Disrupt (Iron Heretics MC #1)(15)
Author: Michelle Frost

Leith set his tray on the bar and lifted a hand to fan himself. “Jesus, I’m surprised that stare didn’t set him on fire. Guess I'll have to turn my sites elsewhere."

I made a dramatic sweep of my hand, encompassing the whole of the club. "I can't imagine where you’d find an eligible gay man."

Leith smirked. "This is true."

The bartender working on drinks for servers set several down at the same time with the ticket sitting beside them and shot us a wink before getting back to work.

"That's me," Leith said, loading up his tray with the drinks.

When he looked back at me, he seemed almost shy. "It was good chatting with you, Pax."

"You too, Leith."

He walked away, leaving me by myself at the end of the bar. I let my gaze wander around and my eyes landed on Vivian in her preferred booth. She had a smile on her face and raised her glass in my direction as if to salute me. I assumed for talking with Leith. I knew he'd been having a hard time fitting in, even though he mostly brought it on himself, but I was one of the employees who had been here the longest, and it should have been my duty all along to help him get settled.

I'd be sure to pay more attention to that in the future. I moved my eyes from Vivian over to Mace to find him looking back at me for just a moment. It was hard to see his expression, but I could have sworn he shot me a wink before his eyes started scanning the crowd again. I smiled to myself and loaded up the drinks the bartender brought me.

The rest of my shift went by smoothly. Just after two a.m. when I was done for the night, I took my sweaty, tired self down to the tunnel that led to my apartment building, which most of us lovingly called Spritz Villa. I hadn't seen Mace since earlier and figured he had club business to deal with tonight. When I opened the door to the building, I found an equally tired looking Mace leaning against the wall beside the elevators and looking straight at me.

"I thought you were already gone for the night," I said, making my way over to him. He reached down and pressed the up button for the elevator and then opened his arms for me.

Without hesitation, I walked into them, wrapping my arms around his waist and tilting my chin up until he smiled and pressed his lips to mine.

"Is it okay that I waited for you? I was going to head back to the clubhouse and get some sleep, but I thought maybe I’d stay with you instead."

It was more than okay with me, and I tried to show him that, raising up on my toes and pressing my mouth to his again while I slid my arms up from his sides and over his shoulders, pulling him closer, and getting one hand tangled in the loose strands of his hair.

He groaned against me, opening his mouth, thrusting his tongue against mine. We kissed like that until the elevator door slid open. Mace pulled back and chuckled when I tried to chase him. He took my hand, leading me into the elevator and hitting the button for my floor.

We stood against the back wall as the elevator climbed, his arm around my shoulders. "You sure you don't mind me inviting myself to stay?"

"I don't mind at all. Honestly."

When the elevator opened, we made our way to my door. Mace had been over several times since we started seeing each other, but I always thought about that first time when he'd shown up as bruised and beaten up as I was, and even with his own injuries, had insisted on taking care of me. I unlocked my apartment, letting us inside, thankful for the rush of cool air from the air conditioner. I turned to ask Mace if he wanted something to eat, only for him to seal his lips over mine again. His strong calloused hands slipped around me and slid down my back to my ass, gripping tight and pulling our groins together.

He ground against me, the hard length of him making it obvious that food was the last thing on his mind. We pulled back with a gasp, and he pressed a quick succession of chaste kisses against my still open mouth.

"How about a shower? Then food."

I didn't have enough brain cells working to speak after his absolutely drugging kisses, so I simply nodded and led us to the bathroom. It was as tiny and cramped as it always was, but Mace didn't seem to mind. He stripped me first, and then himself, before getting the hot water going and herding me into the shower.

"You're on a mission tonight." I laughed as the warm spray hammered my back.

“Maybe I missed you.” As soon as he said it, those green eyes I was so fond of bounced around the small space before landing on the showerhead. It was detachable, and Mace pulled it down, then gripped my chin to tilt my head back so he could rinse my hair. After it was soaked and slicked back from my face, he rinsed his own before finally bringing his eyes back to mine. "Besides, is it so wrong for a man to know exactly what he wants?" He arched a dark eyebrow at me and reached over my shoulder to replace the shower head and grab the shampoo bottle.

I pulled the bottle from his hands, squirted a generous dollop into my palm before setting the bottle back on the shelf and rubbing my hands together. I slid my hands into Mace’s hair, letting my fingers swirl and rub at his scalp. He groaned, letting his head fall forward. We were so cramped together in my tiny shower that the action made our foreheads touch. Leaning in, I took his mouth in a quick kiss, then used my grip on his hair to pull his head back so the soap wouldn’t run into his eyes. "There's nothing wrong with it.” I shrugged. “I guess it still catches me by surprise sometimes that it's me you seem to want."

Opening his eyes, Mace pulled the shampoo bottle down again and washed my hair the same way I’d washed his. We didn’t speak while we rinsed our hair and started soaping the rest of ourselves. I’d turned to replace the showerhead once we were cleaned and rinsed, my back to Mace’s chest before he spoke again.

"I don't know why it surprises you," Mace said quietly, his hands gliding over the slick skin of my stomach as he wrapped his arms around me. "Since I laid eyes on you the first time, I haven't wanted anyone else."

It felt like my heart floated up with the steam lingering above our heads, and I wasn't sure that my tiny shower could contain all the emotions that were rampaging through me like they could burst forth at any second. "I want you too."

Mace kissed my neck and reached out to turn off the water while his other hand slid down, making my breath catch a second before he wrapped his fingers around the hard length of me. His breath was hot on my ear. “You want to make me yours tonight? Fuck me with this beautiful cock?”

He turned me around so I was facing him and smiled, a honey-sweet stretch of his lips, like he could tell he’d just short-circuited my brain.

“Fuck, yes,” I breathed, getting my hands on him and slamming my mouth over his.

We haphazardly dried each other. Mace took the towel from my hands and lifted his arms, rubbing it vigorously over his longer hair. I put his distraction to good use and latched onto his nipple, just beneath the running wolf tattoo, and sucked hard.

He stumbled back, his shoulders hitting the wall and a groan escaping him. “Jesus fuck, Pax!”

I smiled around my mouthful, lapping at his hardened nub with my tongue and running my fingers over the cut furrows of his abs until I got to what I really wanted. Gripping his cock, I stroked him slow, thumbing his slit, then sliding lower to cup his balls and run my fingers over his taint.
