Master of My Life (Finding Sabrina #3)(17)
Author: Marissa Honeycutt

“George wouldn’t have recommended you if you weren’t.”

She arched a delicate brow. “I hadn’t heard that you were so forthcoming with people you didn’t know.”

“I’m an excellent judge of first impressions.”

“That I have heard.” She smiled. “I don’t kiss and tell.”

It was Damian’s turn to smile. He appreciated her discretion. “How many of the men in this club have you seduced for your work?”

She gave a low laugh. “More than a few.”

“Tell me something you won’t do.”

“Won’t do?” She arched a brow. “Not much.”

“Come kneel in front of me and suck me off.”

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me.”

Her eyes narrowed. “If you want that kind of service, I can take you in the back. The girls there are quite accommodating.”

“No, I want that pretty little mouth of yours on my dick. Now.”

She leaned forward and set the stemmed glass on the wooden table between them. Her breasts moved forward, giving Damian another tantalizing tease. “If you ever ask me to do that again, I’ll make sure you never see your dick again.” She stood and took three long strides away.

“Sydney.”

She stopped and turned, her eyes cold.

“Come sit down. I’m sure we can come to some sort of arrangement.” He smiled benevolently.

Several hours later, Damian stood, glancing back at Sydney stretched out on his bed. Her skin was flushed, her nipples hard, and she had more than one bruise on her hip.

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“I have a meeting.” He leaned over to stroke her hip, pressing his thumb into the darker bruises. She gasped in pain. He smiled and walked toward the bathroom.

“Can I come?”

Damian stopped and turned back to her. “You want to come to my meeting? We just met.”

She rolled onto her back and stretched out her long legs. “I find you interesting.”

Damian chuckled. “I know you do.” He tilted his head. “Enough to suck on my cock again?”

She gave a pretty smile. “Maybe.”

“I thought you didn’t do that.” She’d protested until he’d convinced her otherwise.

“As I said, I find you interesting.”

“You only suck on interesting men’s dicks?”

“Maybe.” She smiled up at him.

“I don’t think you’d find my meeting interesting.”

“Why do you go then?”

“I said you’d not find it interesting, not me. I find them very interesting.” He sat on the bed and stroked her hip. “It’s for men.”

Sydney rolled her eyes. “I go into ‘men-only’ places all the time.”

He pinched her nipple hard enough to bring tears to her eyes. “I’m sure you do, but the only women who attend my meetings are used sexually.” He twisted his wrist, and she yelped. “And my friends aren’t nice.”

Her eyes widened. “You can’t be serious.”

He released her and stood.

Her mouth dropped open and she stared at him, then narrowed her eyes. “I’m no prude.”

“I know. I like that about you.” She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. He tilted his head as he studied her. “Tell me something about yourself. Something from your past.”

She frowned. “My past is none of your business.”

“What if I want to get to know you better?”

“You know me well enough.” She scooted to the edge of the bed and picked up her discarded clothing before heading to the bathroom. “If you have a job for me, call. Otherwise, we’re done here.” She slammed the door closed.

Damian chuckled. Obviously, something from her past was still an open wound. He thought he knew what it was, but it would be fun to find out more.

He winced as pain flashed through his head. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temple. The headaches were getting more frequent, a testament to the conflicting souls sharing this mortal body. He needed to get Sabrina under his control. Soon.

Sabrina woke the next morning in her own bed. Why does it feel strange to be in my bed? Oh, yes. She’d fallen asleep on the couch between Chase and Ethan the previous night. Chase must have carried her into her room.

Her lower lip stuck out. She’d missed his goodnight kiss.

She stretched and checked her phone for a message from him before rolling out of bed. Nothing. She padded out into the hallway. Ethan’s door was wide open and his bed was empty, still made from the day before.

Her heart leaped into her chest, and she hurried to the living room, hoping he’d just fallen asleep on the couch.

She stopped short when she saw Chase lying on the couch, bare-chested, a blanket covering the lower half of his legs.

Damn . . .

One arm was slung over his eyes, the other hung off the edge. Sabrina stared, realizing she’d never seen him with his shirt off before. Even at the Gathering, he’d kept his tunic on. She crept closer and saw the pale scars up and down his torso, but it didn’t detract from the fact that he was a beautiful man.

A sigh escaped her lips as her gaze traveled down his toned stomach to a trail of dark hairs leading from his navel into his halfway undone jeans. A rush of warmth spread through her body and she licked her lips.

“If you keep staring at me like that, I’m going to have a hard time keeping my hands to myself.” He moved his elbow up to his forehead and gave her a heart-melting smile.

“Sorry,” she whispered. “I just . . .” She swallowed. “Well, you’re just so nice to look at.”

He chuckled and sat up, his abdominals contracting as he did. She sighed, then forced herself to look away, feeling her cheeks heat.

Chase chuckled again.

“Where’s Ethan?” When he didn’t answer, she turned back and frowned at the strange expression on his face. “What happened?”

He chewed his lip.

Sabrina looked around the room. A pair of jeans and a pair of sweats lay near the coffee table. She frowned and glanced back at Chase. “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?”

He scratched his head and then ran his hands through his hair. “He’s in Jayson’s room.”

“What? Why?” The image of two naked men in bed flashed into her mind and she gasped. She clapped her hand over her mouth. “They—” Naked men. In bed. “They’re gay?” Sabrina looked back at the hallway, her mind spinning with strange and arousing thoughts.

“No. Well, not exactly.”

She blinked and stared at Chase. She was a dancer. She was around gay men all the time, but she usually could tell if a guy was gay or not. She never thought much of it, nor cared. But Jayson? Ethan? She never would have thought them interested in other men.

Ever.

Chase grabbed her hand, and she sat on the table across from him. “Sabrina. Listen—”

She blinked. I’ve slept with Jayson. And Ethan is so . . . manly. How—

“Remember when you worried about what you enjoy sexually?”
