I also liked the idea of a marriage of convenience being absolutely wrong for both parties involved! I’ve had so many happy convenience-marriages on Risda that I wanted to show one that wasn’t so great. Bee is using Riffin for the protection a relationship with an alien provides, and Riffin is using Bee for kissing and showing off to his friends. He doesn’t love her - he just loves the status she gives him. Luckily neither party was even close to making it official, so I didn’t feel too bad about breaking them up.
And of course, Mycrul and Victor meet, because they couldn’t NOT meet, right? I liked writing a cozy, domestic little scene because it’s just so different from what you’d expect from two fierce gladiators. But…I like different. :)
At any rate, I sincerely hope you enjoyed Victor and Bee’s story. I’m sure this won’t be the last of them. They’ll be in Port, with Victor standing guard as Bee takes care of business for future heroines. :)
Much love,
Ruby
