Sweet Curves (Sweet Enough to Eat #2)(6)
Author: Mila Crawford ,Aria Cole

“Are you sure?” She asked a little breathless by the time I’d pulled away.

“I don’t have a choice. If I come up there now, I won’t be able to keep my hands off of you, and our first time needs to be perfect, Sweet Cheeks.”

I pecked her on the lips one last time before shoving my hands in my pockets and double stepping down the stairs and down the sidewalk, I couldn't turn around, not even for a glance, or I’d run right back there and crush her into my arms and cover her in my lips until morning.

“So, is this the night?”

“The night when Sawyer is trying the dessert I named after him?” I caught my sister’s eyes on the screen. She’d video called me five minutes before Sawyer was set to arrive for our tenth date in three weeks. “This is the night.”

My sister only shook her head. “No, no, no poor innocent thing you, I meant the night you lose the big V.”

I nearly choked on my tongue, the spoon in my hand dropping into the pot of bubbling soup. “Uhm, really? If I think about his lips anywhere near mine I’ll combust. You’re making my nerves worse!”

“Fine, just let me know what you think of this lingerie I bought for the wedding night--” she held up three threads of fabric hanging on a padded hanger.

“Hanging up now!” I sing-songed without looking, the sound of her maniacal cackle the last thing I heard before I hit end on the video call and the buzzer at the front door rang through my apartment.

Oh crap.

I sped to the front door, untying my apron as I went and shoving it behind the pillow on the sofa before swinging the front door wide.

“Hi!”

His hands cupped my cheeks, coming in for the kiss instantly. Long and slow, he parted my lips, the taste of him on me already more than I could freakin’ take.

“Hello, to you too.” I sucked in a breath when he finally pulled away, tingles firing off in every part of my body.

“Hard at work making my namesake?” He slipped the pad of his thumb down my cheek and then licked it. “Mm, tastes delicious already.”

I flamed with embarrassment. “I’m the messiest baker, even grandma used to laugh at me.”

“You’re the most adorable baker,” his arms came around my waist and hugged me to him as he kicked the door of my apartment closed behind us. “Talking to you on the phone every night before I close my eyes and first thing in the morning is pretty great,” he referenced our multiple times a day phone calls that had ramped up over the last few weeks, “but in the flesh is so much nicer.”

“You get me in the flesh every day at the gym,” I reminded him.

“I do, all sweaty and begging me to stop.” He winked.

Memories of him doing push-ups beside me made me smile. Sawyer was a caring person, and he was training me in the same way--he didn’t bark orders like Jocko--he dropped down on the floor and worked out with me when I needed more motivation to finish my reps.

He was a godsend really, and had already pushed me past boundaries I didn’t know I had. I still wasn’t the size two that was appropriate to my mother, but my curves had more definition and I felt amazing. Sawyer had made me realize that I was wonderful the way I already was. I was starting to see my true worth and how my beauty wasn’t cookie cutter and based on societal expectations and I was finally okay with that. In truth, he kind of made me feel like a badass Superwoman when we worked out together--and that was his super power. Making me feel special and strong and worthy, every single moment we spent together.

This date tonight was our first date in a while because we’d both been so busy, and while I’d chosen to workout nights when the gym was less busy, it was growing busier and busier all the time, Sawyer was already talking about hiring another trainer to pick up the slack.

We talked endlessly while we ate the vegetable soup and casserole I’d made for us, and then came time for the unveiling--my back to him, I returned to the table slowly, nerves eating up my stomach as I looked over the delicious concoction I’d made--a combination of warm and sweet flavors, honey and cinnamon and a dash of powdered sugar to bring out the flavor of the blackberries sprinkled at the edges of the plate.

I sucked in a breath and turned, avoiding his eyes as I placed the dessert on the tiny table.

“Whoa,” his eyes grew huge. “That looks incredible.”

Before I could sit, he hauled me down on his lap and kissed me softly, his hands trailing my waist and thighs, skimming sensitive spots and making me groan in eager pleasure.

“I can’t wait to try a taste of your specialty.” He picked up a spoon, dragging it through the first bite and teasing it at my lips. I shook my head, too nervous just waiting for him to taste it for the first time.

He plopped it in his mouth, eyes closing on impact before he chewed and swallowed, a sexy groan falling from his lips. “Incredible.”

He took a few more bites before dropping his spoon and lifting me in his arms, cementing our lips so I could taste the honey and berry sweetness on his flesh.

We kissed with wild pleasure, his hands traveling my skin as he stood, his thick erection poking into my hot core as he backed us to the sofa. His fingers nudged under my waistband and swept at my soaked core, eliciting a riot of feelings before desperate little moans fell on my lips.

“You taste way better than that dessert, sweet cheeks.” He pulled his hand from my pants and swiped the glistening arousal across my lips. And then his lips were on mine, tasting me and sharing the sexy sweetness of my arousal and my dessert on our lips.

It was the sexiest thing I’d ever felt--he was the sexiest thing I’d ever felt.

“I've been waiting for the right time to tell you this, but...Katie, from the day we met there was never anyone else for me. The thought of dating anyone but you was weird. I've never even kissed anyone but you. I loved you then and, if it’s possible, I love you even more now.”

“Sawyer, I tried to get over you, I tried, but every single guy I looked at I just compared to you. It was hopeless. I’ve never been with anyone, not even another date. You're my first, in every way. You were even my first kiss.”

He laughed, kissing me again. “I’m so glad to hear I made such a lasting impression.” His kisses turned more dominant, greedier. “You don't know what it does to me to hear you say that.”

“I couldn’t sleep last night, I was so excited to see you tonight. I thought maybe you’d even be willing to come to the dreaded wedding of the century with me…” I confessed as his hands travelled my sensitive body.

“Oh?” He sank a little deeper into the pillows. “I would love to be your date for that wedding, but first, you have to tell me what were you thinking about that kept you up all night?”

His eyes glinted mischievously as I hesitated. “Your hands, your mouth, on me…”

“Where?” He husked just as one of his hands found the string of my apron behind the pillow.

“Everywhere.”

He arched an eyebrow, running the apron string through his fingers. “I’d like more specific directions than that.”

He was flirting now, the twinkling in his eye and that cocky grin about burning up my insides.
