TRUST(44)
Author: Deborah Bladon

She shakes her head. “None of them really. I like their work. I admire it, but I’m not going because of any of them.”

I scrub a hand over my forehead. “What am I missing here, London? What has got you so excited about this movie?”

“I want to surprise my family.” Her blue eyes shine bright. “I’m one of the composers of the score. A piece I wrote is in the movie.”

CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

Ava

I’ve held onto that news for months.

My professors and classmates know, but I wanted to shock my family by telling them as soon as my composition starts playing partway through the film.

“Ava.” Harrison wraps his big arms around me to pull me close to him. “I’m so fucking happy for you. This is phenomenal.”

“It is,” I say, sliding my hands under his suit jacket to touch his back. “I didn’t know it was one of my dreams until it came true.”

He glances down at my face. “Tell me everything. Tell me how this happened and when I can see this movie.”

I laugh. “Some of the people I go to school with were making extra money by composing instrumentals, recording them, and then offering them for downloading on streaming services.”

“That makes sense.”

I nod. “There’s a recording studio in London that you can rent by the hour, so we’d all pitch in and help each other out by gathering there a couple of times a month.”

Harry smiles. “You all worked together?”

“We did.” I step back further. “Some of my pieces started to get downloaded, and then it kind of just took off. One day a woman contacted me through the site. She’s a movie producer. They were looking for an original piano composition for the score.”

“Wow.” His hand rubs his jaw. “This is fucking amazing.”

“So amazing,” I agree. “I worked on something I thought would fit the movie, and they chose another new composer and me.”

“Ava.” His eyes lock on mine. “I’m so fucking proud of you.”

That means more to me than it should, but I want him to be proud of me.

“I was there when it was recorded in London.” I close my eyes. “It was the most surreal moment of my life. I felt like I was floating on air or living in a dream. I still have to pinch myself to believe it’s happening.”

“It’s happening,” he reassures me.

“Yes.” I look into his eyes and throw caution to the wind. “You should come with us on Friday, Harry. I’d love it if you were there.”

He stares into my eyes, and I brace myself for what I suspect is coming.

I’ll have to explain to Sean why Harry is there, but I know I can come up with something. I’m just not sure Harry would be on board for that.

“I can tell Sean that I ran into you and mentioned the movie,” I toss out possible scenarios to explain Harry’s presence during the most significant moment of my life. “Or we can say that you happened to be there to see the movie.”

His hand moves to touch my chin. “I’ll be there, Ava. This is too important for me to miss.”

“You’re sure?” I ask in disbelief because I had braced myself for him to turn me down. “You’re not worried about what Sean will think?”

He shakes his head. “I’ll do whatever I need to do to be there for you.”

I bounce up to my tiptoes to kiss his mouth softly. “Now, I’m even more excited than I was before.”

He reaches for my waist, holding me close to him as he stares into my eyes. “Thank you for including me in this.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I say before I kiss him again.

“Your sweet pussy was made for me,” Harrison growls as he slides the tip of his sheathed cock over my cleft.

With heavy-lidded eyes, I watch his expression as he stares at my body.

He went down on me as soon as we were both undressed.

I begged him to fuck me, but he insisted on tasting me first. It was pure heaven feeling his tongue and teeth, and when he moaned as he lapped at me, I lost it. I came hard, gripping his head and screaming his name.

“Fuck me,” I whisper.

His gaze darts to my face. “Say it again, London.”

“Fuck me,” I say louder this time.

“Again.” He groans as he pushes the wide crown inside.

I stall on a moan because it feels that good. He’s long, thick, and larger than anyone I’ve been with. When he’s fucked me, I felt the ache for hours after. I crave that feeling now.

He pulls out, and I whimper. “Harry, please.”

“Please,” he repeats. “Please fuck you hard?”

“Yes,” I cry out in a breathless rush. “I want that.”

His hands grip my hips as he drives into me with one merciless thrust.

“Ava.” My name leaves his lips like an oath as if he’s promising me that he’ll give me exactly what I want.

He does. Each pump of his hips is deeper than the last, and as we ride the crest together, I whisper something that I’ve never said to any man before, “I love you.”

He’s too lost in his own pleasure to hear me, but I feel the words echo within me as I let go, knowing that I’ll never forget this moment or this man.

CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO

Harrison

“Hey, Harry!” Sean calls to me as I step out of the door of the building that houses my office.

I turn to see him on the approach.

I spent the night with his sister, and even though I’ve put in a full day at the office, I haven’t been able to forget how she looked when I got out of her bed early this morning.

She was half-awake, her hair a tousled mane on the pillow. Her lips were swollen from my teeth. I latched onto them when I came for the second time. Everything blurred at that moment except what I felt inside.

I fell in love with Ava Wells last night, and soon, I’ll have to let her go.

“Sean.” I raise a hand in greeting. “What are you doing here?”

“Looking for you.” He chuckles. “You’ve been busy.”

I throw that back at him. “So have you. How’s Callie?”

“Good.” He nods. “The pregnancy is going great. No issues at all. In fact, we’re going to tell my folks on Friday. They’re flying in for a quick visit.”

I nod like I don’t have a fucking clue that they’re headed north.

He motions for us to walk, so I fall in step beside him. He clears his throat. “Ava has her heart set on us all going to a movie on Friday night. You should tag along.”

My head snaps in his direction. “What? Why?”

If Sean had any inkling of what I’ve been doing with Ava, he’d have me up against a wall. He sure as fuck wouldn’t be inviting me to a family gathering.

“Lauren Adams is starring in it.” He laughs. “Remember how hard we were crushing on her in high school? It would be a hoot to go to the movies together again.”

I should point out that he had the crush, and it lasted all of one day when we saw her in her debut role, but I want to be there for Ava. If this is the route I need to take to get there without him suspecting anything, I’m in.
