Set Up (Taking Chances Book 1)(31)
Author: TC Matson

I squeeze her breast, rolling her hard nipple between my finger, and it evokes a response from her body that is fucking erotic as hell. She arches into my hand. Her hips meeting my thrusts. The sounds she makes…I could come from them alone.

“Your pussy is pulsing,” I rasp. “I want you to come all over my cock.”

She sinks her teeth into her lip keeping her eyes closed.

I push up to my elbows to get a better look and torture us both with long strokes. My nuts begin to tighten, my pace picking up as I pound into her. Her skin flushes, a glistening of sweat beading her forehead when her body tenses and she begins to tremble as spasms crash into her.

“Ohhhhh,” she cries out, digging her nails so damn deeply in my skin it causes me to snap.

I slam into her watching the sight of her succumb to a beautiful orgasm.

“Yes, baby. Fuck,” I pant. “Oh, fuck yes.”

Flashes of lights flicker behind my eyelids. Bolts of lightning strike through my body. I shatter into my release mercilessly, cursing and stringing along a moan. I come so hard I feel like I’m going to black out.

Falling to my side, we lay motionless while we catch our breaths. Mindlessly, she runs her fingers up my arm as I rub her leg.

Then we’re interrupted by my phone vibrating. Sighing, I snatch it off the nightstand.

“Yeah?” I answer, trying to keep my breathing under control.

“Good morning, Bennett.” Jack, my general contractor for West Plaza booms into the phone. “We have a few problems.”

“That you had to bother me with at the ass crack of dawn? Last I checked you and Stephen were in charge,” I reply staring at her ceiling.

“You mean to tell me I’m out here busting my ass and you’re sipping your coffee?” he teases.

If he only knew what I was enjoying this morning. I get off the bed, push into my boxers and slacks, and then sit back down on the edge. “You called me this early to whine?”

His chuckle is hoarse from the years of smoking. “We’ve been keeping an eye on the weather. We’ve got a hell of a storm coming our way that’s expected to sit on us for a few days. Bad winds and rain. The city wants us to secure everything. Who knows how long it’ll push us off the project.”

“As long as the crew’s safe,” I reply.

I glance over my shoulder to Brooklyn. The covers are pulled over her chest as she’s leaned against her gray headboard watching me. Her hair is tumbling over her shoulder, her face glowing from being freshly fucked.

“Keep me informed if there is any delay,” I say.

“Will do,” he replies and then hangs up.

I toss the phone beside me, grasp her arm, and yank her into my lap. She lets out a quick yelp. Cradling her, I smile. “You’re beautiful.”

She giggles rolling her eyes. “I’m sure I look like shit.”

Kissing her on the forehead, I pull back to look her in the eyes. “I can bet there isn’t a day you could look like shit.”

“I—”

She’s interrupted by my phone. I groan, but don’t release her as I grab the call.

“Yeah?”

Her hair is spilling off my lap. She peers up to me with warm reverence and my heart tumbles in my chest.

“Good morning, Mr. Bennett,” Patricia sings into the phone. “Mr. Bryant just called and said he’s running early and would love to move the meeting up thirty minutes.”

I check my watch. I’ll be cutting it close. “Yeah,” I say lost in Brooklyn’s stare.

“Also, Mr. Belinski called again and asked to set up a meeting. He’ll be close to town next week. The only day you have open is Tuesday at three, unless you want to move your finance meeting on Monday to a later time in the afternoon.”

“Did he say what it’s concerning?”

Patricia has the soft giggle of a loving grandmother and I adore it when she does. “Do you think he told me anything? I don’t believe he likes to deal with me.”

“That’s because you’re a hardass, Patricia. My personal bodyguard,” I jest and she laughs. “I’ll call him when I get to the office.”

“One more thing. Cody said for you to call him.”

My brows pinch. “And he couldn’t call me?”

“The elevators, Nathan. You know how Cody strikes up conversations.”

“I’ll be in soon.”

After I hang up, I drop my view to the woman in my lap and frown. “I’ve got to go.”

She nods. “Busy man…” She moves off my legs, continuing to hold the sheet over her.

Shrugging back into my shirt and sliding into my shoes, I grab my jacket and tie, draping them over my arm. “I’ll call you later, okay?”

“Okay.” I kiss her again, wishing to fuck I had a toothbrush so I could devour her mouth one more time. “Have a good morning.”

I wink and leave.

* * *

I went home, showered, and changed before coming into the office and diving head first into the meeting with Mr. Bryant and his unstimulating sales pitch for becoming our sole electrical distributor. I don’t hear half the shit he says because my mind is still in the bed with Brooklyn. Her whimpers echo my thoughts, the way her eyes drown in an intimacy that threatens to capsize me.

After the meeting, all I can think about is how I want to spoil her as much as possible.

Me: Have you ever been to Florida?

Brooklyn: No. Why?

Me: Just wondering. Call me when you take lunch.

Brooklyn: Okay.

I call Patricia and ask her to step into my office. When she does, her smile lights up the room. Her grandchildren have the best grandmother…

“I need you to do me a favor. I need my schedule cleared out in three weeks. I’d like to leave town on Friday and come back late Monday. I’ll need the Crystal Blue’s penthouse during that time.”

She beams. “Will you be taking any guests?” she asks prying for information…innocently.

“One.” My response lights her up and I can’t fight my smile. “It’s a surprise,” I add.

“Is your guest able to get off work?”

Fuck… “I didn’t think about that.”

Her lips purse. “Not everyone is as lucky as you, sir. You’ll need to make sure she…your guest, is able to get off work. Maybe suggest a small get-together. She’ll…” she shakes her head. “Your guest can ask off and hopefully be able to join you.”

“Good idea, Patricia.”

Proudly, she tilts her head. “Thank you. I’ll get on it.”

Me: See if you can get off three weekends from now. I’ve been invited to a small get-together and I’d like for you to join me.

Brooklyn: Saturday?

Me: It’s Friday, but I’d like to have you all to myself until Monday.

Brooklyn: I’ll try and let you know.

TWENTY-FOUR

The past three days have been brutal without seeing Brooklyn. I’ve talked to her daily and nightly and texted her way too many times like a lovesick boy. Between my late evenings and her girls’ night, I’m going insane to see her. I called her on her lunch break and invited her over for dinner, but because tonight is one of her late nights, she’s not able to make it. However, she did say she’d come by after for a few hours.
