Reckless (The Hartleys)(39)
Author: Valeria Heights

“You look tired,” I heard him whisper to her. “You have to take care of my niece.” Then he straightened up.

“Your niece?” She asked with a smile.

“A hunch,” he shrugged. They shared a long look, then Clem turned to me.

“Do you mind calling it a night?”

“Go,” I waved a hand. “I’ll wait for the others to get bored.”

“Thank you,” Clem said with relief in her voice. “I will show you the free bedrooms.” Then she dragged Tyler away. Lucas and I looked their way for a moment.

“I wonder if he is secretly a nice guy,” he said.

“He has his moments every now and again,” I answered.

“He agreed to be the best man after I told him you and Nick broke up.”

“You told him?” My throat clenched.

“Yeah. I think he didn’t want you to be stuck with one of my married friends. He also promised not to bring a date, so at least both of you are going to be solo.” Some of my discomfort must have shown on my face. “Shit,” Lucas continued. “I’m sorry. We didn’t mean to talk about you and Nick behind your back, but we all know Tyler. We didn’t want him doing or saying something that would upset you. Especially at the wedding. And you know how people get at weddings…”

“Talking about the poor, single maid of honor?” I asked, not at all interested in that conversation. I wanted to be alone so I could properly obsess over Tyler and analyze every word he said to me earlier that night. Lucas just nodded at my question. “I’m not upset Nick and I broke up,” I said, and I meant every word. “It’s fine. We weren’t a good fit. You don’t have to spare my feelings.”

“Good. You will find someone better.”

“I know.”

Lucas bumped his shoulder into mine and stood up. He approached Clem, who had returned and was now talking to Madison. The three of them said good night to the rest of us and left. Half an hour later everyone was in their bedrooms, including me.

I waited until two in the morning and decided they were all asleep. And that’s when I snuck out of my room.

Chapter Twenty-One

Hannah

“That’s the second time you sneak into my bedroom in the middle of the night, little Spencer. Did you come to steal again?”

I stood by the door, looking at Tyler. He laid on his bed, wide awake obviously. The moment he lifted himself in a sitting position, I walked over to the bed. The curtains were open, so there was enough light in the room for me to be able to see every move of his body, but his face remained in the shadows.

“Lucas thinks you agreed to be the best man because you wanted to spare me the discomfort of being the only single person at that altar.”

“I’m not that thoughtful guy, little Spencer,” he shook his head. “I thought you knew that already.”

I completely disagreed with that but said nothing. Instead, I asked.

“Why did you agree then?”

“I don’t know,” he moved to the edge of the bed. Two small steps separated us. He ran a hand over his face and shoved it in his hair. “Why did you two break up?”

“Not because of you, if that’s what you’re asking.”

Tyler stood up slowly and came standing right in front of me. I caught a glimpse of a smile on his face.

“Good,” he said and slid his hand around my neck and pulled me closer. Our lips were just an inch apart.

“Are you and Chloe together?” He shook his head. “Good.”

I lifted myself on my toes and pressed my mouth to his. His hand squeezed the back of my neck in response. I moaned. He angled my head back to gain a better access and his tongue invaded my mouth. I slid my hands over his bare back, and he dug his fingers in my hair, squeezing it hard, and removed his mouth from mine. My eyes found his. He held my gaze for a while.

“I am still a bastard.”

I didn’t believe that one bit, but telling him that right now wasn’t something he would handle well. Not to mention he would read too much into what we were doing. I didn’t want him overthinking this. For once in my life, I wanted to do something for the pleasure of it and I didn’t want someone else’s conscience to stand in my way.

“You are still a bastard,” I agreed and gently bit on his lower lip. He pulled me by the hair and exposed my neck. He pressed open mouthed kisses from the spot behind my ear down to my collarbone.

“I am sorry,” he murmured into my skin and opened his fists to release my hair. I didn’t have to ask him for what. I knew he meant the night he left my apartment without so much as a note. Tyler took my lower lip in his mouth and sucked on it. The pulsation between my legs was unbearable.

“I want you,” I managed to say when he moved his mouth back to my neck again. I slid a hand between us and cupped his erection through his underwear. He smiled against my skin and bit me.

“I get it. Believe me,” he pressed himself against my palm to show me he felt the same way. “But I don’t have a condom.”

I leaned back to look at him. He wasn’t joking. I tried to keep a straight face.

“I’m not on the pill,” I said, then burst into laughter.

“What’s so funny?” He reached down under my dress and covered my ass with his palms, then squeezed.

“You. Not having a condom. At a bachelor party.”

A sexy half grin formed on his lips, while he slowly moved his hands towards my center. He reached the edges of my panties and I stopped laughing in an instant.

“My dick is not the only body part I know how to use, little Spencer.”

He pressed a finger to my entrance through my damp underwear and slowly moved it up to rub my clit without removing the fabric. I arched my back and my hips moved on their own.

The silence around us and his slow, measured movements drove me out of my mind. He spun us around and a second later my back hit the mattress and my panties disappeared from my body. Tyler kneeled between my legs, spreading my thighs with his hands. He sucked on my clit, and I whimpered surprised with the sudden pressure my nerve endings had to endure. My legs squeezed together involuntarily, but Tyler’s palms caressed my thighs, in the same moment his tongue licked all the way from my slid to my clit with one long, deliberately slow stroke, and I relaxed again.

The pleasure felt almost too much and not nearly enough in the same time. I arched my back, raising my breasts in the air. A finger circled my nipple in the same slow rhythm his tongue circled my clit. I was panting uncontrollably.

“Make me come,” I wanted to order him, but it sounded like a plea.

“I don’t like to be rushed, little Spencer,” he said but removed his hand from my breast and pressed a finger to my entrance. “You will have to endure the inconvenience of being eaten out slowly. I want to lick every inch of you.”

My head went blank. His touch, his words overwhelmed me. He wasn’t penetrating me with his fingers, but he rubbed my slit, spreading my wetness all over.

I wanted the release, so I rose on my elbow to look down at him. His eyes met mine. He knew what I was thinking but was planning on postponing my orgasm as long as he could.
