Blood & Bones : Rev(40)
Author: Jeanne St. James

For a second she thought she was having an out-of-body experience and she was floating above their bodies. Because, phew…

Four damn orgasms. A record for her.

She could easily get used to that. But then, at only twenty-eight, Rev still had a lot of gas in his tank.

She collapsed like one of those red, inflatable dancing tube men after someone pulled the plug, and melted into him, his damp, heaving chest a pillow for her cheek. She smiled when his arms wrapped around her and he planted his hands possessively on her ass cheeks, kneading her flesh gently. His quick, ragged breath stirred the hair by her ear.

“Okay, that was much better than my Rabbit.”

Using his fingers, he pulled damp strands of hair away from her face. She tipped it up so she could see his more clearly.

“Much better than my fist. Kinda gettin’ an idea of what a Rabbit is. Would like to watch you use it on yourself.”

“No, you don’t. I promise, it’s not a pretty sight. But it gets the job done when there’s no one else to do it.”

He made a noise deep within his throat.

“Am I crushing you?” she asked. She hoped not since she liked being sprawled on top of him like that. Still connected. Rising and falling with each breath he took.

“No.”

“You’re still hard.”

“Yeah.”

“You won’t be for long.”

“Won’t take me long to recover. Never does. We could knock out a few more of those orgasms I owe you before the night’s over. Then you can work on givin’ me my dozen. I got some ideas…” He gave her a lazy grin.

“I might need some pizza first.”

“Pizza and pussy. Sounds fuckin’ perfect.” He paused. “Reilly…”

“Yeah?”

“Gonna make it clear right now… You ain’t sleepin’ anywhere but in my bed ’til this is over.”

Until what was over? “This trip?”

“Yeah. The time we got here. ’Til we gotta go.”

Ah, yes, until they were back to reality. Right now she was in no hurry to get back there, but reality rushed in when he began to slip from her.

He rolled her back over, finished pulling free and quickly removed the full condom. He knotted the end and tucked it into a take-out napkin on the nightstand. He shifted back into place and stared down into her face.

“I need to clean up,” she whispered.

“In a few. Like where I am.”

“I like where you are, too, but we could share a shower. Do you feel dirty?” She wiggled her eyebrows at him.

“So fuckin’ dirty,” he teased back. “But no point in cleanin’ up yet, you’re gonna get messy again soon.”

“With pizza crumbs?”

He snorted. “Gonna feed you somethin’ and it ain’t pizza.”

Her eyes went wide. “Garlic knots?”

He sighed and rolled off her, snagging his phone off the nightstand. “Christ, woman, let me get you fed before you chew off my damn limbs.”

“It doesn’t mean I’m not hungry for a certain appetizer before the main meal’s delivered.”

He stopped scrolling through his phone and glanced up. “Was gonna pick it up, but you just changed my mind.”

“Delivery has its perks.”

“Sometimes you’re all right, buttercup,” he said as he continued his online search for a local pizza joint. “You might be worth takin’ a couple clubs over the head.”

“Just a couple?”

“Gonna re-evaluate after I get my dozen orgasms.”

“Hopefully you don’t expect them all tonight since you only have two more condoms.”

“Don’t need wraps for some of what I got planned.” He lifted his head, shot her a grin, then put the phone to his ear and ordered pizza.

Hours later, their bellies were full, they were sexually sated and had plans to stop for more condoms on their way to Media the next morning.

The man was like a damn Energizer Bunny. In a short amount of time, he not only paid his debt, he began to bank interest.

Chapter Eleven

After stopping for a big breakfast and a large box of wraps, his Bronco was now backed up to a small storage unit located in Media, about forty minutes from the motel. Reilly had been abnormally quiet for the whole ride and now stood staring at the front of the blue roll-up door with the key in her hand.

She’d been standing there ever since he opened the rear of his truck, so they’d be able to easily load whatever she wanted to keep. Luckily, the storage place had dumpsters to unload anything she deemed not worth hauling home. But with the size of the unit, he couldn’t imagine she had a lot of shit to begin with.

She turned the silver key over and over within her fingers and her bottom lip was crushed between her teeth. Rev plucked the key from her hand and unlocked the padlock.

She blew out a loud breath behind him. “It feels like I’m stepping back into a past life.”

To him, it was simply a storage unit. Unfortunately to her, it was more. “Ain’t a magic door, babe. Ain’t a portal. That fucker will never touch you again. You never got to even say his name. This is just one last piece to deal with so you can finish movin’ on.”

This morning, over coffee and two orders of the Belly Buster Breakfast Special, she had told him that she’d never gone back to her apartment after her hospital stay. Her sister had hired movers to pack up Reilly’s personal shit and put it in storage. Reese had only grabbed some basics from her place before shuttling her off to Mansfield the second Reilly was discharged.

Reese was fucking smart to get her sister the fuck out of the area. Especially after that dangerous fucknut made bail and then ghosted.

It was bad enough the motherfucker had almost snuffed out Reilly’s life, but he’d also stole the little money she had managed to save. She didn’t have much to begin with but after Warren was done, she had nothing. Her bank accounts were scraped clean and her sole credit card maxed out. Since Reese moved Reilly into her house to hide her and keep her safe, Reilly also lost her job and her apartment.

Reese had stepped in and taken care of everything, but then, Deacon’s woman had tight control of her own life and taking care of Reilly wasn’t anything new to her. Reilly might get annoyed at Reese’s smothering sometimes, but her older sister had been there for her from the moment she was born.

She did for Reilly what Rev had wished he had done for Saylor. Taken her from birth and raised her on his own. While Reese had no other choice, Rev had two “functioning” parents and didn’t know things weren’t “normal” until much later. When it was already too late.

“Okay, you can open it now.” She pulled him from his thoughts.

Rev rolled up the door and revealed the interior. He expected it to be packed solid since it was such a small unit. It wasn’t. Besides a few appliances like a toaster oven and a microwave, most of the contents were boxes. For fuck’s sake, none of those fucking boxes were marked.

“Would say we’ll just load everythin’ up, then you and Reese can go through them once we’re back in Manning Grove but all that shit ain’t gonna fit in my Bronco. So, if you want this to be once and done, gonna need you to figure out what you want and what you don’t.”
