Devil's Ride : A Dark MC Boxset(35)
Author: E.C. Land

“How would we do that?” Bear asks.

“By calling a meet with Torben. Hand his Sergeant at Arms back to him, headless and all,” I state, shrugging my shoulders.

“That would start a war,” Blaze says.

“They started a war with us long before now,” I declare before relaying all that Rachel told me Raynor had admitted. When I finish telling them, I look at my VP. “How much do you wanna bet Hogg’s death was tied into this fucked up bullshit?”

Furrowing his brows, Tracker leans forward as he contemplates what I’ve said. “The timelines add up. Rachel got with Lucien the summer after sophomore year and Hogg died mid-summer in an accident. The cops didn’t let us get his bike back until months after and it’d been trashed,” he sneers.

Everyone nods in agreement.

“Does anyone have a problem with calling a meet?” I ask.

At my brothers’ silence, I nod my head. “I’ll give Torben a call. Now, where are we on the shipment details with Grigory?”

Church is filled with tension but still flows with ease as everyone gives their input on all we have going on and planning who will go on the next run we handle. With the Franklin Charter handling the docks and bringing it to us, we take the shipment from there and move it to Tennessee to Blow’s Charter in Bulls Gap.

By the time we’re done, Corinne is just waking up, ready to eat. Dismissing my brothers, I stand from my seat and head for the door. This is something I could get used to.

Chapter Twenty-Six

Rachel

A week after my diabetic episode, Stoney is still watching me like a hawk. Not only did he make sure I got to the doctor to make sure I had everything I need, he went to the store to pick out one of the best monitors you can get. I know it was stupid of me not to tell Stoney about my diabetes, but it was even dumber to have left my stuff behind at my old house both times I left. I mean, both times my mind wasn’t in the right place, but still, I need to do better for Luca and Corinne.

Besides Stoney keeping a close eye on me, the members of the club have been looking at me differently than when I first got here. They’d gone from being polite and somewhat respectful at a distance to overly attentive toward me. It’s as if a switch was flipped and all of them changed their view of me. Shadow even joked about me hitting Tracker’s bike. I’m lucky my cousin didn’t flip his shit about the damage I’d done.

Where the guys changed their tune with me, the clubwhores’ demeanors changed for the worse. They might not have done anything in front of the guys, but Peaches and Cherry Pie especially kept trying to taunt me. Cherry Pie continuously brought up the fact she was Stoney’s go-to when he needed to get off, and I shouldn’t get used to being in his bed. Peaches, on the other hand, seems to just be following Cherryzilla’s lead in tormenting me.

I’m sure Stoney would want to know what these women are doing when none of the men are looking. Then again, he has enough on his plate and doesn’t need to be bombarded with petty bitches. He’s supposed to be leaving later today on a run and won’t be back for a few days. I’m trying not to let images of him with another woman into my head, which is a feat in itself. I don’t need to let those clubwhores’ voices get to me, too.

The only one of those women who hasn’t given me any trouble is Tiny. Then again, I’ve never seen any of the guys mess with her. Normally, she’s behind the bar working or in the kitchen helping Momma B. Tiny even offers to help with the twins if I need it.

Today is one of those days that I took up her offer. I wanted some time alone with Stoney, and since he’s been cooped up in his office since we got here this morning, I’ll have to go to him.

Making it to the office door, I knock but no one answers. Furrowing my brow, I start to leave but stop as giggles and moans come from the other side of the door.

What the hell?

Cracking the door open, I spot Stoney sitting behind his desk, leaning back in his chair. He hasn’t glanced at the door, rather his attention is directed toward the couch I sat on multiple times. Opening the door further, I feel my blood freeze in my veins at the sight of Cherry Pie and Peaches laying across the very same couch, lip locked and fingers in each other’s pussies.

I have to cover my mouth to keep from being heard. Stoney has yet to realize I’m here as he continues to watch the women. Is this what I’m supposed to expect from being with him? If so, then I’m fuckin’ out of here.

“Since you seem to be enjoying the show so much, might as well join them.” I snap, catching the whores’ triumphant smiles before slamming the door behind me.

Stoney’s voice comes from the other side of the door as I rush away from that room and him. I’m not about to be in another relationship where I’m made a fool of. I should have known he didn’t mean a word he said.

“Rachel,” I hear him yell as I run down the hall to the spare room that Stoney had turned into a room just for Luca and Corinne. At night, they still slept in his room, but during the day they napped in this room.

Closing the door behind me, I lock it, then move to grab a chair and press it under the doorknob, securing him from opening it. At this point, the only way to open it is to break the door down.

“What’s going on?” Tiny asks quietly.

“Nothing to worry about,” I say just as Stoney pounds his fist on the door.

“Open this fuckin’ door, Rachel,” he growls.

“Go to hell, asshole,” I snap.

“You need to open this door so I can fuckin’ talk to you.” The door handle jiggles but thankfully it doesn’t budge.

“No, I’m not opening this door, so you might as well go back to your whores and let them take care of your dick. You definitely are not getting anything from me,” I yell.

“Swear to fuckin’ God, woman, if you don’t open this door, I’m going to break it down,” he retorts.

“You wouldn’t do that,” I say, clenching my fists at my sides. I’d love nothing more than to open that door and punch him in the face.

“What the fuck is goin’ on here?” Tracker asks from the other side of the door.

“It’s between Rachel and I,” Stoney declares.

“I don’t give a flyin’ fuck if it’s between you two or not. The twins are in there with her along with Tiny. Luca and Corinne might be babies, but they don’t need to hear y’all fighting,” Tracker says rationally. “Take some time, calm down, then you two talk.”

“Tracker, this is none of your business,” Stoney growls.

“Maybe not, but that’s still my cousin,” Tracker says calmly.

I want to jump for joy that he's intervening, but at the same time my heart is breaking as the visual of Stoney watching Peaches and Cherry Pie is still way too fresh in my mind. Why would he just sit there and watch them? Is that something he’d want from me? Because I don’t think I’d be able to ever share him. He means too much to me to allow another woman to touch him the way I do.

“Think about this, Prez.” Shadow’s voice comes through the door this time.

“Fuck,” Stoney growls and a thud can be heard through the door.
