You’re ready now? Wonderful.
From the beginning, I said this was a dark journey, a dark romance, a dark past, present, and quite possibly future for these characters. That said, this ending is way more a WTFhanger than it is a CLIFFhanger.
I get it, you have a lot of questions. Trust me, so do Liam, Jasper, Kellan, Vaughn, Doc, and Milo. Freddie and Rome know her story and she knows Freddie’s. So they have far fewer questions—right now.
The characters in this series have always been on a collision course. We’re seeing some of those impacts right now between Lainey being with the Vandals and eventually reuniting with Emersyn. We’re seeing it with how Ezra went after Liam because he has no idea where Adam or Lainey are. We’re seeing it in how Kellan, Vaughn, and Jasper, specifically, but the rest of the Vandals aren’t following Milo’s lead in this anymore.
So, what happens next?
For me? I’m working on the next book already, I’m also working on finishing up the Untouchable series. I probably need to take a couple of days off but I’m kind of a workaholic.
