After Heather and the baby have disappeared with Alic, the man who kidnapped me comes back into the room. I think about trying to overpower the son of a bitch, but if I'm unsuccessful, he will immediately report what happened to Alic. That would not be good right now. I need to think things through and come up with a strategy.
"Will you come along nicely or do I have to tie you up again?" My kidnapper asks.
I get up from the sofa and saunter towards him.
"I won't hurt you. Don't worry," I promise, my voice dripping with irony.
The masked man reaches for the hood, which lies by the entrance.
"I said I won't try anything. You don't have to put that thing back on me."
"Yes, baby, I do. I don't want you to see where we are."
"Like I couldn't figure that out."
"Yes, but by then, Alic and his family will be safe on the plane."
"Hmph."
"So? Will you submit like a good girl or do I have to use a little force?"
His tone makes it clear how much he would enjoy forcing me. I will not give that asshole a chance.
"Fine!" I finally snort. "But if you try anything, I'll..."
"Yes, yes!" The masked man says, annoyed. "I know. You're gonna cut my balls off. – Am I right?"
"Absolutely," I answer, sweet as sugar.
With a laugh, the bastard lifts the hood and puts it over my head. Then he lifts me into his arms.
"I can walk. Put me down."
"Oh, no. We don't want to risk you tripping and bumping your pretty head. Heather would never forgive me if anything happened to her sister while I was responsible for her."
"If you stumble, we're both fucked," I growl.
The son of a bitch laughs and continues walking. I try to ignore how good he smells and how good his hard body feels.
Damn it! Get a hold of yourself!
After what seems like an eternity, my kidnapper puts me down. Apparently we've reached the car. I hear a car door open, and then he picks me up again and puts me in the seat. He straps me in and closes the door.
When we stop an estimated hour later, the masked man gets out and a little later opens my door. He unbuckles me and lifts me out of the car. He carries me for a short distance and drops me off. My back is pressed against something that feels like a tree. When I feel him loop ropes around my upper body, I kick and struggle, cursing, but I can't see him and I can't get a kick in.
"You bastard!" I yell at him.
The ropes immobilize my arms. Warm breath tickles my neck and goose bumps run down my body.
"Sorry, baby," my kidnapper whispered. "But I need a little head start without you seeing me or the car. The ropes aren't tight. And I'll stick a knife in your pocket. You'll be free in minutes."
"Asshole!"
He laughs, and I feel him tampering with my trouser pocket, when he apparently pushes the promised knife into it.
Again, his breath tickles my skin as he lifts the hood a little before he presses a kiss on my lips. It is only a short kiss, but it makes my heart beat wildly in my chest, and I feel a tingling in my belly that is not caused by fear.
"Don't do anything stupid, baby," he whispers in my ear. "If you try to chase Alic, I'll come after you. And I would sooo enjoy punishing you."
With these words, he suddenly disappears. I immediately set out to free myself. As he said, the ropes are not too tight, and with the help of the knife, I free myself a few minutes later. With a curse, I rip the damn hood off my head and look around. Of course, there is nothing more to see of my kidnapper far and wide.
"Just you wait, you bastard. I'll get you too, and God have mercy on you when I do!"
