The Screw Ball (Indianapolis Lightning #3)(38)
Author: Samantha Lind

“That will be perfect,” I tell her before she exits the room.

I find Carmen out on the balcony, looking out over the water. I stand behind her, boxing her in against the railing as I place my arms on it, and my chin on her shoulder.

“It’s so much more than the pictures depict. Thank you,” she says, placing her hand on my cheek.

“Of course, even if it was a bitch to get here.” She laughs as she relaxes into my embrace. “I have them bringing us something to eat.”

“Good, I’m starving.”

“I figured, then maybe we can relax in the hot tub before bed?” I suggest. We timed things almost perfectly, with arriving in the evening. Hopefully with a good night’s sleep, we’ll wake up feeling refreshed and then we can have the rest of our time here to really relax and enjoy the place.

I hear the tapping of someone at the door, so I step away, immediately missing the feeling of her body against mine. I open the door and find the concierge there with a large platter. I let her in, and she places it on the two-person table in the room. I pull some cash from my wallet, tipping her generously for bringing this to us so quickly. “Thank you,” I say before she turns to leave.

“Please don’t hesitate to call us if you need anything else, enjoy your stay.”

She leaves the room and I uncover the tray, grabbing a few chunks of cheese and crackers and pop them into my mouth. “Babe, come join me,” I call out, filling one of the small plates with meats, cheese and a few nuts.

“Wow, that’s quite the spread,” Carmen says, grabbing her own plate to fill. We take them out onto the deck, sitting on the edge with our feet hanging off and into the warm water as we watch the sun sink down below the horizon.

“What is it about us and watching sunsets while on vacation?” she asks as we both dig in to the food.

“Not sure, but I can get used to this,” I tell her, motioning to all the amazing things around us. The outside lights on the bungalows all start to come on now that it is dark. They light up, allowing people to safely swim in the water surrounding their place at night if they want to.

Once we’re both finished, I put our plates aside and tug Carmen into my lap. We sit like that for a while, just enjoying the quiet.

“Ready for the hot tub?” she asks, turning in my arms to look up at me.

“Yep, but only if we get in naked.” I smirk.

“Okay.” She smirks right back at me. I didn’t think she’d go for it, but she surprises me occasionally.

I make sure that we have towels outside and within reach of the tub, then we both strip out of our clothes and sink into the hot water. Once I’m settled, Carmen straddles my lap, my cock going hard as soon as her pussy slides over it.

“Well, hello,” I state, gripping her hips as I help her slide over my cock. A quick lift of her hips and she’s sliding down my shaft.

“Yes,” she moans as she slowly lifts and lowers her hips, ever so slowly riding me. I move my hands to cup her breasts, playing with her nipples as she kisses me hard.

“Take what you need, baby,” I encourage her as she chases her own release.

I can tell she’s getting close, but also tiring out, so I drop a hand from her breast and pinch her clit. The added stimulation is all that she needed to go flying over the edge. She collapses forward, the exhaustion of the day hitting her hard, along with the orgasm.

As her hips slow, I remove my hand from her clit and thrust up a few times, finding my own release as her body continues to contract around my cock.

I wait a few moments until our breathing has returned to normal. “Babe, let’s go wash off and go to bed. You’re about to fall asleep in the water.”

“Yeah,” she agrees, sleepily. I help her stand from the tub, grabbing one of the fluffy towels and wrapping it around her before stepping out and do the same thing. We head straight for the bathroom. I stop only long enough to open our suitcases and grab our toiletry bags so that we can get ready for bed after the shower.

When I join her, she’s already got the shower going and is under the spray. I hand over her shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

“Thanks, I completely forgot about these,” she says, a yawn taking over.

“I know, now wash up so you can get some sleep.” Even with seats that turned into beds on the flight, it was still sleep on an airplane, so it isn’t like we arrived well rested.

We make it to bed, both crashing within minutes of our heads hitting the pillows.

“Let’s go, babe,” I call out to Carmen as she gets ready. I scheduled a private dinner out in a cabana bungalow the resort has for special occasions. They’ve helped me plan this entire night, but it all centers around being there for the sunset.

“Coming. Sorry, I was trying to find the right earrings,” she says, putting one in.

“You look gorgeous,” I tell her for probably the twentieth time.

“Thank you,” she says, giving me a quick kiss. “I’m ready now.”

“About time,” I tease as I link our fingers together and lead her out of our bungalow. We walk down the path to the main resort turning when we reach the T that will take us to our spot for the night. As we approach the cabana, it is all lit up with tiki torches. They’ve spread rose petals along the walkway, and all over the floor. In the center is a table for two, champagne bucket to the side and a sitting area near the edge that looks out over the water where we can watch the sun set.

“Good evening,” our server greets us. “Can I offer you a glass of champagne?” he offers, holding up a tray with two glasses.

“Thank you,” Carmen says, taking one of the glasses before he moves it slightly so I can grab the other one.

“Please enjoy the view, we’ll serve the appetizers down by the water’s edge in approximately five minutes.”

“Thank you so much,” she tells him again, then takes another sip of her champagne. I lead her over to the water’s edge. My palms start to sweat as I think over the words that have been on my mind since well before we arrived here earlier this week. The ring in my pocket has been burning a hole since I bought it weeks ago, but I knew that I needed something big and grand to take place when I asked her to marry me.

I set my glass down on the small table, grabbing hers and doing the same. I hold her while we look out over the water, until I realize that I’ve got to do this if I want the pictures to be perfect.

I turn us once more, this time so we’re facing one another. I look down in her eyes and see nothing but the immense amount of love she has for me shining back.

“Carmen,” I start, my voice cracking slightly as my emotions catch up with me. “I know our start was rocky, it’s safe to say you hated me when we first met,” I say, and she chuckles. “Thankfully, I pulled my head out of my ass and stopped being childish. I wanted to prove to you that I wasn’t the man the media portrayed me to be. I wanted to prove to you I was a man who could be trusted and one who could sweep you off your feet. One that could be trusted to love you and show you the world.” I drop to one knee, pulling the ring from my pocket as I do. I open the box and hold it out. I look up at her tearful, yet happy smile, “Carmen Gibson, will you make me the happiest man on this earth and marry me?” I ask as she launches herself at me.
