My Kind of Love (Finding Love #1)(48)
Author: Nikki Ash

“Doesn’t matter,” Lexi says. “We were barely teenagers and you were a good eight years older. You simply in a hot tub with a woman was like watching porn for us.”

“You ladies are insane.” Ryan shakes his head. “RJ is at your mom’s. He was getting tired, so I brought him over so he could fall asleep there.”

“Thank you,” I say, getting off the bed and walking over to give him a kiss. “We’re going to go get ready,” I say to Lexi and Georgia without taking my eyes off Ryan.

“Uh-huh, sure you are.” Lexi laughs. “More like thinking about Ryan in a hot tub got you all hot and bothered and now you’re going to go bone him since you can.”

“Don’t say bone,” Georgia chides. “She’s not hooking up with him. She’s making love to him.”

Lexi and Georgia both laugh.

“Be ready to go by nine,” I say, dragging Ryan out of the room.

“Is that true?” Ryan asks, once we’re alone. “Did me in the hot tub get you all hot and bothered?”

He pulls me into his arms and dips his fingers into my pajamas shorts, under my panties. “Fuck, woman. You’re drenched.”

“It’s not my fault,” I whine. “You’re hot and you know it.” I pull his face down for a kiss. “And it makes me very happy to know Laura and you didn’t do anything in the hot tub.”

“Oh yeah,” he murmurs against my lips. “And why is that?”

“Because I fantasized about us doing it in the hot tub many, many times when I was younger, and now that we’re together, I’m going to have to insist on that fantasy coming true.”

“We can definitely make that happen,” he says, swiping his tongue across the seam of my lips. “But since there isn’t one here, how about we shower together and consider it a warm-up?”

“That sounds absolutely perfect.”

“For future reference,” Lexi says, strolling into the living room. “Your bathroom presses up against the guest bathroom.” She saucily winks, and my face flushes, as I recall what went on in the bathroom.

“Oh, don’t get all shy now. It made for some great shower entertainment. Way better than porn. But you might want to keep it down if you have anyone besides me staying in there. Or you know… if you have more kids.”

She laughs, and Georgia snorts. They’re both dressed in gorgeous dresses, perfect for the clubs here. Lexi’s is tiny and black, showing off her pert breasts and toned, pale legs. She’s wearing tall, black heels to match. Her blond hair is pin straight and her makeup is barely there. Where Lexi’s is sexy, Georgia’s is more classy. It’s a deep crimson red with long sleeves. It’s not as tight or short as Lexi’s and it completely covers her chest. She’s wearing black heels to match. Her hair is down in loose waves and her makeup is also lightly done.

“You look beautiful,” Lexi says, already moving on to another subject, as if telling us she got off to us having sex in the shower isn’t a big deal. “A total MILF.” She winks.

“Thanks.” I’m back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but my body is thicker, more shapely than it was before I had RJ. My breasts, even though I’m no longer breastfeeding, are bigger, and my hips are a bit wider. When the girls confirmed they would be coming down this weekend, since their finals ended a couple days ago, my mom and I went shopping so I could buy a couple new outfits.

The dress I’m wearing is an olive green tie back dress. It’s short like Lexi’s and dips in the front, showing off my cleavage, but is long-sleeved like Georgia’s dress. I’m wearing nude heels, my hair has been straightened, and I’m only wearing a bit of mascara. I tend to sweat when I dance, and I don’t want my face coming off.

“I would agree,” Ryan says, entering the room, looking sexy as hell. He’s wearing a black button-down collared shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, exposing his corded forearms. His jeans fit snuggly against his muscular thighs, and his shoes are brown suede. He’s even trimmed his beard, so it’s neat.

“But she’s my MILF,” he adds, pressing his lips against mine. “You look fucking sexy as hell, babe,” he says, tugging on my bottom lip. My body sags against his and a soft moan escapes past my lips.

“Oh, no,” Lexi says. “Let’s go. If we don’t leave now, you two will end up back in the shower. And based on how long you were moaning, your man has some stamina.”

Ryan nuzzles his face into the curve of my neck and chuckles. “You need to find new friends.”

“She’s not my friend,” I joke. “She’s family.”

“I’m both,” Lexi cuts in, grabbing my hand and pulling me away from Ryan. “And there’s nobody like me.”

We take an Uber to the Strip and have him drop us off in front of a popular Italian restaurant for dinner. We each order a martini, and after begging Ryan to please loosen up, he orders a whiskey. We spend dinner talking and laughing, having a good time. I might live several hours away from Lexi and Georgia, but distance has never prevented us from remaining close. Two—maybe three—martinis later and we’re ready to get our dancing on.

After Ryan pays the bill, insisting if any of us tried it would chip away at his masculinity, we head over to Club LA. It’s a new club Lexi heard about and is dying to check out. When we arrive, there’s a line fifty people deep. I’m about to suggest we go somewhere else, when Ryan takes my hand and walks us to the front of the line. He shakes hands with the bouncer, quickly introducing us. Apparently he’s one of the guys who is stationed at the same base as Ryan.

“Damn, Ryan, your cool factor just got raised a couple notches,” Lexi yells over the music thumping through the speakers. “You’re the last person I expected to know anyone working at a club.”

“He’s in the military,” Ryan explains. “The guys who aren’t active duty have to work full-time jobs to make ends meet. The military doesn’t pay a whole lot.”

I consider asking him if he’s active duty, but push the thought aside. Being ignorant might not be the smartest decision, but it’s the less stressful option. Ryan only got home a couple weeks ago. We have plenty of time to deal with reality. For right now I just want to live in our little bubble. He’s home safe and in bed with me every night, and that’s all I care about right now.

We step up to the bar and Ryan raises his hand to get the bartender’s attention. She gives a small nod, indicating she saw him, and then walks over.

“What can I get you?”

“I’ll take a rum and Coke,” Lexi says. When Ryan’s friend let us in, he stamped all of our hands assuming we were as old as Ryan.

“I’ll have a lemon drop,” I tell her.

“Water,” Ryan says.

“No way,” I argue. “You promised you would let loose. He’ll have a whiskey neat,” I tell the bartender since that’s what he was drinking at the restaurant.

Georgia orders the same as me and then Lexi adds four double shots to the order.

“We’re going to be crawling out of here,” I warn.
