Lora smiled warmly at him, but she caught Tav casting her a lust-filled look out of the corner of her eye.
“I know what makes me tick,” Tav offered. His brothers groaned, but Lora laughed.
“You know,” she told Rhodes and Andreas, leaning forward as Tav’s hand snaked up her back. “There’s nothing wrong with finding your mate. A lot of people feel more balanced after such a discovery.”
Myself included.
Andreas whooped loudly, dubiously snorting thereafter.
“Yeah, no thanks,” he chuckled, turning his attention back to the television. “My life is just fine as it is. I don’t think I’d fare well with the same woman hanging around day in, day out.”
But Rhodes made no comment, his brow furrowing slightly as his green eyes regarded the pair as though he was thinking something.
“Will you help me with something upstairs?” Tav growled in her ear, forcing Lora’s eyes away from Rhodes’ curious expression. She cast her mate a sidelong look and swallowed a smile, knowing exactly what it was that he needed “help” with.
Tav rose from his spot and grabbed Lora’s hand, yanking her behind him.
“Have you no shame?” she giggled when they fell into their bedroom and closed the door behind them. “Your brothers are just downstairs.”
It wasn’t really a complaint. Lora was happy for this kind of distraction from her work.
“When it comes to you, absolutely not,” he replied quietly, crushing his lips to hers and dancing her back toward the bed. He pulled his face back and stared at her lovingly. “And I apologize to no one for it.”
Lora succumbed fully to Tav’s advances, knowing that she wanted him just as much as he wanted her.
