The tank tops she wore under her chef coat had revealed she was curvy, but the corset pushed her breasts up into a deep cleavage that wasn’t possible with mere fabric. It also pulled in her waist to improbable proportions that made him want to rip the damn thing off her, so she could breathe again.

The black leather skirt hugged her legs tightly and was so short, he was pretty sure if she bent over, it would roll straight up to her waist. His dick pulsing at the idea, Nick shifted his stance uncomfortably, hoping his erection wasn’t obvious. Fortunately, his drawstring pants were pretty loose in the crotch. Three cheers for chef pants. Not the first time he’d been grateful for that since he started working with Avery.
“I had to ask Olivia a question,” he answered. He was about to ask what the hell she was doing there, except he already knew. From the way she was dressed, it was pretty obvious. “Do you… do you do this?”
He gestured at the door to Marquis’ exhibition room. Nick hadn’t been in it while there was a show going on, but he knew what happened up here. Tried not to think about it too much, partly because he didn’t want to think about what his brother got up to with Olivia up here and partly because the whole thing disturbed him on a deeper level.
Nick and Luke had been raised to respect women. Not that the women up here seemed to feel they were disrespected—he didn’t think Olivia would ever tolerate any woman here being disrespected—but he still had trouble wrapping his head around it. Wasn’t sure he could do it.
Liar. You like the idea. You’re afraid you like it too much.
Looking at Avery, dressed like that, it was hard to argue the point. She straightened her shoulders, throwing them back, and took a deep breath, which pushed her pillowy breasts up even more. Nick gritted his teeth against a groan. Fuck, did she have any idea what she was doing to him?
“I used to,” she said almost primly. Her hands twitched as if she was having trouble not covering up. The two women with her—Rae and Domi, if he remembered their names correctly—moved closer to her on either side, offering their silent support. It grated on his nerves they thought she needed it.
He wasn’t going to chew her out. What she did with her private time was her business, but… but…
Fuck.
“I used to do ‘this.’ Be submissive. Kinky. I came here tonight to watch the show and get an idea if it’s something I still want.” Avery’s eyes darted to Freddy, then back to Nick, her expression turning uncertain. As if she didn’t know whether he would be okay with her outing their…
What did they have going on between them? An attraction? A flirtation?
Something.
Nothing.
He should let her go in. Let her have her night, and he’d go downstairs and work his shift. They could hash it out later. Give them both time to think, then talk about what they wanted from each other, where to go from here now that he knew more about what she was into. Let things play out.
Yeah, that didn’t sound like him at all.
Spinning around on his heel, he turned back to his brother’s girlfriend and Dominatrix. Olivia sat behind her desk, watching him with utter amusement on her face.
“Nick?” Avery asked, sounding as though she was coming closer. He ignored her.
He was about to prove Olivia right about something, and that chafed, but right now, it felt like the lesser evil.
“Okay Olivia, you’re finally getting your way. I want to sign up for the Dominant 101 course.”
Olivia smiled, and behind him, he heard Avery gasp.
