On the Sweet Side (Wish #3)(39)
Author: Audrey Carlan

Jasper jumped up and down. “Colorado is the best!” He whooped and then screeched, “Bucket list!” Then we high-fived like the children we were in our zealousness to ride on the backs of real motorcycles.

I spun around and pushed my hair out of my face. “We are so ready to take a ride on the wild side.”

“Jesus, you two are nutty,” Kyson chuckled.

Jasper licked his lips and his gaze set on Lincoln, who had the sexiest smile locked on his face. “Um, do you ride a Harley?” Jasper’s question practically dripped with excitement.

“Knock me a kiss on the cheek right here and I’ll tell you,” Lincoln demanded rather boldly, pointing to his cheek.

My mouth dropped open. I left Jasper’s side and made my way to Kyson. He looped his arm around my shoulders and brought me into a hug, dipping his head. “How’s about you knock me a kiss? Been days since I’ve had that mouth, and I’m thirsty, baby,” he whispered against my lips.

I mewled and pressed my hands to his chest, lifted up on the balls of my feet and gave him a kiss. It started with a little peck but turned into a deeper, wetter, delicious kiss I didn’t want to pull away from. Unfortunately, we were in mixed company, so I pulled back. Kyson nibbled on my bottom lip for a second, as if he was loath to leave it, and ran his hand down my back and cupped my tush. “Damn, woman, you got the most perfect mouth.”

I smiled with said mouth and bit into my swollen bottom lip and snuggled into Kyson’s warm chest. I looked at Jasper, whose face was pinched into an expression of being put out by Lincoln’s request.

“I can wait all day for my kiss, Jasper, or you can hurry it up and give me what I want so I can give you what you don’t even know you need. Then we can go eat.”

Jasper narrowed his gaze and did a model-esque walk over to stand in front of Lincoln. Linc did not move his sexy self from the wall, even when Jas put his hands to both sides of Lincoln’s head. Instead of kissing him on the cheek, he went right in for the gusto. His mouth moved over Lincoln’s, who barely got into the change of events and had pushed off the wall to grab hold when Jasper catapulted back, pecked him a couple more times and pranced around his form toward the front of our bakery.

Lincoln groaned and put his hand to his lips to touch them. “That man is going to be the death of me.”

Kyson hugged me tight to his chest. “I actually think that man is going to bring life to your world. You deserve some happiness, Linc. It just pranced out in a poof of color after kissing you stupid.” He laughed.

“Oh, my God! They both have Harleys!” Jasper hollered from the other room, nowhere near hiding his glee.

“Come on, babe. Let me and my brother take you and yours for a ride.”

* * *

Riding on the back of a motorcycle with my front plastered to Kyson’s back was intoxicating. The wind in my hair, the darkening horizon in front of us and the open road and the rev of the engine between my thighs were beyond pleasurable. It was downright Nirvana. I never wanted it to end.

The guys must have known we were into it in a big way because they gave us a full thirty-minute ride. If I didn’t think I would have killed myself, I would have busted out my phone and taken a picture of Jasper. The smile on his face, the contentment he had with his cheek pressed to Lincoln’s back, his arms wrapped around the much larger man, made my heart jump for joy. No man on this earth deserved happiness more than Jasper Prince.

He not only gave love, he also was love. Pure. Honest. Beautiful love. The way all people should love one another in my opinion. It was a gift. His gift. I was just thrilled to be one of the people he shared it with. And secretly, I hoped maybe Lincoln could end up being one of those people, too.

Kyson followed Lincoln’s bike into a parking lot. There was a line of bikes parked right in front of the shack-like building on the outskirts of town.

When Kyson parked and put his feet down to steady the bike, I tugged off the helmet he’d made me wear and let the rest of my hair fall free and wild, just the way he told me he liked. I wore jeans, a black tank that said “Bad Ass” in hot pink glitter across the boobs that I’d picked up in Suda Kaye’s shop, a pair of dangling silver earrings, my mom’s bracelet on one wrist and, luckily, a pair of black leather wedges. I wasn’t one hundred percent biker babe, but I felt as though I could pull it off.

Jasper, on the other hand, was not in the least.

“Are we at a biker bar?” I inhaled and waited until Kyson turned his head.

“Yeah, babe, they have the best beer and pizza around. See that pizza joint attached?” He pointed to the building next to the bar that seemed to have a breezeway connecting the two. “You can get whatever you want from inside the bar, too. Also, I can try to kick your ass at pool since you kicked mine at shuffleboard last week.”

I grinned then looked at my best friend, who was still hugging Lincoln from behind, eyes closed as though he was sleeping and having a peaceful, pleasant dream.

Lincoln looked at me and winked but didn’t make any moves to get up. Guess he was content with my best friend plastered to his back.

   Yay!

I kept my delight to myself. “Um, how do I get off?” I frowned and looked down at all the hot metal near my feet.

“Put your hands on my shoulders and then swing your leg around and off. Can you do that?”

I chuckled. “Without eating road? Maybe, but I wouldn’t count on it.” I was sorta teasing, but mostly I was worried I’d face-plant after I slipped and fell off or burn my leg on one of the pipes.

As I was considering my options, checking both sides before making my grand exit, Kyson stood up, turned his torso around and plucked me at the waist. He lifted me up and off the bike as though I weighed as much as a child. I most certainly did not weigh anything remotely close to that of a kid.

My surprised squeal brought Jasper out of his motorcycle trance.

“My pretty boy likes to ride. This pleases me greatly,” Lincoln growled, and I’m not gonna lie, I, too, felt a little shiver at his sexy alpha words.

“Oh, I ride, and do it very well.” Jasper’s statement sounded a whole heck of a lot like a promise.

Lincoln obviously agreed when he said, “Looking forward to experiencing that...soon.”

Jasper pursed his lips and flounced off the bike like the queen he was.

Punk. How’d he do that without even thinking about it?

“Izzy, was that not fabulous!” Jasper’s clear blue eyes lit with joy.

   “Absolutely amazing.”

Jasper and I spent a few minutes hashing out our favorite parts, nattering on like little girls until finally, Kyson broke our huddle with an ear-splitting whistle.
