Dear Reader,
There really is a Blossom, Texas, and a Weezy’s Restaurant. Mr. B., our son Lemar, and I enjoyed a little research trip to that area before I started writing this story. We had planned to stop at Weezy’s, but it was closed when we were there. Hope Creek and the waterfall are just places that I felt should be near Blossom, so I took the liberty of putting them there.
I’ve approached the delicate subject of bipolar disorder in this story and the effect that it has on a family if it goes undiagnosed and untreated. I hope I’ve done justice to it.
