“Very logical.” Gabi held up a pair of aqua-blue kitten ears.

 

“Perfect.”

 

Handing over the ears, Gabi shook her head. “I guess I’m the bouncy type. I love being a puppy.” She held out a soft harness-looking set of ribbons. “These are how you attach a tail. I think this method is more secure than a clip-on, and I’m guessing you wouldn’t want an anal plug.”

 

“Ah…no.” Murphy’s ass cheeks clenched. “No plug.”

 

“There here. The O-ring goes in the back at the top of your butt—where your tail would be.”

 

“Okay.” Setting the metal ring at the top of her buttocks, Murphy tied the waistband then a set of ribbons around each upper thigh. “Now what?”

 

“Turn around.” Gabi picked up a long, faux-fur tail that matched the aqua ears and tied it with more ribbons to the metal ring.

 

Grinning, Murphy wiggled her hips, and the furry tail brushed sensuously over her bare legs. “That’s fantastic.”

 

“I know, right?” After putting a lacy collar around Murphy’s neck—one that said “Stray”—Gabi used a face paint stick to sketch on whiskers, then a black triangle on the end of Murphy’s nose.

 

“I can see why they put a mirror here.” Murphy checked herself out and laughed. Hey, she looked pretty cute.

 

“Now for me.” Gabi pulled on a leather puppy hood with floppy ears and a snout that covered her nose and down to her upper lip. Her mouth and jaw were uncovered.

 

More digging through the trunk yielded a leather harness with a rubbery tail that stuck straight up. Gabi put it on. “I started out with a droopy tail, but these silicone ones are great. I can make it wag if I move my hips right.” The tail whipped back and forth.

 

“Oh, cool.”

 

“Here, have some furry mittens.” Gabi handed them over.

 

This is so weird. Murphy pulled them on, admiring the white fur with black toe-buttons on the underside. “Thank you for being with me. I just kind of want to see what it feels like.”

 

“Hey, you’re getting a much better intro than I did. I said ‘Bite me’ to Master Marcus and ended up in a puppy rig, crawling around the top of the bar. And having to obey everyone who was sitting there.”

 

“No. No way. He seems so nice.”

 

“Oh, way. He is nice…most of the time. Like most Masters, he has a line that you step over at your own risk.”

 

Gabi pulled on leather mitts and fastened the Velcro around her wrists. “Let’s go play.” She opened the door, waved Murphy through, and followed.

 

Murphy glanced toward the corner. The guy in the corner was watching, thickly muscled arms crossed over his chest.

 

“Onto your paws,” Gabi whispered.

 

Right, right. Murphy dropped to her hands and knees. She felt like an idiot…only all the other pets were on all fours.

 

Dropping beside her, Gabi sat back on her heels, lifted her nose, and made an ooo-ooo-ooo howl.

 

The…animals…turned to look.

 

With enthusiastic squeaks, a puppy and a kitten bounded over. The gold-eared, black-haired kitten had intense blue eyes. Kneeling up, she waved her mittened paws in the air.

 

The puppy wore perky ears, and her cute snout revealed most of the woman’s brown face and big brown eyes. In an open invitation for Gabi to play, the puppy went down on her forearms with her ass in the air.

 

Gabi’s eyes lit, and she bumped shoulders with the kitten, then pawed at the puppy before turning to Murphy, wiggling her hips to make her tail wag.

 

The two turned to look at her, and Murphy tensed. But the smiles were welcoming.

 

With pushes and whines and bounces, all three steered Murphy to a bunch of balls and batted them around with mittened paws and cute snouts. Tails wagged; ears flapped. There were hisses and growls and mews.

 

Tentatively, Murphy batted a ball back. Tried her own meow and mew then pounced on a bright red ball.

 

A bigger dog joined in but put his knee on her hand and squashed her fingers.

 

Ow! Rather than cursing, she let loose with a pitiful mew, mew, mew.

 

The dog whined his apology, licked her arm—ick—and gave her a doggy grin.

 

She forgave him with a long purr, rubbed her head against his shoulder, then batted a ball at Gabi.

 

Okay, this pet play stuff really is fun.

 

 

 

 

 

Interesting. The young woman who’d been observing with Rainie had returned with Gabi. As a kitten.

 

As the Master in charge, Saxon was sitting off to one side in his designated corner. It was far enough away from the mosh that he could talk, question, and reprimand without disturbing the rest of the room.

 

Resting his elbows on his thighs, he watched how Gabi’s friend behaved with Uzuri and Kim, two of the Shadowkittens—the submissives of the club’s Masters.

 

What kind of a person would she be? Some people stayed much the same, whether role-playing or not. Others took on an entirely different personality—a quiet subbie might well change into a ferocious wildcat.

 

This one… Her eyes had been wide, her body language subdued when she watched the play as a human. Now… She was still wide-eyed but getting into a kitten’s headspace. Purring, playing with the ball.

 

She was slower to jump in than some. He’d bet she was a watcher, maybe even shy. Not like him. He tended to leap into situations, at least when not at work.

 

Quite the adorable little cat, with lush brown hair that reached the tops of her breasts. Gorgeous dark eyes. A wide mouth with full lips. Her body was toned rather than muscular, slender with small breasts.

 

And those legs… Mmm. Long and shapely and lightly tanned.

 

But no, Halvorson. No sex in the pet play area, not even in his head. Besides, from her body language, she wasn’t into the seductive kitten role.

 

A yelp from the other side of the room had him on his feet.

 

A sassy brat kitten had her claws in a puppy’s tail. Since it was an anal-plug tail, well… That could get messy.

 

Saxon walked over to disengage the two. “Bad kitty.” At the brat’s defiant expression, he swatted her ass hard enough she knew it was punishment and not play. “You know better. Behave.”
