Moon Kissed (The Marked Wolf Series Book 1)(49)
Author: Jen L. Grey

The musky scent of my arousal mixed with his, making me lightheaded. I wanted him so damn much.

He groaned. “We have to stop.”

“No.” My lips landed back on his, and he responded to my kiss again.

I went to tug his shirt over his head, but he caught my hand. “Are you sure you’re ready?” He leaned back, and his eyes were glowing brightly, his wolf right at the front.

“Yes. It’s stupid that we’ve waited this long.”

“You deserve for it to be perfect.” He pressed his lips to mine softly once more.

“This is perfect.” I yanked on his shirt, angry that it was still a barrier between us. “I’m tired of waiting. I want you. Nothing will ever change that. You’re it for me. I knew it four years ago, so please stop fighting this.”

“Thank God. I don’t want you hurting your arm any more than it already is. Let me take care of these.” He removed his shirt, and his hands went to the bottom of mine, pulling it off slowly.

He threw our shirts on the ground as his lips went straight to my neck. He kissed me all the way down. He caressed my breast, but my black bra prevented him from touching my skin. I whimpered in protest.

“Patience.” He chuckled as his lips went down my chest, and his hands slid around my back to unfasten my bra. He pulled away, slipping the straps over my shoulders.

His lips crashed against mine as his hand cupped my breast, and I ground against him, again enjoying the feeling of him teasing me.

He pulled his lips away and took my nipple into his mouth.

Heat flooded my body as his tongue made me feel things I’d never experienced before. “God, please.” I needed him. My wolf surged forward. She’d been wanting this for way too long, and she was desperate for the bond to be completed.

I stood and slowly removed my pants and panties. Aidan did the same. He was gorgeous sitting there on the bed, waiting for me.

My eyes devoured all of him, and soon, I was sliding back onto his lap.

His fingers dug into my waist as he slid us to the headboard of the bed. He stared straight into my eyes. “I love you. But let’s take it slow. I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I love you too.” As the words had left my lips, I guided him inside me.

And as he filled me, emotions collided inside my heart and my mind. I began moving as his lips lowered to my neck once more. His teeth grazed my skin, and I whimpered with need. I wanted him to claim me.

That must have been what he’d needed because he bit into me, merging his wolf with mine.

When he pulled away, I didn’t break the rhythm of our connection and placed my lips on his neck. Unlike him, I bit into his neck immediately, and blood filled my mouth.

Holy shit. His words filled my head. You are amazing.

I’m so glad you’re mine now. I increased our pace, and he followed my lead.

In minutes, our emotions tangled, and we were both about to climax. I claimed his lips once more and linked to him. I love you.

Our bodies shook together as our bond completed.

I love you too, he whispered in my mind.

Once we’d stilled, something clicked into place between us, solidifying everything. The dark void inside me began to pulse. It pulsed so hard it felt like the house was shaking.

“Earthquake,” Aidan said as he rolled me off him and onto the bed.

The walls shook, and glass broke somewhere downstairs. I jumped to my feet, grabbed my clothes from the ground, and slowly dressed as I tried to keep my balance.

“We need to get outside,” Aidan shouted. He threw his clothes on and helped me get dressed quicker. “The upstairs could collapse.”

We ran out of the room and to the stairs. I wasn’t sure how it was possible, but the ground began shaking even harder.

I scanned the living room as we rushed to the door. It shocked me that even though the ground was jarring violently, nothing had broken except for a vase, which had fallen off a table. It was as if the house was protected from falling apart.

We made it outside, and Beatrice and Amethyst met us in the yard.

They both focused on me, and then the ground began to still.

“What the hell was that?” Aidan shook his head as he surveyed the surrounding area. “Earthquakes aren’t even common here.”

“She caused it.” Beatrice pointed to me. “Her magic has been awakened.”

“What?” The cold void in me was now warm, but it still felt trapped somehow.

Her eyes landed on me. “Do you feel different?”

“Well, yeah. But it’s still like my magic is enchained.” It was odd, but I instinctively knew that.

“It’s because it’s time for you to find the others.” Beatrice touched my shoulder. “You’ve awakened all of your magic. The earthquake was felt across the country, and now the other girls will have a mark too.”

“Wait. What?” None of this was making sense. “I thought I was the only one.”

“No, there is more than one. A star has five points and can’t be alone. You were the key to unlocking the prophecy.” She glanced at Amethyst and grinned. “Now you must find the other women like you and create the council that will lead over all.”

“Okay.” All of my doubts were gone. I immediately knew that the void had been my witch magic. Now I had to follow this through. The Hallowed Guild needed to be stopped, and I would be the one to do it.

Chosen Wolf - Chapter One

Emma

Dealing with dead bodies at five a.m. wasn’t my ideal start to a good day. The sky was still dark, and none of us had gotten any sleep since the wolf attack and the earthquake I’d caused.

I could’ve stayed back to help the witches pack all the houses and load the cars, but this was where I needed to be. After all, this was all my fault. If I hadn’t come here, the coven would still be thriving—not rushing to leave before a secret society arrived to kill us all. Ten witches and twenty wolves were dead because of me. I couldn’t let any more people die.

The thick metallic scent of blood hung in the air, and flies buzzed around the bodies. I regretted my decision to help bury the dead, but damn, how could I be a good leader if I didn’t take on the hard jobs?

The irony was that the wolves expected me to ruin them, and the witches expected me to save them.

Me.

I was supposed to be the witches’ hero, their redeemer, but I was clueless, which was far more dangerous.

I’d only survived this long because of my mate, whose pack was part of the secret society, and my four new witch friends: Samuel, Amethyst, Coral, and Finn. Without them, I’d be rotting in the ground.

Holding my breath, I grabbed the dead man’s arms and dragged him across the grass toward the woods. My arms screamed because the guy had at least two hundred pounds on me. The Jones pack had sent their strongest and most skilled shifters to kill me. I wondered if my ex-boyfriend and the pack’s alpha heir, Jacob Rogers, even knew who his roommate really was. Prescott Jones was part of a secret society seeking the wolf marked by the witches who so happened to be me.
