Bombshell (Whiskey Dolls #1)(33)
Author: Jessica Prince

I practically threw myself into my car and started it, eager to get rolling. I fished my phone out of my purse and shot off a quick text.

Me: Leaving the club now. You still up?

His reply was almost instant.

Pierce: Wide awake. Feel free to break some driving laws if it’ll get you here sooner.

I did an excited little shimmy in my seat and started out of the parking lot. The drive from Whiskey Dolls to Pierce’s house felt like it took a lifetime yet also seemed to pass by in a flash. A spike of frustration would shoot through me with every red light I hit, and by the time I finally pulled into his driveway and killed the engine, I felt like I was coming out of my skin.

My hands shook as I reached into my backseat to get my overnight bag. It had taken me forever to find the damn thing earlier that day. When I moved into my own apartment months ago, it had gotten lost in the shuffle, and I’d had to dig through the deepest, darkest recesses of my closet to find it.

I climbed out of the car on shaky legs. I’d been here nearly every day for the past several days, yet, for some reason, Pierce’s big, gorgeous house looked different to me now. Moving up the front walk, it even felt different.

I’d just lifted my hand to knock when the door swung open. Pierce’s large frame nearly took up the entire doorway, and I felt a rush of arousal as I scanned him from head to toe, taking in the slacks and pressed shirt.

He was sans tie, and his sleeves were rolled up in what I liked to call his Pierce After Work Look. It was a damn good look.

“Did you go in to the office tod—” My question cut off on a shocked yelp as his arm shot out. His hand swept around and grasped me by the nape of my neck, and he used his hold to jerk me into the house. The door slammed behind me, and a moment later, my back slammed into it, and I found myself pinned between the unforgiving wood and Pierce’s rock-hard body from one blink to the next.

My chest was rising and falling on sharp, startled breaths as I looked up at his face. It was as hard as pure granite. His jaw was ticking, and his eyes looked positively wild. I wasn’t sure if I should be scared or incredibly turned on, but for some reason, my body decided to be a little bit of both.

“What’s wrong?” I panted, feeling panic and excitement coursing through my veins. “Did something happen?”

“I didn’t go to the office,” he growled, leaning so close he was all I could see. All I could smell.

“Oh. Okay.”

“I went to the club to see you.”

That threw me for a second, and I had to give my brain a beat to catch up. “You did?”

“I did. Caught both performances.”

I still couldn’t read his mood. All I knew was it was dark and overwhelming. But then again, so was everything about him. “Are you . . . are you mad?”

He stayed motionless for ten seconds. I counted each and every one of them, and it felt like it took an eternity. Then he slowly shook his head. “You were a goddamn vision up on that stage,” he said softly, closing the distance so his lips brushed against mine as he spoke. “Never seen anything like it before in my life. I couldn’t take my eyes off you. I’m not sure I breathed the entire time you were dancing.”

Oh. Oh. Okay, so he wasn’t mad.

Nope, he was incredibly turned on. And all of a sudden my panties were uncomfortably damp.

I felt my lips curve up in a triumphant grin. “So I take it you liked the show?”

“Oh yeah, baby. I liked the show. Haven’t been able to get my dick to go down since you stepped out from behind that screen.”

To make sure I believed him, he pressed harder against me, letting me feel the evidence of his arousal against my belly.

“And tonight I’m going to fuck you, knowing all that beauty, all that talent, the persona up on that stage that every man in the room wants, is all mine,” he finished on a growl.

I only had one thought in my head in that moment.

Yes, please!

He picked me up like I weighed less than a cloud, leaving me no choice but to wrap my legs around his waist and hold on to his shoulders as his mouth fed from mine and he began carrying me up the stairs.

I’d never been manhandled like that, so . . . perfectly. It was brilliant. I felt like a tiny little doll in his arms, something he could pick up and move around and take complete control over. And I was down with that.

When it came to Pierce Walton, I gave as good as I got. I didn’t cower under his iciness. I threw that shit right back at him. But when we were like this . . . well, like this, I wanted to cede control. I wanted to feel his strength surrounding me completely.

We hit the middle of the staircase when Titan decided he wanted to get in on the action and caused Pierce to trip, nearly dropping me on my ass.

I let out a laugh, looking up at him with a goofy grin. “Maybe I should walk the rest of the way to prevent any potential bodily harm.”

The look on his face just then, sheer determination mixed with frustration that his dog had ruined the moment, was so freaking adorable I laughed again. I couldn’t help it. He looked so cute when he was petulant.

“Titan, go lie down,” he commanded his pet, and the poor dog looked positively crestfallen as he lowered his head and sulked down the stairs toward his big bed in the living room.

“Aw, poor—” My words were cut off when Pierce took my hand and hauled me up, all but dragging me the rest of the way up the stairs and down the hall to his room.

I’d never been in there before, but upon first glance it was very obviously him. Dark rich wood furniture, cream sheets beneath a dark blue bedspread. The walls were painted a lovely neutral gray. And that was all I was able to take in before he was all over me.

“You have no idea how badly I want you,” he growled against my lips as he reached for the hem of my T-shirt, breaking the kiss only long enough to whip it over my head and leave me in nothing but my bra and yoga pants. Thank God I remembered to wear my pretty underwear.

“Watching you tonight . . . Christ, Marin. You were the only thing I could see, the only person who existed in that entire club.”

A whimper of need worked its way up my throat. I was quickly losing my mind as his mouth traveled down my neck. He reached my collarbone and bit, the sharp sting causing a delicious clench between my thighs. “Pierce.”

His head came up, those icy blue eyes now black thanks to his blown pupils. “Let me make you feel good, baby.”

“Okay.”

I felt his lips smile against the top swell of my breast, then he wrenched the cup down and sucked the stiff peak of my nipple into his mouth, drawing deep. It felt like there was a line inside of me, leading from my nipple right to my clit, and the electric shock between my legs made me gasp. Reaching up, I slid my fingers into his hair, fisting it tight so I could hold him against me as I arched my back to get closer.

“Most perfect tits I’ve ever seen,” he grunted as he moved to pay equal attention to the other one. By the time he released it with a loud pop, they both felt swollen and incredibly sensitive, and I’d have melted into a puddle of lust on his bedroom floor had he not been holding me up with an arm banded around my waist.

His hands shifted, sliding around so they could rest at the small dip in my waist. He stared down at them in fascination, and I couldn’t help but look. His wide, tanned hands looked so good spanned across my lighter skin. “You fit me perfectly,” I said, giving voice to my thoughts.
