I’m so full.”

“Just a little more.”

My wish had been granted. There was no one in my thoughts but him, here and now. I concentrated on his touch, the way he orchestrated my clit and dipped his fingers inside me. As my body was at battle with his incursion, pleasure won the war.

Starting at my toes, a new and more powerful climax built within me.

“Fuck, it feels good.” His deep baritone filled with satisfaction was the last ingredient to my complete indulgence.

“Yes. So good.” And it did.

Reid craned my neck toward him as his lips seized mine. His tongue tasted like me.

As he continued to work me, stoking the fire inside me, he filled every one of my senses until I was consumed with the overwhelming sensation of him.

Reid’s hands went to my hips as he steadied his footing. In and out he thrust, slow and steady. Fire burned while pleasure contained the flames. No longer were there unwanted thoughts or questions swirling in my mind. There was no one or no place other than here. I was incapable of living outside this moment.

“Touch yourself.”

My nipples turned to diamonds at his command.

I didn’t question his meaning as my fingers went to my clit, resuming what he had started. The smoldering coals that had been burning ignited. The extra fuel from my own touch was the accelerant to an out-of-control blaze.

Volcanoes erupt with less pressure.

I screamed out my husband’s name as Reid’s rhythm increased. I was above the clouds, dancing with the stars as supernovas continued to explode within me. Their blasts ricocheted throughout my circulation.

How I remained standing was a mystery.

It had to be Reid. He wouldn’t allow me to fall, not from outer space.

Faster and faster he pumped until a deep guttural roar reverberated throughout the bathroom. It might have gone farther. Beyond our apartment, our floor, or out of the building.

Did pedestrians on the street, ninety-plus stories below, hear the rumbling roar and assume a storm was brewing?

My body lay prone, my chest to the counter, as Reid again folded his massive body over mine. With his cock still buried deep inside me, his arms wrapped around my waist. “I’m keeping you right here, forever.”

Though my energy was gone, I smiled and made a sorry attempt to wiggle my ass. “Did you say no moving?”

“If you keep that shit up, there will be a lot more moving.” Slowly, he eased back, separating our connection, and making what had been one, two. I was left with an emptiness where only seconds before I had been overflowing.

“Don’t move.” He playfully slapped my backside. “This time I mean it.”

I wasn’t sure I could physically disobey.

I didn’t know if it was the orgasm still sparking through my body’s nervous system or the sleeping pill I’d taken. Either way, I obeyed his command without hesitation, closing my eyes as in the distance I heard the sound of running water.

A warm cloth came to my sensitive flesh as Reid tended to my well-loved and tender core. “I love you, Mrs. Murray.” His deep voice settled around me like a warm blanket. “Never forget you’re mine.”

My eyes opened to see his handsome face before mine. “I’m pretty sure I’ll remember every time I move tomorrow.”

“Come here.”

I forced myself to stand, pushing away from the vanity. The reflection in the mirror still displayed bruises in a variety of colors, yet there was more. My flesh was dotted with red where his beard growth had abraded it, and my eyes were glassy with complete satisfaction. I turned around to face my husband.

I wasn’t sure when he rid himself of his jeans and shoes, but as I scanned my man up and down, taking in his naked perfection, I saw what God intended when he created man. Reid’s toned muscles displayed his recent workout. His arms were defined and his abs rippled. His thighs bulged and his cock stood ready for a second round.

I longed to run the tips of my fingers over every crest and crevice.

Yet before my mind and hands could coordinate, I was lifted into the air and cradled in his arms. My cheek fell to his wide chest as he carried me to our bed.

As he walked, the world passed by in familiar scenes—our bedroom, windows, furniture, and bed. There was nothing that didn’t belong.

Keeping me cradled, he scattered the throw pillows, mumbling under his breath at their quantity, and pulled back the covers.

With the gentleness of caring for a newborn baby, he laid me upon the soft sheets. It was an about-face from the way he’d just ravaged me minutes earlier, and at the same time, it wasn’t. I blinked up at my husband. “I’ve never loved anyone like I love you.”

His brown eyes glistened as his cheeks rose in the bedroom’s dim light. “That’s good because I love you, and don’t get any ideas because, sweetheart, you’re stuck with me.”

When he stepped out of my vision, a cold chill returned. I felt their presence. The thoughts, images, and memories were back, hiding in the shadows, ready to strike and obliterate my bliss.

Pulling the blankets to my bare chest, I blinked away a man with black hair.

Another blink, and a sickening scent of staleness filtered in and out of reality.

My hands came to my ears as the old woman’s crackle rang within.

“No.” I didn’t know if I spoke aloud. “Stop.”

“Lorna.”

I opened my eyes as Reid’s large hands framed my cheeks.

“Me. Think of me,” he commanded, his tone steady in the sea of my dark thoughts.

My chest ached. “I’m trying.”
