Ember (Silver Skates #2)(14)
Author: Hanleigh Bradley

Taking me back into her hand, she hovers over me as she lowers herself onto my dick. I’m just about to lift my hips to meet her, when a woman with dark hair, blue eyes, and bright red lips drops down onto the ground next to us, looking from my face to Embers.

“You guys want some coffee? It might help your performance.”

I wonder how often she offers coffee to people when they’re in the middle of fucking because she doesn’t look at all perturbed by the fact that we’re both buck naked in the middle of the street. Dominick or Klaus would probably politely decline her offer, but not me.

“Piss off,” I grit out as Ember begins to bounce up and down on my cock. I could watch her do that all day. Her hands are on her tits, squeezing and teasing at them, completely oblivious to the woman who has just interrupted us.

“Well, that’s rude. Have fun. I’m Lys, by the way. Stop by Triple E any time for good coffee.”

I grunt out my response and what is supposed to be “I don’t give a shit about coffee” turns into “I don’t shit cof–”

“At least have some tea,” another woman says. A large woman, wearing a red crop top with spikes that match her hair, is sipping tea from a cup and saucer. “I can’t believe you’re turning down Triple E coffee.”

Flipping us over, I thrust into Ember. My arm is beneath her back because I don’t want her to land badly and scrape her back against the cobblestones. See, I can be a gentleman sometimes.

But I’m surprised when we land on rubbery plastic. Looking up for just a fraction of a second, I’m not impressed to realise that we’re at the fucking dentist’s office. The chair is reclined, and Ember lets out a little meow in complaint that I’ve stopped.

“I’ve got your mail for you,” says a petite woman in a traditional blue mail lady uniform, leaning toward me with envelopes in her outstretched hand.

My head flings up in shock. I thought we were completely alone. “What mail? Why would my mail come to my dentist?”

“Your name is Mr. Holden Sterling?”

Ember is growing impatient beneath me and I can’t say I blame her. What is with all the constant interruptions? She rolls her eyes, brandishing the letters at me, but I push them away.

“Never mind the mail. I’m a little busy right now.” I close my eyes, pretending that we’re alone as I kiss Ember again.

When I open them again, we’re surrounded by coffins. “What the fuck is going on?”

“What?” Ember moans. “What’s wrong now?”

“Have you seen where we are?”

“Can’t say I’ve noticed. No.” She looks around before shrugging her shoulders. “I’ve never had sex at a funeral parlor before. Kinky.”

She reaches for me again and I ignore my unease. After all, I’m not about to say no to sex. Especially sex with Ember. Her skin is hot beneath my touch as I allow my hands to explore every inch of her.

“Oh, Holden! I’m here for my protection money.”

“Fuck off!” I growl angrily at Enzo Rossi, the head of the Rossi mafia, who is now standing over us.

“You’ll pay for that. I’m doubling your fee!” Enzo storms out of the room and I let out a sigh of relief that we’re alone again, but the room begins to swirl and then we’re up a tree in the middle of the park. The bark is scratchy against my skin, but I don’t care.

With every second, I’m growing more and more frantic with need and I’m not about to let a little thing like being up a fucking tree, stop me now.

“Please!” Ember cries out, her legs tightening around my thighs, clearly completely oblivious to our current predicament. “Don’t stop.”

Her back arches and I have to hold her tightly to stop us both falling to our deaths. Her face is flushed as her body tightens. I quicken my pace, desperate to help her find her release. I keep my eyes open, focused on her.

“Holden.” The way she murmurs my name would be enough to make me come if I wasn’t so determined to bring her off first.

“You know you’re doing that wrong?” A voice calls up from below us.

I could throttle whoever said that. What exactly is the right way to fuck in a tree?

“I’m a sex therapist,” the voice below us is saying. “Maybe I should book you in for a session.”

Glowering down at the studious young woman below us, I let out a hiss. “PISS OFF!”

She pushes her glasses up her nose, apparently unrepentant for interrupting us. I try not to let the batty sex therapist’s words bother me. I’m a stellar fuck. Plenty of women have told me as much and I’d tell the therapist as much if Ember wasn’t here. Hearing about my past conquests will not help her find her release.

Just when I think we’re both about to come, we freefall from the tree.

Did You See A Ghost?

Ember’s POV

S weat lines my body as my legs thrash in the bed. My eyes open abruptly, my breath hurried and I look around to find myself in my own bed. I’ve spent the last two nights in fits of restlessness, getting barely any sleep at all.

But I’ve had the most vibrant of dreams.

They felt so real. Too real with Holden Sterling playing the part of my leading man. The amount of detail I can recall is uncanny. Usually, I barely even manage to remember that I’ve dreamed at all.

I guess it’s hard to forget having sex on the cobblestones of Main street. Or any of the other numerous places Holden has been fucking me in my dreams. Or the random people who keep interrupting us.

I’m not really sure why Holden is the one I’m dreaming about. I barely know the man. Not that dreams are supposed to make sense. Does there really need to be a rational reason why my subconscious enjoys fucking Holden Sterling?

Still, there’s something a little too real about the dreams. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think I had started dream walking but I’m far too young for that. Nowhere near that powerful.

Each night, I’ve been left with this horrible unsatisfied feeling. A desperate need to find him and fuck him in real life. But I’m not doing that. No matter how tempting an idea it is. For one thing, I wouldn’t even know where to look for him. For another, I’m supposed to be focusing on the championship.

Climbing out of my bed, I check the time. I should just go back to sleep. It’s far too early to get up, but I know I won’t be able to sleep even if I try. And the longer I lie here and think about Holden, the more chance there is that I’ll give into temptation.

I dress quickly in a pair of sweats and a t-shirt, before hurrying through to the bathroom to clean my teeth and wash my face. My cheeks are still flushed as I look at myself in the mirror, struggling to forget all the things that Holden did to me in my dream.

The keys to Kit’s dance studio are exactly where she usually leaves them. I leave Kit a note in case she wakes before I return. As much as she says I’m welcome to use the studio whenever I want, I don’t really want to take advantage of her generosity.

I walk the short distance to the studio and let myself in. The wooden floors are perfectly smooth on my feet as I take off my shoes to replace them with ballet shoes. My dad used to tell me that ballet—well, dance in general—would help me perform better on the ice.
