Hard Lust(23)
Author: Tina Donahue

“It’s the freckles,” Racan said. “They’re always trouble.”

Vespar covered his eyes. “Her pouty lips, too, plus her training.”

Andros shook his head. “You mean as a waitress?”

“An aspiring lawyer.” He dropped his hand. “She was taking litigation classes at night. Claimed she knows how to win people over.”

Outrage deepened Racan’s complexion. “Like us? You mean she’s been playing us this entire time?”

It appeared so. Andros shouldn’t have been disappointed, but he was. Despite Megan’s doggedness being worse than having to please a prissy saint, he’d enjoyed the challenge she’d presented and her integrity in helping her sister. No surprise really. Holly was blood. They weren’t and had proved fair game in her quest to leave here.

When will you ever learn? First Bethshiba, now her. “This can never happen again.”

Vespar and Racan nodded, indignation pinching their features, sorrow touching their eyes. They’d miss her, too. Guys were such idiots, him included. “From this moment forward, we keep our distance. We don’t look at, speak to, touch—”

   “Kiss,” Racan said.

“Yeah.” Vespar sighed. “Or fuck with her. Not ever. She’s poison.”

Even more so than Giselle, though for different reasons. “We’ll keep tabs on her via the monitors.”

They glanced at the wall to the left. When the damned were in here, lewd paintings and mirrors hung there. At other times, closed-circuit TVs with audio took up the space. An innovation, like the computer system, that made their jobs easier.

   And harder, too.

Each screen showed Megan delivering drinks, her smile fake and limp to her three patrons, certainly not what she’d offered Andros when he’d been inside her.

Except her reaction then must have been put on, too.

Unless he was wrong, and it wasn’t.

   Stop it.

He tried, but spotlights shone on her yielding mouth, lovely boobs, and inviting slit. His cock went from zero to more than ready in two seconds flat.

   She raised her soulful eyes.

They met his from twenty screens, the look she wore searching, seeking. Pleading?

   Shaken, he glanced away.

So had Racan and Vespar, shock on their faces.

Racan cleared his throat. “She can’t see us in here, can she?”

No former human owned that power, not even her. “It’s a coincidence. An illusion.” A spotlight or something else had caught her attention and she’d looked that way. “See?” He gestured to the screen.

Her back was to them. She clumped to the bar for new orders, the other servers flitting around her. Except for Giselle. She dragged her feet more than Megan did.

They’d have to do something about her and Giselle’s refusal to keep with the program, though not today. Andros needed a rest from females, sex, and trouble. “Are we agreed on what we need to do?”

   “Yep,” Racan said.

Vespar nodded. “From now until eternity ends, if it does, she doesn’t see us again.”

To Andros, the future seemed longer than it had seconds ago.

Chapter Ten

   Megan

After Megan’s fuckfest with Andros, Vespar, and Racan, she had expected them to check up on her, bitch about her shitty work ethic, throw her on a table or the floor and screw her brains out.

   Nothing.

Hours passed. She guessed. Time was so warped down here she’d given up trying to figure it out or them. Not once did they make an appearance. Nor did they shout orders at her over the sound system, though they did several times with other waitstaff.

   Feedback screeched again.

“Katie.” Andros’s strong voice vibrated the glasses and bar mirror. “You’re sloshing drinks. Stop that. Now.”

She dissolved into tears. “I’m sorry.” Her attention flew everywhere. “I’m moving too fast.”

“Don’t slow down,” Vespar’s voice said.

“I won’t.” She hugged her tray to her chest. “I’ll go fast, but I’ll also be careful.”

“See that you do,” Andros said.

Racan cut in. “Or lose another minute on your downtime.”

Megan had been wrong about them. They could be SOBs when they wanted. She figured their beef was with her, no one else, and intended to set them straight. “Screw that.” She lifted her chin and turned a slow circle so they’d catch her face in the cameras, wherever they’d put them. “You’re not being fair.” No one was more pliant than Katie. “She’s doing the best she can. We all are.”

   Silence. Even the music died.

The walls shook. Plaster rained down.

Big deal. She wasn’t going to let them terrorize her. “Katie’s doing a better job than I ever will. Take my damn minutes and give them to her.”

She gasped and shook her head, her blonde hair flapping. “No. Don’t say that.”

“Why the hell not?” She hugged her. “You haven’t done anything wrong.” She shouted at the ceiling and walls, “Punish me, not her. I suck at this, she doesn’t.”

   Giselle pumped her fists.

The music roared, louder than earlier.

   Even the demons cringed.

Megan waited for the worst, prepared to endure it.

The beat lowered to a barely tolerable level. Nothing else untoward happened. Everything returned to abnormal.

She rubbed Katie’s arm and leaned in so no one could hear them. “Do you know where the cameras are in here?”

“What? I don’t think there are any.”

Poor girl was too trusting. “How else could they see us?”

   “They’re demons. They have powers.”

She’d certainly believed so when they’d balled her, each sending her on a staggering carnal journey which ended with them connecting on a deeper level. Or so she’d thought. Upon her arrival here, she’d concluded this place couldn’t be any more different than Earth.

   She was wrong.

The men down here were the same as the turds on top. Once they got pussy, they split. “They may have powers, but how could they see everyone at the same time?”

   “They’re demons.”

She made them sound like rock stars. “I don’t care what they are. My guess is they’re using cameras.”
