“Stop it.” He chuckled.
“So, what’s going on with Mrs. Patterson’s house over there?” Simon asked.
“I don’t know. I figured I would have seen a for sale sign by now since she passed over a month ago,” Sebastian spoke.
“I heard from Mrs. Randall that she left the house to her granddaughter,” I said. “But you know Mrs. Randall, she can never keep stories straight.
“I didn’t know she had a granddaughter. I’ve never seen anyone over there,” Sebastian spoke.
“Me either, bro. But you would know since you have a better view of her house.”
“Yeah. I always thought it was strange. But then again, she wasn’t the most pleasant person to be around,” Sebastian said. “Umm, guys, who is that beautiful woman that just stepped out onto the patio?”
“Damn,” Simon said. “Maybe she’s a realtor?”
“Or Mrs. Patterson’s granddaughter,” Sebastian said.
She looked over and saw the four of us staring at her.
“Which one of you lives there?” She pointed to Sebastian’s house.
“I do,” he shouted as he raised his hand.
“Are you a quiet neighbor?”
“Yeah. Pretty much.”
“Good to know, neighbor.” She smiled and walked back inside the house.
“Hot damn!” Sebastian grinned. “Did you hear that?”
“Don’t even think about it.” Simon pointed at him. “She’s your neighbor. That’s a recipe for trouble right there.”
“Too late.” A cocky smile crossed his face.
