Devil's Ride : A Dark MC Boxset(89)
Author: E.C. Land

As members of the Inferno’s Clutch MC they are going to go berserk over this.

Fury, my papa, he’s one of the founding members of the club and is the best father a girl could ask for. He made sure to teach me to defend myself at an early age. He’s also the same man who brought me ice cream after sending my brother to beat up the boy who broke up with me the first time. At the time I’d been embarrassed but at the end of the day he’d been defending my heart like any dad would do.

Pitch Black, who everyone calls Pit, is the Enforcer of the club and one of the only people on this earth I wouldn’t want to ever cross. They don’t call him Pitch Black for nothing. He’ll come at you in the dark and you won’t see him coming. Being the big brother that he is, he’d feel the need to test anyone who wanted to be with me.

“You gonna lay on me all day?” Blaze asks chuckling while he runs a hand along my spine.

“Hmm, I might, long as you don’t talk,” I mumble, snuggling even deeper into him.

“Birdy, hate to break it to ya but I’m gonna talk. Ain’t gonna stop. Cause that means you won’t be talking to me.” I have to roll my eyes at his jokes. Isn’t he just full of himself this morning?

I’ve never seen this side of Blaze before. Normally he’s the broody, serious, glowering asshole. Even after he’d fucked my brains out that first time, he’d shown no emotions. Honestly, I think the only time I’ve ever seen a hint of emotion in him was when Tracker was in the hospital. Sadness seemed to swirl around him as he took the lead and got a handle on things until Stoney could get there.

Lifting my head up off his chest, I meet his gaze. “You may be full of jokes this morning but you're going to regret this, us, me,” I say sternly.

Blaze’s brow furrows and his eyes narrow as he flips us until I’m beneath him again. “Let’s get one thing straight right now Raven. I don’t do a damn thing I don’t want to. I’ve already been burned by the fires of betrayal once. I knew what the fuck I was doing putting my ring on your finger. Understand me when I say this because I won’t repeat myself. I wanted you to be mine, so I made it happen.”

Sucking in a deep breath, I can feel his emotions surrounding me suffocating the air in the room with it. Pain mixed with lust, and what I want to guess would be love. That can’t be though. I mean seriously he doesn’t know me.

Not the real me.

Only one person truly knows everything about me. Same goes for her. Vicky and I have been best friends since we were in school together. My parents made it possible for me to go to the same school as her, so she’d have someone close to her real family near her. The two of us have always been glued to each other. Never going anywhere without the other.

When we both turned eighteen, we’d headed up here to be with my cousin Harlow. She’d just graduated nursing school and started working at the hospital here in the NICU. Papa had transferred money into my cousin's account to get Vicky and I set up with a place to live. He knew I needed to get her out of Louisiana and away from those sick parents of hers. Along with Parker the man she was supposed to marry.

Sick part is, he was her uncle. Granted it was by name only. All the same the dickhead was fuckin’ his own sister.

Nope don’t think about those sick people not when this gorgeous man is hovering over you.

“If you wanted it to happen then why treat me the way you have been for months now. Better yet why didn’t you just ask me out like a normal person would,” I state, sarcastically.

“Birdy neither of us are normal. Nor will we ever be. Why do something the way the average Joe would when we can follow our own path. As for the way I’ve treated you, I decided I was done watching you try to make me jealous with all the fuckers trying to get in your pants. No one gets in here but me,” He says. With the last sentence Blaze glides his dick against my core.

Damn that feels good.

“Maybe I want normal,” I moan at the sensations running through me.

“You don’t want normal Raven. You’d be bored and become reckless. If that happens then you’d become careless. That’s something you don’t need. You might not realize it baby, but I know you better than you think I do. Now that I know you’re the Dark Spirit, there’s nothing I don’t know about you. Your parents can be very chatty when they want to be. Oh, and I got the approval from your dad before I married you last night.”

My mind is reeling from Blaze's confession. He . . . He . . . Oh God my papa’s permission. My papa knows about this.

What the fuckin’ hell is going on here?

Chapter Four

Blaze

Seeing the conflict in Raven’s eyes was killing me. I knew she didn’t know I’d been keeping in contact with her folks. Her mother threatened to castrate her son and ol’ man if they interfered. I’d heard her say it too.

“Don’t you dare stand in the way of what must be. I will castrate you both if you don’t let Blaze be with our girl. You both need to let her grow up because if you don’t leave her in Blaze’s hands, Raven’s path will shift. She will no longer be our daughter. Fate has been set. Blaze is the only one who will hold her when she goes to fly,” Ela said one night when she’d called me on FaceTime.

Neither Fury nor Pit had said a word against her wishes. That was all the proof I really needed to know; it was okay to go after what I wanted.

Before Raven has a chance to respond, I lean down and capture her lips with my own as I sink into her. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her with me, including knocking her up. Stupid I’m sure, but I’m not about to lose this woman. Not when I finally have some light back in my life.

Does that mean I’ll forget the past? Fuck no. Rissa was a hard pill to swallow and I’m not about to let another woman do what she did. Nor will I forget my beautiful daughter I’d buried in a cemetery on the other side of town away from the bitch who killed her. I still visit the grave sometimes but not as often lately.

Breaking the kiss, I lift my head enough to look down at Raven, my wife, the woman who I can never get enough of. I hold her gaze as I fuck her with enough force that we’re panting for breath by the time we both come together.

When I pull out of her this time, I slide off the bed bringing her with me. “Come on Birdy, let’s get a shower and then I’ll feed you. You're gonna need your strength,” I say, grinning as I lift her up into my arms and carry her out of the bedroom.

“Put me down. I can walk you know,” she grumbles but doesn’t fight me.

“I don’t care,” I chuckle turning to walk into the bathroom.

Throughout our shower neither of us says a word as we explore each other’s bodies until the water goes cold. Drying off, I slip on my jeans leaving them undone while Raven pulls my tee shirt over her head.

She’s fuckin’ gorgeous and I can’t seem to take my eyes off her. Raven’s a natural beauty, never needing an ounce of makeup. Why she insists on the gunk is ridiculous. Leave it for the women who are self-absorbed with themselves.

“You said something about feeding me. Does that mean you can cook, or do I need to be the one to do it?” she asks, arms crossing over her chest as she brings me out of my thoughts.
