Loki (House of Payne, #10)(44)
Author: Stacy Gail

What a question. “Yes. Hurry.”

“No way am I hurrying through this.” As if to prove it, he stroked a slow hand up her inner thigh to her cleft. The first slide of his finger through her intimate folds made her gasp out loud, her whole body jerking when he just brushed her throbbing clit. “Oh, baby. Fucking love how wet you are for me.”

A thrill shot through her. “Not my fault. You’re such a man, you make me like this whenever you’re near me.”

“Good.” His eyes burned with an all-encompassing light that was extraordinary to see—hunger and pride, and absolute triumph. Then his questing fingers slid along the hard nub of her clit once more, again making her jerk as if shocked with a jolt of electricity. “I have to give my Alice’s pussy what it wants, don’t I? But before it gets my cock, I have to give this pussy a proper petting.”

Oh, boy.

While Loki rained hot, open-mouthed kisses along her neck, he stroked her cleft until she could do nothing more than writhe helplessly beneath his touch. It was so good, what he made her feel, that she gave herself completely over to the sensations washing through her. Wave after wave of pleasure pushed her deeper into mindlessness, the sheer bliss of it radiating from where he touched to every part of her.

Almost without warning, the sweetness swirling through her sharpened, deepened, her muscles tensing with excruciating anticipation. Blindly she reached for his dick, even as her hips pumped helplessly against his hand.

“Inside me,” she begged, hardly able to string the words together. She was so close now, so damn close… “God, please.”

“You’re ready for me.” Sounding thoroughly pleased, he pulled her knees up high on either side of him and entered her with a breathtakingly bold stroke.

Alice cried out, her head digging back into the pillows and her back arching as the sudden surge of his cock into her depths pushed her into the purest climax she’d ever experienced. Her interior walls stretched to accommodate him, gloving his hardness with such perfection she felt complete for the first time in her life. Wildly she met him thrust for thrust, chasing after that euphoric sense of being whole. Endlessly the ecstasy exploded in every cell, rolling through her with such intensity it nearly blocked out his groans of completion.

After a small eternity she slowly floated down from that mindless heaven, stunned at how far Loki had sent her soaring. Her body tingled with it, like she’d been filled with electricity, and every nerve ending quivered with hypersensitivity.

Damn. If she’d known sex with Loki was going to be a conscious-altering, life-shaking event, she would have insisted on getting down to business right away, instead of letting him get away with making her wait.

That thought made her stir.

“So,” she murmured, turning to nuzzle her mouth against his ear. “After all that, aren’t you sorry now that you didn’t get into my pants sooner?”

“Did I just hear a challenge?” With his weight still completely on her, he turned his head to grin at her. “Sounds like you think I have some lost time to make up for.”

“There’s nothing wrong with your hearing.”

“So that was a challenge.” He dropped his head to give her a slow, deep kiss before looking down at her with eyes that warmed her soul and heated her blood. “We’ve got a long weekend ahead of us. Let’s see if I can make up for all that time you seem to think you’re owed.”

“Okay,” she said so quickly he threw back his head and laughed.

Chapter Fourteen

“This is heaven.”

Loki watched Alice down the last of her raspberry gelato, the setting sun striking blue highlights in her glossy raven hair as they sat on a low wall in Grant Park. Behind them came the watery whisper of Buckingham Fountain, a massive, multitiered fountain that looked like a madman’s wedding cake, and was supposed to depict the majestic vastness of Lake Michigan.

Beyond the fountain itself rose the spires of the famous Chicago skyline against a cloudless spring sky, so it was no wonder the park was more crowded than usual. Couples walked hand-in-hand along scenic pathways, children laughed as they played in the elongating shadows, and nearby a pink-haired girl with a guitar busked for tips. It was a picture-perfect postcard setting, but he barely gave it a glance as he reached over to take Alice’s empty paper cup and spoon to toss it in a nearby trashcan.

“I suppose I should say some shit about you spoiling your dinner with that gelato, but I’ve always been a big believer in going for what you want, when you want it.” He pulled her to her feet and into his arms, his hands sliding carefully down to her ass. A man had to prove his point of going for what he wanted, after all. “How are you feeling?”

“Curious if you’ve got any plans for that dinner you just mentioned.” The ease of her smile and total absence of tension in the face she turned up to him loosened a knot in his chest he didn’t even know he had. “Who’s buying? Because if dinner’s on me, it’s soft pretzels from the same vending cart where we got the gelato.”

“I think I can do better. Are you pro deep-dish pizza, or anti? You’re a native Chicagoan, so I know you have a strong opinion on the subject.”

“I’m pro good deep-dish. I don’t like doughy crust that’s too thick, and the tomato sauce needs to be salty, not sweet. I’m not a picky eater,” she added, as if she feared he was judging her. “I just know what I like.”

“Nothing wrong with that.” Since he knew what he liked in her—which was damn near everything—he could totally relate. “Malnati’s deep-dish it is, whenever you get hungry.”

“I’m probably going to have to work off that gelato.” The sparkle in her dark eyes became hotter than any fire he’d ever seen. “Any ideas?”

“Only about a thousand.” But that guitarist was giving him an idea he figured she’d never see coming, and that decided it for him. “Dancing’s a great way to work up an appetite.”

Her jaw-drop was too damn adorable for words. “Uh, do you remember I told you that I don’t dance?”

“I recall a story about some adolescent dipshit drooling on you. You got my word, Stems. I’m not going to drool on you.” Curling an arm around her waist, he guided her toward the busker. “And it’s not that you don’t know how to dance. You just never had the right partner.”

“What if I step on your toes?”

“I’ve got steel-toed boots.” Smiling, he turned her in his arms, placed her left hand on his shoulder, then captured her free hand in his before pulling her close. “I’ll live.”

“We’re really going to do this?” An incredulous little laugh escaped her as her feet awkwardly moved with him. “Oh, my God, we’re really doing this.”

“Yeah, we are.” The tune was a sweet one, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” and just the right tempo for a newbie like Alice to keep up with. “See? Look at you. You’re dancing like an angel without even trying.”

“I’m terrified I’m going to trip you, and we’ll both die when we fall to the ground. Where do I put my feet?”
