I grabbed her hand and kissed the tattoo on her wrist. We got matching ones after our wedding. Half of my fans thought it was stupid; they were crazy if they thought I’d ever separate from Scar. The other half thought it was romantic as shit.

I kissed her wrist. I had mine on the top part of my wrist and hers on the bottom. We had them on opposite hands, so when we held hands they made a circle. Some said it might be corny, but I didn’t give a fuck because Scarlett was at my games, in my jersey, in my bed, in my heart, and she was going to have my kid, so life was phenomenal.
“I love you.” I kissed her with my hand still on her belly.
“You’ve made me so happy, Gav. I no longer count the bad days between the good.” She cupped both my cheeks, smiling while she teared up. “Stupid hormones.”
I shook my head, smiling. Then I got up and removed my clothes while she devoured me with her eyes. Once I was naked, I crawled on the bed so I was on top of her.
“When things get hard, we take it three seconds at a time,” I told her while I looked into her eyes. Her love for me was right there, and she could see mine reflected.
“I love you, Scar,” I told her.
“I love you, Gav,” she whispered as I sank into her.
Scar and Gav may not have been perfect, but in the end, we were perfect for each
