Allegiance (Nomad Biker Romance #3)(56)
Author: Chiah Wilder

Tank hissed when she put her hand on his dick and rubbed him through his jeans, loving how hard he was. He placed his hand over hers and pressed down while he moved his hips toward her.

“Fuck, baby,” he whispered against her lips. “I want to spread your legs apart and lick your sweetness.”

“And then?”

“Prop your legs on my shoulders and fuck you good and hard.”

“Too bad we’ll have to wait.” She pulled away and smiled.

Confusion spread over his features. “Why?”

“We’re going over to Raptor’s for his daughter’s graduation, remember?” Lena pulled down the visor and reapplied her gloss then finger-combed her hair.

Tank shook his head. “Fuck, I forgot. You make me all kinds of mixed up, woman.”

She laughed. “Did you remember to bring the card?”

“Yeah,” he said, settling back in the seat. “I just forgot about it while we were fooling around.”

“I love fooling around with you.” She ran her nails down his arm.

He winked. “Good to know.”

“How’s Nick doing?” She put on her sunglasses and pushed the visor up.

“Coming along. Raptor said it can take months or even years before his immune system fully recovers. Nick’s supposed to come back home next month.”

“I’m so happy Cassie was a match for her brother. What a wonderful gift to give him.”

“Yeah, she’s a special kid—always has been. She wants to be a doctor. Can you imagine that? Raptor’s beside himself.”

“I’m happy for them.” Lena looked at Tank as he drove, his biceps bulged each time he took a turn.

He glanced over at her then back at the road. “What’re you looking at?”

“You. You’re a very sexy man.”

Tank chuckled. “And you’re just noticing this now?”

“Hell no. I noticed it the first time I saw you.”

“You gave me a hard time.”

She stretched out her legs. “You deserved it.”

His soft laughter stroked over her like velvet heat. “I probably did.”

“Would you like to have kids?”

Tank slammed on the brakes, pitching her forward then back.

“Shit, Tank. Take it easy.”

“Are you pregnant?”

Shaking her head, she said, “No.”

“Then why are you asking me that when I’m driving? I almost ran a red light.”

“I was just wondering,” she said, shrugging. “But from your reaction, you’re obviously not into it.”

“No. I am. You just took me by surprise.”

“I don’t know … we’ve never talked about it, and I was curious.”

He looked over. “Do you want kids?”

“Yeah. I’d like to have a family someday.”

“And we will.” He turned the corner onto Raptor’s street. “So … since we’re talking about kids and shit, we need to get hitched. Whaddaya say?”

Taken by surprise, she said, “What? You’re proposing to me while driving?”

“Is it too romantic for you?” He deadpanned.

“You’re joking around, right?”

Scanning his face, the serious look on it told her he wasn’t. This is real. The man she loved had just asked her to marry him.

“Wow … I didn’t expect this.”

Tank parked in front of Raptor’s house, switched off the engine, and turned to her. “We love each other and enjoy being together, so why not get hitched.”

A nervous laugh slipped from her lips. “It would be more romantic if you say married.” She swatted his leg lightly.

Tank looked deeply into her eyes and took her hands in his. “I love you, Lena. You’re a part of me, and I want you to be in my life always. Will you marry me?”

Lena blinked rapidly, her heart beating a mile a minute. “Yes.” She swallowed past the lump in her throat. “I’ll marry you. I love you with all my heart and soul, sweetie.” Twining her arms around his neck, she peppered kisses over his face. “You are my today and my tomorrow, and I can’t imagine my life without you.”

The smile tugging the corners of his mouth broke out into a grin. “Fuck, darlin’, this kicks ass.”

Laughing, she met his lips and kissed him fervently, and he held her close.

“I’m so happy,” she murmured.

“Me too. But the one who’s gonna be fuckin’ over the moon is my mom. Tomorrow, I gotta get you a ring.”

“It’s usually done the other way around.” She laughed. “But then you’re not a conventional guy, and that’s one of many things I love about you.”

Tank kissed her gently. “We’re gonna have a great life. Let’s cut out early tonight and go for a long ride.”

“And make love under the stars?”

“You got it, darlin’. I have a blanket in the saddle bag so you won’t have any gum or sand mishaps.”

He held her tight and warmth spread through her. This is where I belong.

And for the first time since losing her parents, she’d found her home and it was safely in his arms.

Notes from Chiah

As always, I have a team behind me making sure I shine and continue on my writing journey. It is their support, encouragement, and dedication that pushes me further in my writing journey. And then, it is my wonderful readers who have supported me, laughed, cried, and understood how these outlaw men live and love in their dark and gritty world. Without you—the readers—an author’s words are just letters on a page. The emotions you take away from the words breathe life into the story.

Thank you to my amazing Personal Assistant Natalie Weston. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Your patience, calmness, and insights are always appreciated. Thank you for stepping in when I’m holed up tapping away on the computer, oblivious to the world. You make my writing journey that much smoother. Thank you for ALWAYS being there for me! I’m so lucky on my team!

Thank you to my editor Dana Hood, for all your insightful edits, comments, and suggestions that made this story a better one. You definitely made this book shine. As always, a HUGE thank you for your patience and flexibility.

Thank you to the bloggers for your support in reading my book, sharing it, reviewing it, and getting my name out there. I so appreciate all your efforts. You all are so invaluable. I hope you know that. Without you, the indie author would be lost.

Thank you ARC readers you have helped make all my books so much stronger. I appreciate the effort and time you put in to reading, reviewing, and getting the word out about the books. I don’t know what I’d do without you. I feel so lucky to have you behind me. And a big Thank You for your patience when I’m just on deadline.

Thank you to my Street Team. Thanks for your input, your support, and your hard work. I appreciate you more than you know. A HUGE hug to all of you! A big THANK YOU for pitching in there when some of the books are pretty close to the wire or at the wire. I am indebted to your patience and dedication.
