I put my sisters in danger by trusting him.

“Miss Ivankov?”
A male voice jolts me and I jump away from the side of the building. My eyes rake over his outfit…aqua scrubs under a white jacket and a surgical mask covering his mouth.
“Yes?” I squeak out, swiping at the tears under my eyes. “My sister just went into surgery a few minutes ago. Is everything okay with her?”
His hardened gaze roots me to the spot, my mouth paralyzed with fear. With one hand, he pulls his mask down revealing a twisted grimace. “That depends on you.”
Tires squeal across the pavement around the corner of the emergency room and I choke on a gasp, swiveling around to see a black sedan screech to a halt next to us. A strong hand grips the back of my hair and my eyes widen as the barrel of a gun comes into my periphery.
“As I was saying,” the doctor imposter growls. “Get the fuck in the car or I can guarantee that something will go drastically wrong while your sister is lying on that operating table.” He lifts a thick, dark eyebrow. “Your choice. Your life or hers.”
