Specter's Wake(9)
Author: Quinn Ryder

This was not me. I would never push a woman into a room full of horny bikers completely naked, serving her up to the hungry predators like she was the main course on some pussy buffet. But I wasn’t Faith anymore, not when I lived in Diego’s world. If I wanted to get my revenge I had to play by his rules—and his rules never left me room to play nice.

“Damn, baby, you’re fucking ruthless,” Diego swooned, stroking his cock back and forth.

“If you think you’re touching me with that disease-infested condom, you’re delusional.”

He laughed, throwing the used condom in the trashcan next to his desk. He grabbed another rubber and ripped open the package with his teeth, rolling it up his length. “What took you so long to get here, Fe?” Fe was Spanish for Faith, and my horrid alter-ego I created to live in Diego’s world.

“You know my brother. If he knew about us, it would start a war. I don’t want a war to start, baby. I care about you too much.”

I stalked toward him. Discarding my clothing until I was nothing but skin and lust standing before him.

“Maybe I need to have a war in order to get you full time.”

“You can have me right now.” I smiled evilly, running my hands down my body.

He licked his lips. This was our ritual. A little seductive foreplay, then a night of fucking. It’s how I kept him happy. I didn’t care about Diego, but he was fun to play with.

I stopped in front of him and slid my ass up on his desk.

“You gonna make your lady happy or keep her waiting?”

Diego was already naked and ready for me.

If there’s one thing I loved about being undercover, it was that Diego was fucking magnificent in the sack and easy on the eyes. His tattoos went on for days and his body was hard like rock, all jagged and full of amazing angles. He made it incredibly easy to be labeled his number one lady; but being number one also came with too many dangers. If he ever found out that I was fucking him because I had a hidden agenda, he’d kill me with no hesitation. Diego had always been a loose cannon, but for some reason, when it came to me, he had a soft spot that was easily manipulated.

Honestly, it wasn’t even Diego that I was worried about. It was the bitches he fucked that had me looking over my shoulder every time I left. Every day that I continued to do shit like I just did to Angelique, it left me open for retaliation. It wouldn’t be long before my reckless behavior caught up with me. The girls Diego fucked on the side didn’t like my alpha attitude or that Diego favored me over them. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were hits out on me because of all the bad shit I’ve done to them these past five years. Being hard was the only way to stay queen in this world, and if I wanted my revenge, I was going to have to wear my crown for a bit longer. Once I had my proof that Diego killed Midas and the location of where he re-buried his body, I was going to take him down and burn his club down with him.

For the last seven years I’ve been waiting and plotting for this moment—a moment when I could hold a gun to Diego’s head, look him square in the eye and say, “This is for Midas, Motherfucker”, before pulling the trigger and watching his cold, dead body hit the floor. That would be the ultimate revenge, killing the man who took my man away from me. But all that would have to wait for now. If I wanted my revenge, I had to play nice and pretend to be “Fe” a little while longer.

“Do you have any idea how much it turns me on when you do shit like that, Fe?” Diego asked while still stroking his cock.

I looked down at his dick and smiled. “I don’t know. Why don’t you show me?”

I pressed my body up against Diego’s and allowed his lips to travel my skin, but as his mouth moved across the hills of my breasts and down my torso, I couldn’t help picturing someone else trailing their kisses down my body . . . the stranger—and it was through his image that I was able to give my body up to Diego once again without any regrets.

Chapter Six

Holden

I woke up a few hours later stretched out on a king-sized bed with Filly curled up against my side. We had a good time together, but the entire time my mind was elsewhere. I couldn’t stop thinking about Faith and the club. I was proud that she could stay strong without me, but I was also shocked by her new personality. Thinking about the new edgier Faith had me fucking hard as a rock. She was like an ice cube—hard and cold on the outside, but soft and ready to melt on the inside. That’s what I wanted to be for Faith. The sun capable of melting her now frigid heart.

Filly flipped over and smiled at me sleepily.

“Looks like the first part of our deal is over. Now you need to finish the rest.”

I nodded. “I’ll find Dusty. When I do, I’ll bring her home.”

Filly briefly kissed my lips and jumped up from the bed naked. I admired the cut contours of her body and the way her dark hair fell over the tops of her breasts. She was covered in tattoos, but her best one was a boa constrictor that was wrapped around her neck, curled around the sleek contours of her torso, and ended just below her naval.

“Do all Vipers have a snake tattoo of some kind down there?”

“Only the ones who get patched in. It’s a rite of passage. In order to be considered one of the family, a snake of some kind must be tattooed near your pussy.” She ran her fingers along the intricate detailing of the boa constrictor’s body until she reached its mouth. “Wanna play again?”

“Maybe some other time. I still have work to do.”

She frowned. “I knew you were like all the others.”

I gently took her hand and brought it up to my lips. “I’m not afraid of you, Filly. Your title would never turn me off. In fact, women of power have always turned me on, especially the ones who play with knives.”

A coy smile played with her lips. “You like walking on the wild side, don’t you?”

“When you’ve dodged death as much as I have, you learn not to be afraid of anything, even deadly women with knives.” I ran my hand playfully up her side.

She giggled and pulled out of my reach. “Is it the girl then?”

I sighed. “It is. I’ve walked through the shadows of hell to come back for her. It wouldn’t be fair to get myself involved with someone else when my heart only belongs to her.”

Filly stuck out her bottom lip and ran her hand across my face. “Sexy and sweet. Why do all the good men have to be taken? If you change your mind, you know where to find me. Though, if your girl is as deep in the Armada as Dusty is, good luck getting her out.”

I grinned. “I’ll get her out, even if it means taking the whole Armada with me.”

“Good. It’s about time the Armada went up in flames. I just hope I’m still here when it happens.” Filly’s cryptic words left me a bit shaken. The amount of fear the Armada has created in the people surrounding them is unsettling. What exactly are they mixed up in? Why was everyone so afraid of the Armada now? And why was Faith involved with the club now? It was definitely time for me to swoop in and save her. I had a bad feeling that if I didn’t do something soon, I’d be too late to get her out of whatever mess she was tied up in.

When I got back to my hotel room, I noticed that the door was slightly ajar. Somebody, not the maid, was either in my room or had been in my room recently. Immediately, I reached for my pistol.
