Karma
We picked up Chinese food and went back to Anthony’s. He made sure we avoided the main house like the plague. He asked me about my week and school. I asked him about work. Was it our normal conversation? No, but it was a start.

My alarm went off early Saturday morning and Anthony drove me back to the University.

For the next four hours, I focused solely on my dives and the pointers from Coach Everett. By the time I got out of the pool I felt really good about how I was doing. I hoped the team kept this up so we could keep up our points standings.
Kayleigh and I decided to eat lunch and spend the afternoon together. It had been a while since we spent time just being silly. We ogled hot guys at the mall, tried on outrageous outfits and pigged out on funnel cakes. I felt like a new person by the time we got back to our dorm.
“I needed that,” I said, flopping down on the couch.
“Me, too,” Kayleigh said. “So, have you decided what you’re going to do about Anthony yet?”
“Yeah, I’m going to give him another chance, like a real chance. None of this was his fault so it’s not fair to blame him for something his father did.”
“What about Bodie?”
“What about him?”
“Are you going to give him the same chance?”
“Yeah, I think I am. It’s been almost a week since I found out and I can see the different sides clearly now.”
“Look at you acting like an adult,” Kayleigh teased.
“I know, amazing right?”
“I have a question and I want you to think about it before you answer, okay?”
“Sure.”
“If it was a possibility, would you date Bodie?”
“Why would you ask me that?”
“I’ve just seen the way you two interact and sometimes it seems like there’s a lot of chemistry between you guys. I don’t want you to say anything right now, but we’re going to talk about this again later.”
I had no idea what to say to that, so I was glad I wasn’t supposed to answer now. Kayleigh’s phone rang and I could tell by her face it was Major. I took that opportunity to text Anthony.
Me: Are you busy?
Anthony: No. What’s up?
Me: Would you like to pick me up and take me for a nice dinner?
Anthony: Yes. I’m on the way.
I smiled and went to my room to get ready. Once my hair and makeup were done, I put on some sexy lingerie and my favorite black dress. Slipping into my heels, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I felt like this was our first date.
“You look smokin’,” Major said, when I walked out of my room.
“Thank you,” I said.
“Big night?”
“I told Anthony to take me somewhere nice for dinner.”
“Hang on,” he said, and took out his phone and pointed at me. “Smile.”
I did and heard his phone click. “What was that for?”
“I thought you’d like a nice picture to send to your parents or something,” he told me. “Just texted it to you.”
“Cool. Thanks. What are you guys up to tonight?”
“I think we’re going for pizza then maybe a movie,” Kayleigh said.
“I won’t be home tonight, so feel free to have all the sex you want while I’m gone.”
She rolled her eyes at me, but I saw a little bit of a blush on her cheeks. My phone dinged. It was Anthony letting me know he was here.
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” I said, as I walked out the door laughing.
When I got downstairs Anthony was waiting for me just outside the building doors.
