Devil's Ride : A Dark MC Boxset(48)

I needed to get away.

That’s why I’d packed a bag with the bare minimum items. I didn’t need anything really but a few changes of clothes, a stash of money I kept hidden away, and the little box my grandmother gave me. It contained pictures of her and I along with the pearls she’d given me before she passed.

Tonight, I made my move. I waited for my parents to go to bed. By the time the clock struck three a.m., I decided to say screw it and take my chances.

Slinking out the door to my room with my backpack on, I stuck to the shadows of the hallway and quietly made my way to my exit. The closer I got, I heard moans and groans.

Gross.

I might be a virgin, but I’m not naïve. I know what those sounds are. I shudder at the thought of my parents having sex. How two people who are as poisonous as them could have sex with each other is beyond me. My grandmother told me when I become intimate with someone, it should be with love and nothing else.

I made it to the door just as my mother’s screams met my ears. I stilled as she called my soon-to-be-husband’s name instead of my father’s. Two different grunts can be heard as she goes silent.

Oh God, nausea churns my stomach. This is the life my parents want for me— one filled with deceit and despair.

Yeah, no, I’m good.

“Parker, it will be nice to have you around more,” my mother purrs as I open the front door enough to fit through. I don’t want to hear any more of this.

“That it will. I’ll be more than happy to oblige you once your daughter is mine.” Parker’s chuckles send a horrifying chill down my spine.

Not going to happen, buddy.

I refuse to be with him.

I hold my breath as I pull the door closed behind me, hoping to God they don’t hear the click of the door. I don’t need them to catch me now. I’m too close to being home free of this insanity. Who wants to live like this?

Not me, that’s for sure.

I want my freedom to do as I please. To love who I want. Be who I want and never have to worry what I am to those around me.

Making my way down the road, I get far enough away from the house and use my phone one last time to call the only friend I’ve ever known.

Raven.

Thankfully, she knew I would be calling.

“I see you. Just keep coming a little further and you’ll see the car. Hurry up, though, we don’t know how long it will take them to realize you're gone,” she says before hanging up.

Nodding to myself, I pull the phone from my ear and throw it to the side. I won’t be needing that one anymore. Raven has my new one.

Soon as I get to Raven’s car, she starts the engine.

“Come on, babe, we gotta get some road between us and them,” she states as I open the door, throw my stuff in the back, and climb in.

“Yeah, I know we do,” I mutter as I fasten my seat belt.

Raven wasted no time in getting us out of there either. Within thirty minutes, she’s pulling onto I-20 heading east.

“Where are we headed?” I ask nervously. We’d never discussed where we’d go from here.

“Heading to Stonewall Mills, Virginia,” she murmurs.

Stonewall Mills, interesting name.

Now, let’s just hope my parents nor Parker ever find me there.

Present Day

Could today be any more fucked up? Between all the bullshit lately with having to deal with my cousin’s problems and club business, I need a night off.

A night where I can take two or three bitches to one of the back rooms at Dolly’s Playhouse to fuck sounds fan-fuckin-tastic. I mean what better way to spend my time while having to babysit the new club manager.

Amethyst.

Sure, I know I technically don’t have to babysit her, but that’s not going to stop until I find out who the fuck she is. Why the club had to vote the stuck-up bitch into the position, I’ll never fuckin’ understand. Amethyst may have proven to be damn good at the job, but I don’t trust her.

Every one of the employees who work for us go through an extensive background check and something about Amethyst’s has never rubbed me in the right way. Everyone says I’m just pissed with her because she refused to give me a lap dance. I’ll admit it did piss me off, but the bitch has never given any motherfucker a private dance. Because of this, she became our most popular dancer.

Making my way into Dolly’s, I signal the bartender for the night, Gia, to grab my usual drink as I head for my usual table.

With it being a Friday night, the place is packed to capacity. Dixie sets my glass of Patrón in front of me before straddling my lap.

“Hey, baby, I’ve missed you,” Dixie purrs, wrapping her arms around my neck as she rubs her pussy against my cock, causing him to twitch.

Dixie and Gia are two of the bitches I seem to use a lot here recently. I know my reasons for it may be fucked up, but these two despise Amethyst as much as I hate the ice princess.

I might not have hated her so much if it wasn’t for the fact I knew she was hiding shit about her past. No one has a record as clean as hers. Especially no one who’s a stripper. One day, I’ll find out the truth about her even if I gotta hold her down to get it.

“I bet you have,” I smirk as I pat her ass. “I’m sure you’ve had plenty of company though.”

“No one is as good as you,” she pouts.

“I’m sure that’s not true,” I chuckle.

“It’s true. Gia and I both hate it when you’re gone for so long,” she murmurs, leaning forward to press her lips to mine.

Opening my mouth, I allow her to swipe her tongue in before I take control and devour her mouth while holding her head in place with one hand. I use my other hand to hold her while she grinds against my jean clad cock.

“Fuck, babe, you must really be wantin’ this cock inside you,” I chuckle as I break the kiss.

“Oh yes, I want to have you fuck me while I eat Gia’s pussy,” she giggles.

I’m about to say hell fuckin’ yes when the DJ starts playin’ a song he hadn’t played in a long damn time.

Amethyst’s dancing music.

Fuck me. Turning my attention to the stage, I watch as the ice princess herself steps into view.

“Ugh, that bitch is an attention whore,” Dixie hisses as she tries to pull my attention back to her.

“What is she doing on stage?” I ask no one in particular as I keep my gaze focused on Amethyst.

The way her body sways to the music is something akin to magical. Her hands in her hair pushing it upwards as she lifts her arms in the air. Damn if seeing her up there doesn’t turn me the fuck on just as much as it pisses me the hell off.

Amethyst is supposed to be managing the bar, not dancin’ and showin’ her tits to everyone. Or those bow tattoos on her tits that match the art work on her left arm moving to cover her upper back.

What the fuck is wrong with me?

“She caught Lena and Darcy in the bathroom blowing some drug dealer,” Dixie mutters, turning her attention back to me. “Can you believe she couldn’t wait to jump back on that stage?”

“Why do you say that?” I ask while I let the information Dixie just gave me sink in. Why hadn’t she called the club to say something?
