To Capture a Thorn (The Society Book 2)(17)
Author: Sam Crescent

“That’s what you get for mixing beer with tequila.”

I dropped my hands and stared up into Mateo’s eyes.

“Morning,” I said. My throat sounded croaky.

“Yeah, that will have to do with you singing at the top of your lungs when I got you in the car. Also, when you’re drunk, do you know you don’t stop talking?” he asked.

My face felt on fire. “You saw all that?”

“I was the one who came and got you both.”

“Oh.” I glanced around the room.

“William’s down in the hallway sleeping it off.”

This made me frown. “Why?”

“He has a history of doing the wrong things. When it comes to drinking, he knows he has to stay in control. He broke the rules, so he doesn’t get a comfy bed. Pain pill and water or just the water?”

I took both. Anything to get rid of this headache and the rancid taste in my mouth. I quickly glanced up. “I threw up last night?”

“You did.”

I was also aware I was in my underwear.

“Dante helped me to get you all cleaned up. Don’t worry, we were perfect gentlemen with you.”

“I know.” I pressed my lips together. The bed smelled like him. It was an odd mix of strong cologne and a hint of spice, kind of like Mateo. “I’m sorry I took your bed.”

“You can have my bed anytime.” He sat down on the edge. “I slept right next to you.”

I looked back and saw the indent on the pillow. “And I didn’t wriggle around too much?”

“Sian, you haven’t moved all night.”

“That’s good.” I didn’t want to hog the bed and take away his fun. “Really good.”

He chuckled. “Did you at least have fun?”

I nodded. “We went to the mall to start with.”

“You didn’t have any shopping with you when I got to you.”

“We didn’t shop. Who brought William’s car home?”

“We’re going to fetch it later today when we know for sure the effects of the alcohol have worn off.”

I finished the water I still had left over. The freshness sliding down my throat was a comfort I wasn’t expecting. It was nice.

With Mateo sitting close to me and knowing he’d seen me naked, not just last night but before, my body hummed for more. This had to be the most inappropriate time to be aroused by a man. Hungover, having thrown up all over him.

“I’m sorry we woke you,” I said.

“Sian, it’s no big deal.” He placed a hand across my legs. His palm rested on the blanket, but I wanted him to touch me.

Staring into his eyes, I couldn’t resist my gaze falling to his lips, and the sudden urge to kiss him was so strong. I put a hand to his cheek and was about to do that, so close, nearly touching, when I remembered. I threw up last night and there was a horrible taste in my mouth.

Putting the glass down on the coaster beside the bed, I pressed a single finger to his lips. “Don’t go anywhere.”

I scrambled out of the bed, rushing toward the bathroom. I searched for a spare toothbrush. I’d noticed in all of their rooms there was always an abundance of clean toothbrushes. I was guessing they saw tooth decay as a real problem. Not that I’d call going to the dentist a picnic.

After quickly brushing my teeth, I splashed cold water on my face and grabbed the brush, running it through my now shortened strands. It had grown a little since someone hacked it off, but not by much.

I wrinkled my nose at the odd ends. Maybe it was time to get it neatened out. To have some life back into it.

For some reason, it felt like Heather approved. I didn’t know if it was because I wanted to think that, or if it was true, but this feeling came over me. It was time to start living. Not just for myself, but for Heather as well.

More importantly, I wanted to live.

With my hair brushed, face fresh, and mouth no longer tasting like stale vomit, I entered the room.

The urge to cover my body was so strong, but I kept my hands at my sides, refusing to hide. Mateo didn’t stare at me in disgust. I saw the heat in his gaze. The guys didn’t have a problem with my fuller body, and to be honest, I loved my curves. It was another part of what Drew tried to instill in me.

My body was my own and I was the one who got to make the choices for me. No one else. To me, this felt entirely powerful.

I loved it.

Walking toward Mateo, I reached down and cupped his cheeks. “Thank you.” Pressing my lips against his, I felt his hands on my waist.

“You don’t need to thank me, Sian. It’s a pleasure doing anything for you.”

“How about I’m kissing you because I want to? Not for payment of services.”

“I will forever be at your service,” he said.

Sinking my fingers into his hair, I kissed him a little harder, and one of Mateo’s hands moved down to cup my ass, squeezing the cheek.

I moaned his name, not wanting to let him go as he held me. I slid down the hand not in his hair, going toward his dick. I felt how hard he was, and I liked it.

I gave him another squeeze, and this time, a moan escaped from his lips.

“Fuck, Sian, you make me want to do a lot of bad things,” he said.

“Then do them,” I said.

“You’re hungover.”

“Not for long.” The pills were already starting to ease my headache. “I want you, Mateo. Do you want me?”

“Fuck, yes,” he said, standing up. He squashed our bodies together with my hand still on his dick. “You feel how much I want you. It’s not going to stop.”

“Then take me, Mateo. I’m yours to be taken.”

He released a growl and within seconds, I was on the bed, my bra and panties on the floor.

Both of his hands went to my tits first, pushing them together, stroking my nipples with his thumbs as he also nipped at each one. I cried out at the pain from his bites, but he knew what he was doing, and that sharp burst of pain soon lessened as he soothed the flesh with his tongue. When he took my nipples into his mouth, one at a time, I felt an answering pull between my thighs. I tried to close them to create some friction, but his body kept them open.

“I’ve got to taste you,” Mateo said. “It has been too long.”

I wasn’t going to argue with him as his lips trailed down toward my aching sex. I wanted to come. No, needed it, craved it, whatever was strong enough to replicate this feeling building deep within my core.

It was a desperation, and as his tongue danced across my wet flesh, I knew I’d died and gone to heaven. No tongue should be that amazing. I moaned his name, not wanting him to stop.

He rewarded me with his tongue licking across my clit, going down to my entrance, circling, and then he pushed inside. It felt so good, but I wanted his cock more than anything.

Then, as if the thought of his cock inspired me, I put my hand on his head, trying to gain his attention. Now with his tongue working my nub, the pleasure rushing through my body, it was hard to make sense of anything.

Fortunately, he stopped. “What’s the matter?” he asked. “Don’t you like it?”

“I love it. I really love it,” I said. Sinking my teeth into my bottom lip, I smiled. “But I really want to suck your cock, Mateo.”
