This could be a problem.

SASHA REMAINED QUIET the remainder of the ride back home. When we get to the clubhouse, I drive around back and park next to the back door. Grabbing her bag, I hop out of the cab and walk to the passenger side of the truck. When I open the door, her deadpan stare is gone, and I can see her fear has returned.

“Come on, little girl,” I say to her as I pull her from the truck and toss her petite, five-foot-two body over my shoulder.

She wiggles and fights against my hold, so I drop her bag, freeing my left hand.

“Hey,” I reach up and smack her ass hard. “Calm the fuck down, or this is going to be a lot worse for you.”

She stills as soon as my palm lands on her delicious, round ass. I almost regret doing it once because my palm begins to itch, wanting to do it again. Marching through the back door, I meet the eyes of several of my brothers, who stop to get a good look at the girl I’m carrying.

“Where do you want her, boss?” I ask Stone when he approaches me.

“Basement.”

She starts screaming again when she hears where we’re headed, but I don’t do anything to stop her. She’ll be able to scream all she wants soon, and there won’t be anyone around to help her.

The basement is more like a warehouse than anything. There are shelves filled with beer and liquor that we keep on hand, both for the bar and for parties that we throw. We also keep a bunch of extra bike parts and tools down here. That way, we always have something on hand should one of our bikes need fixing.

In the very back of the basement, however, is a little room with a single chair in it. We use this room when we need to get answers from someone. If you end up down here, it means that you’ve fucked up. Chances are good that you’re not leaving here alive.

My stomach is in knots the closer we get, but I don’t dare do anything about it. Especially not with Stone on my heels. I hate the idea of her being in here, but even more, I hate the idea of her not coming out alive. However, the Club comes before everything else. If Iron doesn’t pull through, I know that I will be the one to end this girl’s life.

I walk her through the door and put her down on the chair. Stone turns the light on as I begin to remove the tape from her wrists and ankles. Once she’s free from her binds, she pulls her arms in front of her, stretching her sore muscles.

“Please don’t do this! I’m so sorry for what happened,” she screams, and I wish she would have kept her mouth shut.

Stone’s hand moves so fast I barely see it, but the smack that echoes throughout the tiny room and basement beyond could probably also be heard upstairs.

She nearly flies off of her chair from the force of the blow. Grabbing hold of her face, she howls in pain. My heart clenches at the noise, but I do nothing. I can’t react, even though hot anger courses through me.

“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Stone asks her.

She’s sobbing again and working on sucking air into her lungs. It’s the only sound that she makes, as she’s unable to answer Stone’s question.

“When I ask you a question, you answer it,” he commands.

This time, she takes a deep breath and manages to speak. When she does, it’s as though my heart splits into two.

“I’m no one,” she seethes through clenched teeth, her body shaking with fear, or anger, or hatred.

Probably all three.

“That’s right. You are no one. And if our brother doesn’t pull through, you’re going to be no one, six feet under the motherfucking ground in the middle of nowhere.”

I don’t expect her to look up at him. When she does, I can see that the right corner of her mouth is swollen, and blood oozes from her split lip. I was wrong about the fear and anger. She’s looking at Stone with pure hatred.

“Let’s go, Blade,” Stone orders.

I follow him from the room and secure the deadbolt behind me, locking her inside, all alone.

Chapter Ten

Sasha

The moment I hear the lock engage, my chest gets tight and feels as though it’s caving in on itself. I hate small spaces like this. Between that and the gravity of my situation, I’m having a hard time catching my breath. I tried to put on a brave face and take ownership of what I did, but the moment that monster put his hands on me, I knew that I was in way deeper than I initially thought.

Would things be any different right now if I would have stayed with the man that I hit? If I would have tried to comfort him or... something until the ambulance came? My pain shifts from sorrow at my situation to grief for the man that I’ve barely thought of through this whole ordeal. I’ve been so worried about my own safety that I didn’t once stop and wonder how he is doing.

I hope he wakes up soon. When—if—he does, will they let me go, then?

I’ve got a bad feeling they won’t.

Standing up from the seat, I push on the door to see if it will open. I don’t know why I try. I heard the lock turn when they left. Still trying to suck air into my lungs, I scroll through my brain, searching for something to distract myself.

Blade.

The older man called my abductor Blade. It’s odd. It must be some kind of nickname. If so, I wonder why they call him that.

Ooo, tough guy. He didn’t seem so tough when he nearly kissed me in the woods outside of the motel. Recalling the memory makes my lips tingle. I press two fingers to them and try not to think about it, about him.

As my body heats, I take a closer look around the small room that I’m in. It’s a box with a door, for all intents and purposes. There aren’t any windows, not that there would be in a basement. I notice that there isn’t even an air vent.

That’s when my panic really sets in. The thought of being cut off from the air outside of my prison is terrifying. My heated skin grows hotter as I start pounding on the door, screaming for someone to let me out.

“Hello!” I shout, hitting the door with my palm until it feels bruised. “Someone let me out of here!”

I don’t know how long I beat at the door, it could have been one minute or one hour, but no one comes for me. I back up into the wall behind me and lower myself to the ground. Fatigued from panic and overexertion, I lay on my side in the fetal position, and sleep takes over me.

A HOT FLUSH WARMS MY skin as the gorgeous man covers my body with his.

“You’re beautiful,” he declares, as he runs his fingers through my long, chestnut hair.

Palming my cheek, he caresses my bottom lip with his thumb before slowly pressing it into my mouth. I lick his salty skin for a second before he pulls out and traces a path over my chin, down my neck, and in between my cleavage.

I reach up and comb my fingers through his hair. When his hand reaches between my legs, he slides a finger through my wet slit. My eyes shut as he teases me, and I close my fist, grabbing a handful of his hair.

“Does that feel good, Sasha?”

“Yes,” I moan.

Slipping his fingers inside of me, he draws out my moan.

“Blade...” I tremble as he begins swirling his fingers around.

“Sasha...” he pants.

“Sasha.”

“Sasha.”

I’m startled awake at the sound of Blade’s voice. He’s crouching next to me with his large arms resting on his knees.
