Saved by Love (Bellevue Bullies #7)(53)
Author: Toni Aleo

When it’s hard to see, I know it’s time. “I’m almost there,” I grit out, and she lifts off me, sitting on my thighs and taking ahold of my cock. She lowers her mouth and sucks me, hard, fast, and within seconds, I’m arching off the bed, so deep in her throat, I’m sure I black out as I come. A guttural yell leaves my lips as I grip the bedsheet, and every part of me goes tense. She sucks me until I’m practically dead. Really. I’m dead. I have to be. How could I ever recover from this girl?

I slump into the pillows, my eyes closed tightly as my heart bangs into my chest.

I’m met with her laughter, and I can’t help but smile. “Yes, what every guy enjoys, a girl laughing at him as he comes.”

She lies on top of me, stroking her fingers through my hair before kissing my lips. “You’re so damn cute.”

“I am?” I ask, opening my eyes to see her flushed, gorgeous face.

“Oh yes,” she says, kissing my nose. “I love sex with you. It’s so much fun, teaching you and learning what makes you squeal.”

I eye her. “Aren’t I supposed to make you squeal?”

She grins. “And you do, but I’ve never had fun during sex before you. Not only am I having a blast, but I swear, I’ve never come this much in my life.”

I move her hair out of her eyes, tucking it behind her ears. “So, it’s not the same with everyone?” I ask honestly and with no fear of judgment.

She leans her head into my hand. “No. It may be the same basic act, but you know, not everyone is the same.”

“True. I guess that was silly to ask.”

“Not at all,” she says, kissing my lips. “But I’m just letting you know now, no one is as good as me, so don’t even try to go find out,” she warns, and then she grins before kissing me again.

I grin against her lips and wrap my arms around her, holding her close as we get lost in each other’s kisses. I know it’s silly to think such a thing, but I really don’t want to find out what sex is like with someone else. I’ve listened to Owen describe his sexual encounters so many times, and it never meant anything to him until the first time he was with Angie. He went on for hours and hours about how the curve of her hip drove him insane. A hip. He had been with so many girls, but not one of them could compare to Angie’s hip. Now look at them, love-sick with each other, just as I am with Callie.

After taking a shower and getting our overnight bags from the car, we fall into bed with Friends on for background noise. I’ve always loved this show, and it was fun to find out that Callie loves it too. We’ve watched a lot of Friends lately. I almost feel bad for all the things that used to be Owen’s and mine that are now becoming Callie’s and mine, but at the same time, I know he’d want this for me.

Callie cuddles into my side as I run my fingers along her hip, and I feel whole. The ordeal of what happened at the pond earlier is still heavy on my mind. I can’t believe I overcame such a strong fear, one that has been haunting me for months. But I know it was Callie. I think it’s her eyes; they give me such hope and courage. Where was she when I was suffering back in South Carolina? Maybe if I’d had her to lean on, I wouldn’t have quit the NHL. But quickly, I remind myself that’s not true. As much as I hate to give the thought light, I don’t think I was meant to be a pro. Or maybe I was, but only for a bit. Just long enough to get Owen settled and happy. Who knows. The journey God gives us is His own.

I’m just thankful mine now includes Callie by my side.

“Cal,” I say, and she looks up at me, her eyes still so hooded and hot. “I love you.”

Her lips turn up instantly, and her eyes brighten. “I love you.”

Our lips meet, and I know it’s true; I don’t want anyone else.

I only want Callie.

Evan

“Callie, I’m following the directions.”

She gives me a sideways, annoyed look. “And I’m telling you, my way is faster.”

We’ve been bickering, or really, she’s been snippy with me since we woke up. I know she’s hungry, but she’s the one who said she’d rather just get on the road. I even offered fast food, but no, she wanted to get home. “I feel the GPS knows better.”

She crosses her arms. “If I were driving, I wouldn’t need the GPS.”

“Would you like to drive?” I ask, and she just grumbles. She said herself that it’s nice to have someone drive so she can play on her phone. Plus, she has to send out a few emails to teachers and stuff, so she wanted to get that done.

“No. I just want you to listen to me.”

“I’d rather listen to the GPS so we don’t get lost and more of an argument ensues.”

“Whatever,” she snaps, crossing her arms and leaning back in the seat. “Do what you want.”

“I will,” I say, chancing a glance. She’s so cute when she’s annoyed. There is a wrinkle in her forehead, and her lips are pursed, all sexy-like. “You better quit before I pull this damn car over and kiss you.”

Her eyes cut to me, and they are killer. “The audacity to think I’d kiss you when you don’t listen to me. Please.”

With that, I swerve roughly to the side of the road, making her cry out, and her phone goes tumbling to the center console. Her eyes are wide as she yells, “Evan! Are you crazy? You could have tipped my—”

I don’t let her finish; I take her by my hoodie and kiss her midsentence. She tries to pull back but not enough to really stop me. Soon, her body relaxes as our lips move together, our tongues teasing each other. When I pull back, her mouth is slack and her eyes stay closed. I kiss her top lip as her eyes start to open, and I say, “I told you.”

She presses her lips together before touching her fingers to them. “I think you bit me.”

“I did,” I say, low and dangerous. “And you’ve got one more chance before I kiss that sass right out of your ass.”

Her lips turn up into a small smirk as she holds my gaze.

“Now, Calliope, do you want me to stop at Starbucks?”

“That would be nice. Thank you.”

“No problem.”

I don’t miss her muttering, “But make sure your GPS allows it.”

I roll my eyes and continue to pull back onto the road, shaking my head. Pain in the ass, I swear. After a few moments, she says, “I hate arguing with you. You’re so damn calm all the time.”

I laugh. “You have to remember, I have two older sisters, a twin, and a younger brother who all think they’re right all the time. I have learned that being calm and quiet makes the other person madder.”

“I hate it.”

“Good,” I say, grinning. “Maybe you won’t argue with me over stupid shit.”

“Or maybe you should just listen to me.”

I scoff. “Nope. I’ll just annoy you with my silence at the pure fact that you’re being difficult.”

Oh, if looks could kill. “I’m being difficult?”

“Yes, because you’re hungry and probably need a coffee, which I am getting you so this ride won’t be a clusterfuck.”
