Secrets (Brantley Walker : Off the Books #6)(60)
Author: Nicole Edwards

Molly: Good morning, Sebastian. I woke up thinking about you. How much I miss you. How I look forward to seeing you.

Even before he’d learned the truth, Baz had started to wonder if the woman was insane. She sent him text messages like that all the damn time, despite the fact he had never led her on.

As he was staring at the screen, another text message came in.

Molly: I see you’ve read my message. No response?

That had become her new thing about a month ago. Her phone would tell her when he had read her text, and she would immediately respond if he didn’t. It was the very reason he would ignore many of them throughout the day, not wanting her to blow up his phone.

Figuring if he didn’t respond, the texts would just keep coming, so he shot a quick message back: I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to be texting me anymore.

He watched the little dots bounce as she was typing.

Molly: What? Why? That’s not fair. Are you denying your love for me now? You love me, Sebastian. I know you do.

Ah, shit. It looked as though responding was the last thing he should’ve done.

Chapter Twenty-Five

“Who was that?”

Trey glanced over his shoulder to see Magnus rolling onto his back, his arm sliding over his eyes to block out the light Trey had turned on.

“My brother. Reese is in the hospital.”

Magnus peeked out from under his arm, frowned. “Is he all right?”

Trey honestly didn’t know. After he’d talked to Baz, Trey had called his brother directly, insulted that Brantley hadn’t made the effort. He hadn’t appreciated getting the news secondhand, and he told Brantley as much. Of course, Brantley being Brantley, he’d been curt, not willing to answer questions, as though his only objective was to relay the information, not go into detail.

“He’s awake, that’s all I know.”

“Well, that sounds like good news.”

Yeah, if he wasn’t in the intensive care unit, maybe.

“I’m gonna grab a shower, then head up there,” he informed Magnus as he pushed to his feet.

It took effort to walk away from the naked man in his bed. Despite his worry for Reese, Trey wasn’t ready for the night with Magnus to be over. He had enjoyed the hell out of having him here, even if he wouldn’t let Magnus know that.

What he didn’t understand was why Magnus was still there. That wasn’t their routine. On the nights Magnus would come over, he was always gone before Trey woke up the next morning, and he’d gotten used to waking up alone. Odd thing was, he was glad Magnus hadn’t pulled his disappearing act, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to accept it yet.

After padding to the bathroom, he flipped on the shower. While the water heated, he brushed his teeth and shaved his face. He didn’t waste time, getting into the shower as soon as he was finished.

Once he was concealed behind the opaque glass, he heard the water in the sink come on, followed by some moving around. He waited to see if Magnus would say anything, and when he didn’t, he sighed, focused on sudsing himself up, rinsing off.

A few minutes later, he heard the click of the glass door opening. Trey turned beneath the warm spray of water to see Magnus stepping inside. It wasn’t a big space, but clearly that wasn’t a problem, because Magnus stepped up to him, pressing their chests together.

“I figured you were in a hurry. Thought we could get this out of the way now.”

When Magnus’s hands glided up his arms, then over his shoulders, Trey groaned. He fucking enjoyed the hell out of Magnus’s touch. More than he probably should.

The taste of mint and man exploded when Magnus’s mouth fused with his. Trey didn’t hesitate, pulling him even closer and holding him tightly to him.

“Have I mentioned how much I like when you manhandle me?” Magnus muttered against his mouth.

Those lips trailed along his jaw, down his neck, and Trey groaned in response. “Do you?”

“God, yes.”

When Magnus went to his knees before him, Trey fisted his hair—who was he to deny the man his pleasure?—holding him firmly in place as he relaxed against the wall.

He watched as Magnus eagerly took his cock in his mouth as though his greatest thrill was sucking Trey’s dick. The man was damn good at it, Trey knew that much. The way he worked him with his tongue, careful to avoid using his teeth. Most impressive was how deep Magnus could take him into his throat.

But it was the eye contact that always captivated Trey. The way Magnus stared up at him, as though gauging his reactions to ensure he was doing what he needed to do.

“Magnus,” he groaned in warning, pumping his hips, tightening his grip on Magnus’s hair. “Goddamn, that feels good.”

If it weren’t for the fact they didn’t have a condom, Trey would’ve yanked Magnus to his feet and impaled his ass. Instead, he let the sensations of that skilled mouth work him closer and closer to the edge.

“You look so fuckin’ good with my dick in your mouth,” he growled, still holding Magnus’s gaze. “Take all of me.” Trey groaned low in his throat when Magnus took him to the root. “Fuck yes. Just like that.”

Trey rolled his hips slowly, sinking deep into Magnus’s throat a few times, holding back the release that was building.

“Ah, hell,” he ground out, retreating slowly then beginning to fuck Magnus’s mouth in earnest, holding out for as long as he could, because not only did it feel fucking amazing but he liked the connection he felt with the man. When they were intimate, there was nothing between them. The outside world faded away. No worries, no cares. Only this.

Trey grunted, taking control, holding Magnus’s head still as he fucked into his throat. He let out a garbled roar when his orgasm ripped through him, Magnus swallowing every drop.

He should’ve been replete, sated. Only he wasn’t ready for this to be over. He wasn’t ready for Magnus to walk out that door. He wanted a few more minutes even if he couldn’t tell the man that. Instead of focusing on the shower and getting on with his day, Trey jerked Magnus to his feet and crushed their mouths together.

Pinning Magnus to the wall, Trey reached between them, curling his fingers around Magnus’s thick, hot shaft and stroking firmly. Magnus writhed beneath the onslaught, moving against Trey, his tongue thrusting into his mouth while Trey swallowed every moan, every groan.

Although he would’ve enjoyed watching Magnus come, Trey didn’t stop kissing him. He was bruising them both, he knew, but he didn’t care. It was exquisite and necessary.

And when Magnus gripped his head tightly, crying out as he came, Trey swallowed that down, too, consuming everything the man would give him.

“Christ Almighty, what was that?” Magnus asked when Trey finally released him.

“Sorry.”

“Fuck. Don’t be sorry. Promise to do it again.”

Trey shook his head, stepping beneath the spray once more. He would never understand Magnus. The guy took everything Trey was willing to give him without complaint. And the fact that he’d made the trip to Dallas simply for a night of sex meant this was turning into something more. Something Trey had no interest in. The idea of getting hurt by one more man didn’t sit well with him, and Trey was willing to avoid it at all costs.
