Chasing Cain(49)
Author: Megs Pritchard

Cain sighed, his eyes blinking open, and Archer shoved all of those thought to one side as he watched him slowly wake. Cain rolled his head on the pillow and blinked at him, a soft smile on his lips.

“Hey,” Archer said softly.

“Hey, you. Been awake long?”

“Not really. Just thinking.”

“About?” Cain moved closer and snuggled into his side.

“Us and moving in together.”

“We kinda mentioned it last night.”

“Before we became distracted.” Archer smiled and kissed Cain’s hair.

“Hmmm. It was a nice sort of distraction.”

“It was.”

“And we could have more of them when we move in together.”

Archer kissed him again. “You want to?”

“Only with you. Soon, I think. I hate not spending the night with you when one of us finishes late. It’ll be nice coming home to you, even if you’re asleep. Getting into bed with you, watching you sleep, knowing you’ll be there when I wake.”

“Unless I have the early shift.”

Cain chuckled. “Yeah.” He sat up and lay his hand on Archer’s chest. “Let’s do it. I love you, and I want to spend my life with you. Who knows what the future will bring? We only live once, so screw those who say it’s wrong.”

“My thoughts too.” He tugged Cain closer and kissed his jaw, moving his legs in a way that had Cain laying between them. “Hmm. This is nice.”

Cain kissed Archer’s chest and rubbed against him. Archer gasped and arched into Cain’s thrust, feeling their dicks slide along each other. Cain reached between their bodies and grabbed their dicks, stroking them slowly.

Archer’s hands slid down Cain’s back and gripped his ass. “We could do this every morning,” he moaned.

“Another positive point.”

Archer chuckled then gasped as pleasure rolled through him. “So good, Cain.”

“Yeah. Close.”

“Me too.” He could feel his balls pull up and bit his lip, thrusting his dick into Cain’s hand. Cain trembled above him, and Archer moaned again. “So close.”

“Come for me, Archer. I want to feel you come in my hand.”

“Cain,” he gasped. His body jerked and shuddered, and he arched up as Cain stroked him through his orgasm. He was vaguely aware of Cain coming too and slid his hands up Cain’s sweat-covered back, holding him as he collapsed on top of him. “Every morning like this? Sounds great to me.”

Cain coughed out a laugh and lifted his head. “It does, doesn’t it.“ He grimaced and then suddenly grinned, heat flashing in his eyes. “Wanna get clean in the shower?”

“Why do I think that’ll lead to something more?”

“’Cause it will.”

Archer grinned and kissed Cain. “Lead the way. I’m all yours.”

“This weekend?” Cain asked as he stood and pulled Archer up.

“Yeah. Sounds like a plan to me.” They both grinned at each other, and then Archer smacked Cain on the ass. “Shower, Cain.”

Cain leered at him, his eyes looking him up and down. “Oh yeah. Shower.”

“Okay, Archer, you have way too many shoes for one man.”

“I like shoes.”

“Hadn’t noticed,” Knox grunted as he pushed past, carrying a box of Archer’s belongings. “What have you got in here, Archer? It weighs a fucking ton!” Knox grunted again as he shrugged the box into an easier position to carry.

“Kitchen stuff.”

“So party at yours?”

“Once we’ve got everything in, I’ll get us pizza, and we can relax with some beers.”

“No, we won’t.” Lydia shooed Knox into the house. “I’ve brought food and drink, so once everything is in, we’ll sit down and have a moving in party.” She wagged her finger in Archer’s face. “You are in my bad books. Why didn’t you tell me about today? I had to find out from Corey when we were at Finishing Touch yesterday.”

Archer glanced at Cain who was looking everywhere but at him. “I didn’t want you to worry, Mom. We’ll be fine.”

“And you didn’t want me trying to talk you out of it.”

“Mom,” Archer whined.

“No, I understand, but I’m a little upset you felt the need to hide this from me.”

“Lydia, the boys had their reasons.”

“Don’t go defending them, Robert, or you’ll be sleeping on the sofa tonight.”

Robert looked at Archer and Cain then at Lydia. “Boys, you’re on your own with this one.” He walked into the house as Lydia folded her arms across her chest.

“Thanks, Dad!”

“You’re welcome, son.”

Cain grumbled something under his breath, but Archer couldn’t hear him. “Mom.” Lydia looked at him, her nose in the air. “I’m sorry. I—we—should have said something to you but didn’t want you to worry. I won’t do it again.”

“Why? Are you planning on moving in with lots of different men?”

“What? No! Cain’s the man for me. The only man.”

“Good. I think you two are perfect, and I’ll be very upset if something should happen between you.” The warning was clear in the tone of her voice, and Archer nodded.

“I’ve no plans to leave Archer, Lydia. I love him.”

“That’s all a mom wants to hear.” She held Archer’s face in her hands and kissed his cheeks. “I love you, son, and I only want you to be happy.” She reached across to Cain and did the same thing to him. “Talk if you have problems. Don’t hide them from each other. It only makes you resentful, and that only causes problems.” She stopped back and smiled. “Now, let’s finish moving you in and then we can sit, eat, and drink to your future together.” She took a couple of steps away then glanced over her shoulder. “I like the idea of Anton having the apartment when he’s ready.”

Archer nodded. “It’ll be good for him to have his own space when he feels like he can handle it.”

She nodded and walked inside the house, and Cain put his arm around Archer’s waist. “I love Lydia, but man, she scares me sometimes.”

“Try growing up with her.” Archer smiled and kissed Cain. “She’s the best mom ever.”

“I like her.”

Both Archer and Cain turned to Anton who had spoken. “Yeah, she is nice.” Cain agreed.

“Thanks, you know, for everything.”

“That’s okay.” Archer pointed to the van behind Anton. “You can take some boxes in while Mom sets up the food.”

Anton gave them a small smile that lasted about a second then turned and walked over to the van. Small steps, but he was making them in the right direction.

“Come on. There’s more things to move, and I’m hungry.” Archer chuckled as Cain walked over to the van and followed behind. When he reached Cain, he hugged him from behind. “I love you.”

Cain turned in his arms and kissed him softly on the lips. “I love you too. Welcome home.”
