Falcon (Deathstalkers MC #2)(28)
Author: Elizabeth Knox

“Yes.” Every ounce of desperation I feel weaves itself through my voice, and I nod, lifting my hips up slightly in encouragement. He groans as he reaches between us and grabs his cock, rubbing it against my clit. My fingers dig into his shoulders, and I close my eyes, lost in the sensations swarming me.

“Open your eyes, baby,” he orders, and they pop right open, meeting his molten gaze. “I want to see the look on your gorgeous face when I slide my cock inside you for the first time.”

He doesn’t even give me time to respond before he lines himself up at my entrance and gently fills me. I moan, never once taking my eyes off him as my body stretches to accommodate his impressive length, and I understand what he meant about watching me because the look of wonder, love, and absolute bliss on his face is something I want to see again and again. For the rest of my damn life.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Falcon

It’s been a few days since I confessed my feelings to Hermoine, and then the two of us had the most delicate, sensual sex I’ve ever had in my life. I found myself literally making love to a woman when I don’t think I’ve ever really done it before. I know how to fuck, naturally. You aren’t in the club lifestyle and don’t know how to get your rocks off or pleasure a woman. I thankfully managed to do both, but I did it so differently than I normally do.

There wasn’t any pounding into her or ramming into her. There were only soft, delicate movements. She was raped when she was taken, so the last thing I wanted to do was be rough or remind her of anything that happened while she was at that motel. I think I did a good job of keeping her mind from rolling back to that awful place, but I don’t know for sure. It’s not like I’d bring it up because I refuse to make her talk about it. A lot of times, they say people talking about their issues is helpful, but I’m not a therapist.

“You good, Prez?” Hawk asks, pulling me from my internal thoughts.

We’re at a local diner called Dolly’s. Sometimes the two of us like to get out of the clubhouse and away from everyone in it. Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself growing increasingly frustrated with my brothers, and while I do love them, they’ve irked me to no end recently. Especially Rajah and Horseman. I can’t believe they let Hermoine slip away from them like that. I don’t know if I’ve forgiven them for that fuck up just yet. They’ll likely have to earn it, and I don’t think they’ve paid enough. I know one day they’ll know the same fear and anger I felt, but only when they have women in their lives that they love just as much.

“Yeah, just got a lot of shit on my mind,” I tell Hawk as I dig my fork into my maple syrup-soaked pancakes. As I pop them into my mouth, I remember what my mother used to say to me as a child. She made pancakes nearly every morning, and she always told me that if I didn’t put the butter on first how the pancake police would come for me. It seems silly now, but back then, I was terrified of the pancake police. I guess I thought they were a different sort of unit, kind of like how there’s SWAT, patrol, game wardens, etc.

“I don’t blame you, man. I did hear some shit goin’ down in your room last night, though. Walls might be thick, but sometimes the walls are paper thin. Last night was one of those nights, my man,” Hawk smirks at me, and I know he heard Hermoine and I. Or at least he heard something. We weren’t overly loud, but my bedframe is a bit older. I know there was some squeaking last night. Maybe that’s what tipped him off. “You and Hermoine finally make things official between the two of you?”

“Official? I’m not sure. Known and out in the open? Yeah. I’m not sure what we are just yet, but there’s been so much goin’ on. I’m sure soon we’ll have an actual discussion about it.”

“She’s the type of woman I can see you makin’ an ol’ lady,” Hawk tells me as he finishes another sip of coffee.

“Me too. Truth is, I held back my feelings for her for a long time. I thought I’d ruin the great friendship we had between the two of us, and I didn’t want to do that. It didn’t seem worth the risk, honestly.”

Hawk furrows his brows together before he laughs. “Sometimes the most important things in our lives are worth the risk.”

I never thought about it like that, but Hawk isn’t wrong. Maybe my VP has some good advice to dish out from time to time. “Never thought about it like that.”

“A lot of people don’t. They see the warning, and they must tell themselves, ‘nope, not gonna do it’. Sometimes I think fear controls too much of people’s lives.”

Shit, I doubt he knows it, but I feel a little called out right now. My fear has been controlling how much I’ve been watching over Hermoine and how much I’ve had my brothers watching over her too. “Sometimes it can, but it’s never bad to be on the side of caution. Sometimes we have to be cautious, or else it could cost us our lives or someone we love.”

“You’re not wrong about that. We’ve seen it time and time again,” Hawk has been by my side for a long time. Truth be told, there’s no one else I trust more than him. Kinetic comes in as a close second, but no one will ever compare to Hawk. Without him, I doubt I could lead the club the way I have all these years.

Hawk and I finish eating our breakfast when an older town local, Mrs. Hannigan, comes over to us. “Well, hello there, gentlemen. Maybe you can do me a favor and let your boys know, who didn’t wave back at me this morning, that they were awfully rude. One even stuck up his middle finger, and there’s no excuse for that!”

I’m taken aback by Mrs. Hannigan’s words. “One of my guys did that to you?”

“They sure did! I take it you’ll have a stern talking to with them, so they don’t do it again. I’ve only ever been nice to the group of you, and I know you boys love those Christmas cookies I make every year. It’s starting to make me reconsider even baking them for you.”

“Oh, Mrs. Hannigan, I’ll deal with it as soon as I get back to the clubhouse. I’ll personally see to it.”

“Good. I’ll be seeing you boys around then,” Mrs. Hannigan says before walking over to a booth with a whole bunch of older women. She’s smiling as soon as she sits down with her friends, and the waitress comes over shortly after.

I dig out my wallet and put two twenty-dollar bills on the table. “I want to get back to the club and figure out who the fuck it was that was an ignorant shit to Mrs. Hannigan.”

“Don’t blame you. I’ll personally lay a punch for even threatening my Christmas cookies. Those powdered ones she makes are delicious,” Hawk adds, and I cackle. There’s nothing more important to him than getting some good food around the holidays.

The two of us leave Dolly’s and head back for the clubhouse. We’re there in about ten minutes, and every single bike is accounted for except Rajah and Horseman. They’re with Hermoine at The Java Zone right now.

As soon as we get off our bikes, my phone rings, so I, of course, look to see who it is. Even though I have something to deal with, with the club right now, I can’t ignore my mother’s call. “Hello?” I say into the receiver.
