Work Me Good(54)
Author: Ali Parker

“That’s why you’re here? You want to be a part of my success.”

She shook her head. “Nope. I’ll find my own success. We all have our own idea what successful is. I have no desire to be wealthy or own twenty companies. I just want my little piece of the pie.”

I nodded. “I get that.”

She rubbed her neck and rolled her head back and forth. She’d been putting in long hours and looked exhausted. I rose from my chair and walked around her desk. She turned to look up at me. “What are you doing?”

“Shh, relax, you’re very tense.” I put my hands on her shoulders and began to rub.

“You don’t have to do that,” she said and shrugged away from me.

“I want to,” I told her and turned her chair. “Let me do this for you.”

I began to rub again. Her head dropped forward as I worked out the tension I could feel across her shoulders. “Thank you,” she moaned. “I guess I’m not as used to the long hours as I used to be.”

“You’ve been working very hard,” I told her.

“You spend hours at your computer,” she said. “Aren’t you stiff?”

I was stiff in more ways than one. Touching her and staring down at her bare neck was pulling up memories I didn’t need to have just then. I could smell the scent of her shampoo combined with her natural feminine scent. I found myself leaning forward and inhaling just a bit more.

“I get up and walk around a lot,” I told her. “It helps.”

“I should do that,” she murmured. “God, that feels good.”

I was using every ounce of my self-control not to lean down and run my tongue across her neck. I heard her let out a long breath. It sounded very much like the kind of breath she would release during sex. My hands drifted down her back and began to massage the muscles there. I felt her bra strap and thought about unhooking it. I could do it through the shirt. I had no doubt in my mind.

She moaned again. I couldn’t resist another minute. I slowly turned her chair to face me. She looked up and I saw the desire. She wanted this. I leaned forward and put my hands on either side of her, resting on the armrests. I looked into her eyes and waited a brief moment before I leaned forward and kissed her.

My mouth brushed over hers gently at first as I tested the waters. If she didn’t want me, she’d push me away. I didn’t want to come on too strong. When there was no pushing, I pressed my mouth to hers and pushed my tongue inside. I kept my hands planted on the armrests. I didn’t make a move to deepen the kiss any more than it already was. If she wanted me, she’d touch me. That would be my clue.

When her hands reached up and stroked down my biceps, I knew it was a go. I reached down and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up. I jerked her body against mine, keeping my hands firmly on her hips.

“We can’t do this,” she breathed against my lips.

“Why not?”

“It blurs the lines,” she said.

I moved my mouth over her neck. “I like playing outside the lines.”

Her head moved to the side, giving me plenty of landscape to run my tongue over her neck. She groaned. “Just this once,” she whispered.

I smiled against her flesh and nibbled the skin. I heard her suck in a breath and knew she was ripe for the plucking.

Chapter 35

Saige

I told myself I wasn’t going to do this with him anymore. I hated that he had some kind of strange power over me. He made me want to crawl up him every time he gave me a certain look. It was a look that said he wanted me.

His hands dropped to the back of my skirt and slowly unzipped it. “This is so wrong,” I murmured aloud.

“How can anything that feels this good be wrong?” he said with his mouth next to my ear. “We’re so good at this. It’s like our bodies were made for each other. I fit inside you like the best glove.”

I shuddered at the thought of him filling me once again. “How do you do that?” I moaned and stepped out of the skirt he’d pushed to the floor.

“Do what?”

“You make me so horny with just a few words. Whenever you talk like that, I feel like you are touching me.”

“If I could touch you every time I wanted you, things would never get done.”

I slid my hands under his shirt. “Is it bad that I think about touching you when you’re sitting in your office scowling at everyone?”

He nibbled my collarbone as he pushed my blouse open. “Don’t just think it, do it. You can touch me anytime.”

There was a little voice in the back of my head that started out small and then suddenly roared to life. It would not be ignored. His hand slipped between my legs and intimately cupped me. I froze and dropped my hand to where his rested against me. “Wait,” I managed to get out.

“What’s wrong?”

“I have to ask you something before we do this. Again.”

He licked a spot between my ear and shoulder. It was a guaranteed gasp every time he touched me there. He knew it. He knew all my sensitive spots. “What do you want to ask me?” he teased.

“Are you married?”

He jerked away, his hand pulling away from me. “What?”

“Married,” I managed to get out the word a second time. “Are you still married?”

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do if he said yes. I was standing in my office naked from the waist down with my blouse hanging open. His pants were open with his hard cock jutting out. This was probably not the right time to broach the subject, but I had to know.

“No,” he answered. He held up his left hand. “No ring.”

“That doesn’t mean anything. You were married the last time I saw you.”

“We were divorced five years ago,” he said. “It was a mistake and we both knew it. I’m not married.”

“Are you engaged?”

“No.”

I studied him. I wanted to believe him, but damn, he’d burned me once before. “Are you seeing anyone seriously? Do you have a girlfriend?”

He smiled and put his hands on my hips. “No and no. There is no one else.”

His mouth returned to my neck. He could make me mindless with a few kisses. I believed he wasn’t married, and I believe he wasn’t engaged, but I did not believe he wasn’t seeing anyone else. I knew him too well to believe that. He was one of the most eligible bachelors in the state.

“Stop thinking about it,” he murmured against my neck. “There’s no one else. There’s just me and you and my cock that is on the verge of exploding. Touch me.”

I reached my hands into his hair and kissed him. I felt the possession in my own kiss. I didn’t know if it would scare him away. Last time we’d been close, my possessiveness had scared him off. I didn’t want that to happen again.

“No strings,” I whispered as my hand slipped between us.

“Just the way I like it,” he replied.

I should have probably been offended. I wasn’t. I didn’t want anything serious. I was happy to do this thing just the way we were. Convenient sex was very satisfying.
