Reckless Truths (Lost Kings MC #21)(20)
Author: Autumn Jones Lake

Nice try, Z, but you’re going to be wearing a Downstate rocker.

Sway might have taken the bullet to the head, but it’s my club that’s getting torn apart.

CHAPTER TEN

Charlotte

Marcel’s been downstate, helping Z sort through things for weeks while Sway’s in the hospital recovering. I want to be a good ol’ lady, support the club and all that, but I miss him. Heidi and I have gone downstate almost every weekend to spend time with the guys and help Lilly adjust to her new role as the president’s ol’ lady. But now I’m behind on work and need to catch up.

I’m obsessing over my notes for an upcoming trial when the front door to my office opens. My gaze jumps to my calendar. No appointments.

“Sunshine, I’m home!”

“Marcel?” I jump out of my chair and hurry around my desk. I’d kicked off my heels earlier and my tights stick to the carpet as I run.

In the hallway, I stop and stare.

Marcel’s long legs eat up the distance. He crashes into me somewhere in the middle. He lifts me against his body, holding me tight.

“Are you really home for good?” I murmur against his bristly cheek.

“Fuck, I missed you so much,” he whispers. His lips collide with mine. I curl my arms around his neck and melt into him.

“Missed you too,” I whisper. “I hate sleeping without you next to me.”

“Is that all you miss?” His mouth quirks as he sets me on my feet.

“No.” I wrap my arms around his waist, unwilling to release him even for a second. “I miss that soft snoring you do when you’re really sound asleep.”

“I don’t snore.”

Laughing, I push him away. “Seriously, are you home now?”

“Yeah, Sunshine. Z has his crew under control. If I stay any longer, it’s gonna start to undermine him.”

“True.” I lace my fingers with his and pull him toward my office. “It was good for Downstate to see how much you guys support him, but eventually they’ll wonder if he can handle it or not.”

He squeezes my hip. “You always get it.”

“Bikers aren’t all that hard to understand.” My mouth quirks. “Respect few, fear none, covers a lot of different situations.”

His snort of amusement fills the hollow space in my chest, and I hug him again. “I’m so happy you’re home. My brother will be happy to see you too.”

“Yeah? He wasn’t relieved I wasn’t around to corrupt his tender mind?”

“No.” I flash a quick smile. “Well, maybe.”

“I owe him. He was a big help to Heidi and Lilly. I think Lilly’s upset he won’t be coming down to help out anymore. Chance is going to miss him too.”

We cross the threshold into my office. I close and lock the door behind us.

Marcel’s mouth twitches at the corners. “What are you doing?”

“Welcoming you home.”

“Take your clothes off for me.”

“Here?” I play with the silk bow of my blouse. “Now?”

“Here and now.” He steps closer and leans against my desk. “Right here in front of me.” He kicks one of my chairs to the side and points to the floor.

An excited shiver races over my skin. The heat in his eyes. The gruff commands. In my office, in the middle of the day. It’s almost too much. Still, I take my time sauntering close to the spot he pointed out. Can’t give him what he wants too soon.

“Stop trying to tease me, Charlotte.”

I tug at one end of the silk bow at my neck. “You have a lot of nerve.”

“Yeah, about nine inches of it.” He palms his crotch and his mouth slides into a cocky smirk.

“You barge into my office in the middle of the day, expecting a striptease?”

“I expect much more than a tease, Sunshine.” He raises one blond eyebrow, challenging me to continue.

One by one, I slip the buttons loose, watching his face. The way his teeth sink into his bottom lip flips my stomach.

“Good.” He drags out the word until I feel it sliding over my skin. “That’s nice.”

I slide the blouse down my shoulders and drape it over the back of a chair.

“Very nice,” he praises.

“Are you planning to stand there and watch me all day? Or are you going to actually do something?”

His nostrils flare. I’m poking the right buttons

“Get on your desk.”

“What?”

He walks me behind the desk and pushes me until I’m perched on the edge of it. His hands slide under my skirt, hiking it up around my waist. “You won’t be needing these.” He strips my tights off, carefully rolling them down my legs, and sits in my chair.

I reach behind me and slide my papers and notepads to the side, then hop all the way onto the desk.

“Nice.” Marcel pushes my skirt higher, hooks his fingers in my panties, and drags them down my legs, dropping them on the desk. “Scooch back.”

My bare butt sticks to the glossy wood top but I inch back until he’s satisfied.

“Lie down.”

He curls one hand around my calf and guides one of my feet to the edge of the desk, then the other. “Spread wider.” He touches my knees, gently parting them.

“Fuck, I’ve missed having your pussy in my face.” He grins up at me.

“You have a lot of mornings to make up for.” I reach down, running my fingers through his hair, scraping my nails over his scalp.

He closes his eyes and shivers with pleasure. “I do. Gonna have you bouncing on my dick every chance I get.”

“No bunnies bounced on you, right?” I ask quietly.

His eyes pop open. Hurt, anger, and surprise all flicker over his face. “Don’t even fuckin’ joke about that.” He grips my thighs harder and leans in to slowly flick his tongue over my clit. “I don’t think I’m going to let you come now. Or at all.”

“That’s mean.”

“So was your question.”

Feeling too raw and vulnerable spread out before him, skirt up around my waist, bottom half on display, I struggle to sit up.

He rises, placing his palm against my sternum, and presses me down on my desk. “Where do you think you’re going?”

“Let me up.”

“No.”

Oh, Jesus. I shouldn’t be this turned on right now. The fire in his eyes, the harsh rasp of his voice, his big hands pinning me in place. All of it ratchets up my desire.

He leans over me and nips my earlobe. “If you want to be restrained, just ask me nicely. Don’t say things to piss me off.”

“I didn’t mean to,” I whisper. I should apologize but can’t form the words.

“I’m still not letting you come.” His gaze searches the area behind me. “You have another outfit here?”

“Yes—”

He stalks behind me and picks up my discarded blouse.

“What are you doing?”

“Quiet.”

Somewhere, my brain says I should be outraged.

He jerks my blouse under my body, working it to my shoulders, then tangling it around my arms. “What are you doing?” I twist and try to sit up again.
