Midnight Rapture(37)
Author: Anya Summers

He pumped his hips as he came, gliding deep until he was spent and sated. He slumped against her back, pressing his mouth against her neck. Before he moved, he murmured, “You’re such a good lass. Daddy enjoyed fucking his pussy and can’t wait to do it again.”

She whimpered. “Me too, Daddy.”

He turned her face and took her mouth in a tender kiss that made her heart clench. When he ended it, he withdrew from her body, removed the butt plug, and undid the cuffs before rubbing life back into her arms.

Boneless and contented, she laid there while he rose and disposed of the condom. Jasper returned with a warm washcloth and gently cleaned her up between her thighs. Then he helped her beneath the covers and slid in beside her. He shut off the light. Then drew her against his side. He pressed his lips against her forehead. “Sleep, lass.”

“Yes, Daddy.” And she closed her eyes. Snuggled against him, the long day caught up with her, and she was out in minutes.

In the morning, Freya woke alone. It was far later in the day than she normally woke up. She couldn’t believe it. The sun was up. It wasn’t that early predawn darkness. Springing out of bed, panic gripped her by the throat.

Maddie. She’d slept so late and left Maddie to fend for herself. It made her the worst mom in the world.

Freya threw on clothes, not paying attention to what she put on, only to realize as she raced out of the room and down the hall to Maddie’s that she wore her shorts and one of Jasper’s shirts. It smelled like him. And while she wanted to stop and press her nose into the soft material and inhale him, she had to get Maddie.

She barreled into her bedroom. But she was gone.

Before she began hyperventilating, she knew she had to be with Jasper. But it didn’t stop the fear. For so long, she’d been the only one guarding her, the only one taking care of her, that having anyone else step in felt foreign.

She raced down the stairs, trying to make it appear like she wasn’t having a meltdown before she’d had a cup of coffee.

Freya located her in the kitchen at the table with Jasper. She sat in the highchair, happily shoveling eggs and pancakes into her mouth.

“Mama.” Maddie beamed, like she was having the best morning ever.

All the panic drained from her body. She was fine. Great, even. She had nothing to worry about. More for her than Maddie, she walked over and kissed her forehead. “Morning, baby. You’re eating eggs this morning.”

Maddie nodded and shoved more scrambled eggs into her mouth, acting like it was the best thing she’d ever tasted. How about that? He’d gotten her to eat eggs. Would wonder never cease?

And then she finally glanced at Jasper, her husband, and furiously blushed.

His cobalt eyes lit with pleasure when he realized what she wore. “Morning, lass. You look rested.”

“I can’t believe I slept in like that. I don’t remember the last time I slept until eight.” It was before she had Maddie, if not longer than that.

“You more than earned a morning in bed.” He winked, a wicked smile curled his lips. The heat within his stare made her want to fan her face.

“Thanks for taking care of Maddie this morning.”

“She’s a sweet lassie.”

“Who probably needs a diaper change by now.”

“We took care of it, didn’t we?” He tweaked Maddie’s nose, much to her delight. Maddie was falling for the big Scot. Not that she blamed her daughter one bit, because she understood it.

But wait—he what? “You changed her diaper?”

“Yep. She was wet. So we changed her diaper, then came downstairs. I got her started with some milk and apple slices while I made pancakes and eggs.”

This man. How was he real?

Going with her gut, she went to him. He sat in a chair at the table beside her daughter. Took his face in her hands, his beard tickling her palms, and leaned down and kissed him. She poured everything he made her feel into her kiss.

He gripped her waist and drew her between his legs.

He was too good to be true. And she was in serious trouble. Because he made her want to lay her heart at his feet and beg him to keep them. With him, she could be what she always in her heart of hearts wanted to be—a stay-at-home mama with a big family full of love and devotion.

And the thought of having his child rocked her foundation because she could see how happy they could be. The vision reached into the very heart of her and grabbed hold. Did they have a chance to make this marriage the real thing?

When she ended the kiss and lifted her mouth, Jasper’s smolder made her wet instantly. It was like he’d performed hoodoo on her pussy.

“Now, that’s a good morning ritual I want every day of our marriage,” Jasper growled, his hands squeezing her hips.

She leaned in and whispered in his ear. “Yes, Daddy.”

He cupped the back of her head and murmured beside her ear. “Careful, lass, otherwise I’m liable to forget myself. And that means putting the television on and Maddie in her playpen while I bend you over the kitchen table and fuck you raw.”

Her sex clenched at his dirty threat. Jasper drew back, his hot gaze studying her closely. As if he waited for her to push him past the limit. And god, she was tempted.

“Why do I get the feeling you wouldn’t fight me?”

Because she wouldn’t. She craved his wicked brand of lovemaking. She ached to feel him inside her again. Not that she would admit how much power he had over her. She shrugged. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. You know, it’s such a nice day out. We should go for a walk after breakfast.”

“I’m at your disposal. Whatever my girls want to do today.”

His girls? Her soul shivered.

Freya liked the sound of that. She liked him calling them that far too much. “Well, why don’t we do that first and we can figure the rest out.”

“We’re pretty close to Vail. Perhaps tomorrow we could go do the touristy thing.”

“Yay.” Maddie clapped.

Jasper tossed his head back and laughed, a deep throaty chuckle that twisted in her belly. “I guess we’re going to Vail tomorrow.”

“Sounds like a plan. Would my wife like some pancakes?” He squeezed her hips again. The man seemed to enjoy touching her since he’d yet to release her.

Not that she minded one bit. She liked the way he couldn’t let her go, the way he held her while she’d fallen asleep. This man was making it next-level impossible to keep her heart from getting involved. “I’d love some. Where are they? I can—”

“Get yourself a cup of coffee and have a seat. I’m more than capable of feeding my wife.” Jasper released her and rose from his seat. He forced her back, giving her a saucy wink and a playful smack on her butt.

Freya fucking purred at the love tap. If Maddie wasn’t awake and watching every move, she’d jump him.

She’d been worried all week for nothing. Their marriage was turning out better than she could have imagined. Now she just needed the passports to go through, and everything would be perfect.

And she would not worry about potential pitfalls today. For once in her life, she was just going to enjoy living. Enjoy the fact that she was married to a smoking hot, testosterone-laden manly man with the best heart of anyone she’d ever met, who liked giving her multiple orgasms because he enjoyed giving her pleasure.
