Stowing my practice kit, I grabbed a quick shower before hopping in the Humvee and heading back to Taylor’s headquarters, where Ava now worked. Once our illustrious leader had heard about her hacking skills, she’d been allocated to his small Shadow Squad and was happily wreaking havoc.

She’d needed a purpose that didn’t involve waiting in my apartment all day for me to come home and screw her brains out.

We still did the latter. Sleep was optional when you had an angel with a magic pussy in your bed. And I was still a territorial prick. I’d told every man and woman in her new team that I would toss them into the lawless outside if they so much as looked at her wrong.

They took me at my word.

The room quieted when I pushed open the door. Computer kits of every imaginable kind filled every available surface. Laptops and computers, whole and empty shells, and everything in between. High bench-tops littered with circuit boards and cables. It looked like chaos to me… according to Ava, this was a form of art.

Ava threw a look over her shoulder, eyes narrowing even as her lips tugged up. Apparently, I was intimidating.

“I’ll catch you tomorrow,” she said jumping down from the high stool. “Message me if you get it working.”

“Don’t message her if you get it working,” I corrected.

She glared at me as she approached. “Baby,” I whispered as she drew level with me. “Thirty seconds after you walk in the apartment door, my dick is going to be buried in your pussy, and the only thing you’ll be worried about is when I’m going to let you come.”

I saw her little involuntary shiver before she muttered without heat, “You are such a savage.”

Swinging the door open, I let her pass through first before cutting a look across the occupants of the room just in case any of them were confused about my order. The door closed shut, and we headed down the corridor toward the exit.

“I—um—asked my mother to come over tonight,” she said, face screwing up in a wince when I cursed. “I haven’t seen her in days!”

“You saw her two days ago,” I said, pushing through the exit door.

“Don’t be such a baby,” she said, smirking when she saw my glare. “I’ll make it up to you.”

My mind immediately conjured up an image of her on her knees, lips stretched around my cock. “Yeah?”

“Yes,” she agreed. At the Humvee, she stopped and turned to face me instead of getting in. “Thank you.” She leaned up on her tiptoes, hands finding the back of my head so she could pull me down for a kiss.

That little peck wasn’t going to cut it. I had her ass in my hands and her back against the side of the Humvee with her legs wrapped around my waist so I could seal our deal properly. “What time is she arriving?” I asked when I could drag my lips from hers.

“Seven,” she said, eyes glassy, lips swollen, cheeks flushed, and voice a little breathless. If I had my way, she’d spend the rest of her life looking like this.

Checking my watch, I grinned. “Plenty of time to work off some of that debt of gratitude,” I said. Dropping her back to the ground, I opened the door and all but threw her in.

One great thing about the post-apocalyptic world… the roads were quiet, and no one cared about what speed you were doing. I tossed her over my shoulder when we parked up at our apartment—she had called me a savage. She squealed and faked outrage the whole way to our apartment door. But once we were closed inside, she looked at me the way I looked at her. Love, hunger, and an unwavering determination that whatever happened next, we were in this together.

The End.

About the Author

I love a happy ever after, although sometimes the journey to get there can be rough on my poor characters.

An unashamed fan of the alpha, the antihero, and the throwback in all his guises and wherever he may lurk.

Prey: A Fantasy Reverse Harem

I am prey.

This is not pity talking, this is an acknowledgment of a fact.

I am small and weak; I am an Omega. I am a prize that men war over.

For a year I have hidden in the distant corner of the Empire.

But I am running out of food, and I am running out of options.

That I must leave soon is not a decision for today, though, but a decision for tomorrow.

Only tomorrow’s choices never come.

For tonight brings strangers who remind me that I am prey.

Omega Awakening: A dystopian Cinderella romance

(The Controllers Prequel)

A standalone novel with a HEA

All things must end.

I learned that lesson the day my mother died.

My stepmother was wicked.

My stepsister, cruel.

It was a relief when I revealed as an Omega because it was a chance to escape.

But it wasn’t the end of my troubles.

What happens to Omegas is a secret.

And my troubles had just begun.

“I can save you from one monster, Verity,” Lilly said when she accepted me into the program. “But I cannot save you from them all.”

True to her word, she saved me from my step-mother.

Then Woodrow entered my life.

And I realized he was the other monster Lilly had warned me about.

Bad Boss: A romantic comedy

A standalone novel with a HEA

Today is the first day of my first job.

I’m nervous, excited, and much too early.

Which is when I meet him for the very first time.

He’s a businessman with a ruthless reputation.

A billionaire and a playboy.

His company sponsored my scholarship.

And I’ve dreamed about him in the kind of detail you can’t even tell your best friend about.

That was before I thought we might meet.

There is something very cliche about accidentally throwing your drink over a god in human flesh. The throwing part is where the cliche ends for me.

He doesn’t look endeared by the incident, nor amused. He looks mad as freaking hell.

My brain freezes, mental capability flees, and I look away from his penetrating gaze,
