Head Over Hooves (Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild #5)(26)
Author: Erin Nicholas

For the next hour they wrapped presents and sipped hot chocolate and watched Sarah Jessica Parker and Luke Wilson fall in love. But they finished the gifts before the movie was done. Rory put the last of the boxes onto the pile near her front door, then sat back against the couch, cradling her mug. She watched him for a moment before reaching out and hitting the stop button on her remote.

“I don’t get to see how it ends?” He was actually into it. He wanted to see how all three couples ended up together.

“We can watch the rest later. But I have a question.”

Yes was probably the answer he was going to give this woman, no matter what she asked of him. Drew took a long drink of his hot chocolate trying to keep from reaching over and running his hand up her leg. “Okay.”

“Why don’t you have a girlfriend?”

Okay, he hadn't been expecting that. “I’ve had some girlfriends.”

She smiled. “Yeah, I'm not surprised.”

“Okay.” He turned so he could rest his arm on the couch cushion and face her more fully. “The truth is that I've known most of the women back home that are my age, straight, and who want to date me all of my life. I’ve dated the ones I thought might work out. Just haven’t had the right chemistry with any of them, either before or after dating.”

“Why did the chemistry change after you started dating?”

He took a deep breath. “I think a lot of them had an idea of what I was like, and then we got to know each other, as more than friends, and it turned out I was different than they expected.”

“What did they think you were like?” she asked with a little frown.

“They thought I was the type of guy that you go out with a couple of times, then introduce to your grandmother, then start talking about engagement ring styles, and then check into when the local reception hall has an opening in the calendar.”

“So they saw you as marriage material.”

“Absolutely. I'm from there, have my family business, and a reputation for being a decent, upstanding guy.”

She took another sip of her cocoa watching him over the edge of her cup. “Well, that all makes sense. What was the problem? You don't want to get married?”

“I didn't want to marry someone who…” He wondered how much he should say. Then he realized that if she didn’t like what he was going to say, he didn't have to see her again. And not being open about this was what had cost him a couple of relationships in the past.

He cleared his throat. “I’m not going to marry anyone who I’ve never said the word pussy to, who I’ve never made come on my tongue, and who I can’t imagine covering my cock in chocolate sauce and licking every drop clean.”

Rory didn't even blink. She just sat watching him. Then she ran her tongue over her lower lip.

Drew gave her a little half grin.

“I think the women back home think I’m a good guy, but they can’t imagine being dirty with me. They don’t realize that I’ve got a side that wants to bend my woman over the couch, that wants to finger her in a movie theater and make her come without making any noise, that wants to send her hot texts in the middle of a serious work meeting, that wants to do something naughty with her favorite cocktail so that even when she’s out for a girl’s night, when she takes a drink, her panties get a little wet for me.”

Rory was watching him with wide eyes. But not the scandalized look he’d gotten from Lissa when he’d mentioned the movie-theater thing to her. No, Rory looked turned on.

“My friends think I need to start with the dirty stuff with a woman and then show her my nice-guy side.”

“You didn’t do that with me.” Her voice was a little breathless.

“No. I didn’t.”

“And I’m super into this naughty-with-the-cocktail thing,” she said. “And absolutely yes on the couch, the movie theater, and the texts.”

Drew felt a grin stretch his mouth. “Well, we were dirty in the barn last night.”

“You were so a good guy before that,” she said. “I promise. But I’m still very excited to know more about your dirty side.”

“That can be arranged.” Like right fucking now.

“Good. You have to be with someone who you can be satisfied with. Someone who wants the same things you do. Whether that's a Bassett hound or to go four wheeling on the weekends or who loves Ryan Reynolds movies or who’s cool with nipple clamps.”

Drew felt heat arrow through him and he shifted on the floor, leaning closer to her.

“So, what? You just have good girls who want vanilla sex in the dark back in Iowa?” she asked.

“I doubt it very much,” Drew said truthfully. “But I think the ones who want that stuff, didn’t look at me as the guy to give them the nipple clamps and movie-theater orgasms. And the girls who did want to date me weren’t into that stuff. I shocked a couple of them before I learned to shut up about role-playing and handcuffs.”

“You have a bunch of dumb girls in Iowa.”

He gave a short laugh. “I don't know about that. Just haven’t found the right one to connect with.”

Rory shifted, setting her cup on the table and then moving on to all fours and crawling toward him. She took his cup from his hand and set it on the table as well, then moved to straddle his thighs. She leaned in, took his face between her hands, and pressed her lips to his in a sweet, quick kiss. She leaned back.

“Just so you know, I love chocolate sauce. On pretty much anything.”

He was already hot and hard for her, but he gave her a smile and settled his hands on her hips to keep her from wiggling closer. “You don't have to do this.”

“Do what?”

“You're feeling grateful to me again.”

She laughed. “I am feeling grateful to you. You helping me wrap gifts tonight was a really great thing to do. And the hot cocoa and cookies is to say thank you for that.” She leaned in and put her lips against his again. “The sex is just going to be sex.”

His cock loved that answer, and his fingers instinctively curled into her hips. “Rory,” he said roughly. “Are you sure?”

“Are you kidding?” She brushed her lips over his again. “Even before you did what you did to me in the barn last night, I wanted you. But ever since I had your hands in my pants, I haven’t been able to think of anything else. Yes, I needed to wrap gifts tonight, but in case you didn't know, I brought you up here to seduce you.”

He laughed and then groaned as she wiggled closer, pressing against his cock. “It won't take much seducing, girl.”

“Good.” She reached for something on the sofa cushion behind him, then sat up and pulled a Santa hat on, flicking the white pom pom on the end and making it bounce. “Because I’d really love to hear you say the word pussy to me.”

That was it. One hand went up to cup the back of her head and he brought her in for a full, deep kiss. Their lips fused, their tongues tangled, and Rory's hands gripped his shoulders as he brought her more firmly against his cock.

She ground against him and they kissed hungrily for several long seconds.
