With a sigh, I straightened. “You better go get ready for work. You’re already late.”
Creed shook his head. “Not today. I arranged everything with Vonda and my boss, and we’re playing hooky.”
“Are you serious?”
He grabbed my beard and gave a little tug. “I knew today would be tough for you, so I thought we could do something special while Jake’s at school.”
My melancholy mood lifted, excitement taking its place. “What did you have in mind?”
Creed pulled me close and whispered in my ear, “I’m going to make you breakfast, then I’m going to make love to you. After that, I’m going to make you lunch while you recover, and then I think I’ll blow you. Since your mom is still going to pick our boy up from school so he can adjust to his new schedule, before we go get him, we’re going to take a shower so that I can make you feel good one last time. How does that sound?” He bit the lobe of my ear.
This man. Two and a half years in and he still managed to surprise me. I’m not sure how, though, since he’d made me his priority from the minute we met. “I think it sounds like we better get in the house so you can get busy,” I said with a wink, then I smacked his ass and strode up the driveway, knowing he’d catch up and be right there beside me—always.
