From Then Until Forever(7)
Author: Kitty Berry

Now, they were in Diana’s car pulling up at the bottom of the hill; she sighed as Teyler came into view and her sister smiled. “Now I see why you didn’t want me to come.”

“I didn’t want you to come way before we met him today. But keep your mouth shut around him. He’s not like the guys from here.”

“Oh, I can see that,” Georgia said while she checked Teyler Walker out from head to toe.

“Don’t embarrass me,” Colleen begged.

Then the door opened, and Colleen scooted over closer to her sister to make room for Teyler. His bare leg brushed against hers and she felt a jolt of electricity she’s only ever read about in her secret stash of Harlequin romances. Usually, when a boy got this close to her, she’d have second thoughts and would wish that she were brave enough to tell him she’s so much more than just someone to have sex with. But then he’d make a comment about how she’d better not be a tease with a body like that and how she couldn’t send him off in the condition she’d created. She’d feel bad and relent, do what he wanted so she could be rid of him.

“Hey,” Teyler said, interrupting her thoughts. “Who’s the newbie?”

“Hi,” Georgia said. “I’m her sister.”

“Yeah, yeah. I see it. You guys have the same pretty blue eyes.”

Colleen wasn’t sure who blushed deeper, her sister or her. Georgia nudged her elbow into her side and Colleen let out a small grunt as the heat raised her to face.

A minute later they climbed out of the car. The first ones there, they checked to be sure everything was how they left it an hour ago then they opened the lawn chairs they brought in Diana’s trunk and sat in a circle to wait for the others to arrive.

The graduates and underclassman arrived in drips and drabs, some bringing beer and weed, others with schnapps and sodas. It wasn’t until Tommy Ingram and his band of idiots arrived with the keg and their basketballs that the party started.

“Who are they?” Teyler asked Colleen as they passed the ball around, one of them showing off his ball handling skills, doing the spider.

Colleen shrugged.

“Bunch of rich dicks,” Diana stated.

“Thinks they’re better than everyone because they have more money than everyone else and play sports.”

“They play ball?” Teyler asked with a smirk. “They any good?”

“I don’t know,” Colleen said but her sister, a little tipsy already, opened her big mouth.

“Oh, she knows just how good Tommy Ingram is.”

Colleen glared at Georgia while Teyler did the same. Then he reached for a beer and took a long pull. Colleen watched as his thick, corded neck worked the liquid down, his Adam’s apple bouncing as he swallowed, and she was forced to stifle a groan.

It didn’t take long for Tommy and his crew to prove Diana right as they appeared to have begun their drinking well before arriving at the castle. They were loud and obnoxious to every girl that walked by them to make their way to the keg. They insulted every guy that did the same. The guys brushed it off as male ribbing and laughed while the girls ate their shit up and giggled. A few of them ended up on Tommy’s friend’s laps, sucking on their necks like vampires.

“I’ll be back in a second,” Colleen said, standing up.

“Where you goin’?” Teyler asked. “I’ll come.” He didn’t like the way that one guy, the leader of his immature pack, was eyeing Colleen.

“I need to pee, so no, you’re not coming with me. I’ll be right back,” she repeated.

Not knowing her well enough and having no claim over her, Teyler nodded, but he kept an eye on things as she walked past the keg where Tommy and his friends were holding court.

They laughed and said something to her he couldn’t hear; she ignored them, so he figured it couldn’t have been all that bad, but he stood to move closer and see if he couldn’t hear them.

That was a mistake.

“I know she’s packing on the pounds, going to be a heifer after the freshman fifteen she’ll gain next year, but more cushion means better pushing, am I right?” Tommy laughed.

“You’d know, man. How many times have you tapped that?”

Tommy laughed again, harder this time, like a proud peacock with his dick out. “Enough to know that her abs ain’t tight, but her pussy sure the fuck is.”

Teyler saw red and wanted to deck the dick in the face to teach him a lesson in manners and how to treat a woman, but his father would kill him if he brought media attention to them on what is supposed to be a quiet vacation before he leaves for school. Or worse, he could hurt himself a few weeks before summer training begins. That would really piss his father off. Teyler Walker’s father is a sports newscaster. He’s also an NBA legend. Thankfully, he’s kept his family out of the limelight and only the coaches and those in the basketball world know his connection to the great Leroy Walker.

Teyler wouldn’t have pegged Colleen for dumb enough to fall for this asshole’s charms and sleep with him. But he’s seen firsthand, more times than he’s proud of, what you can get girls to do with you when you’re an athlete. Falls Village seemed like a small town that lacked any real action or excitement. He’s sure if Tommy and his team beat the other local high schools, everyone here probably assumed they were good. That thought made him laugh. That dickhead wouldn’t know what it took to be good if it hit him in the back of the head like Teyler would love to do with a ball right now.

As that thought made him smirk, Colleen came back into view. All sweet curves and woman, nothing like most of the girls her age that starve themselves to be paper thin. Teyler liked a girl that wouldn’t break under him. It forced him to adjust himself as he thought of having Colleen in that position.

Tommy’s eyes moved between Colleen’s and Teyler’s and he didn’t like the look on either or their faces. He also didn’t like that Teyler was very obviously turned on by her. The last thing he needed was Colleen sleeping with the tourist, comparing their skills in bed, then telling the town about it. By the looks of this dude, Tommy was afraid he’d come up sorely lacking in that competition. Also not wanting his friends to get any ideas that he’s not at the top of the pecking order, Tommy decided to stake a claim and challenge Teyler.

Big mistake.

As Colleen walked past him, Tommy grabbed her arm with one hand while patting her ass with the other.

“Don’t touch me, Tommy. I thought I made myself clear about us already.”

He swung her body around, so she was standing in front of him then swooped her legs out from under her, causing Colleen to land on his lap. “Why don’t you put that mouth of yours to good use and suck my fucking dick again. It’s not like it’d be the first time, and, sweetheart, I’m sure it won’t be the last either.”

Teyler had seen and heard enough.

He was standing in front of Tommy in a flash and he caught Colleen when Tommy got up and let her tumble out of his lap. Once he righted her, Teyler stood in Tommy’s face, nose to nose, letting his chest puff out.

“What are you going to do, boy?” Tommy asked and Teyler didn’t care for his choice of words. He was no one’s boy, and the term was insulting coming from this rich, white kid, who probably had a family member of not that long ago who had had a boy.
